Welcome to our Centre

Our Springfield child care centre is ideally located for families in surrounding suburbs near Springfield Central, Spring Mountain, Springfield Lakes and Greenbank.

Guardian Springfield offers a leading Kindergarten Program, led by our university-qualified teachers which helps prepare our older children for the exciting transition to school. This program is in addition to the amazing learning experiences our dedicated Educators and Teachers prepare for children of all ages – from six months to six years.

Our Springfield childcare centre offers:

  • Quality learning programs such as Joy of Reading, Cooking and Sustainability
  • Engaging indoor learning spaces full of quality educational resources
  • Expansive outdoor play spaces with a sandpit, bike track and veggie garden
  • On-site Chef providing fresh snacks and meals daily
  • Highly experienced Educators and degree-qualified Teachers

The Queensland Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week. The funding off sets the fees for children who turn four years old by 30 June in the year before they attend primary school. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

We are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year which gives the children an appreciation for diversity and an understanding of the world around them.

At Guardian Springfield long day care centre the children get out and about on regular excursions, which fosters a great connection with the local community. We visit local places such as the parklands for nature walks, the library, F45 gym, Bunnings and the Queensland Museum. These opportunities to get out and about give the children an appreciation for their local community and the people who live there.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families have the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of their child’s learning. Easily accessible for families, our Learning Exchange Display provides the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share with you any updates on their progress every day. You will also have the chance to share with us your own personal goals and visions for us to implement, having direct input in your child’s educational journey!

Families will also be given access to our family communication app Storypark, where we will share with you any significant updates in your child’s day, as well as any other important updates that happen in the centre – ensuring that you’re always connected, even when you’re not here.

We have an incredible on-site cook who prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. To further explore food at the Centre our cook and Educators also host cooking classes for the children to get involved in.

Begin the adventure at Guardian Springfield today by booking a tour or speaking with our team.

We’re Exceeding! What does that mean? Every six months, our Centres are assessed by ACECQA, the national body with the responsibility for monitoring the quality of all registered child care centres in Australia. A rating of Exceeding National Quality Standard means that you can be assured that this Centre is providing an exceptional level of care and attention for your child.

Centre Manager

“I absolutely love seeing the wonder and amazement on children’s faces when they engage with the learning opportunities our environments create. This inspires me to go the extra distance to make our service truly special.”

Where children are supported to be brave, curious, and bold in their learning, for the best possible start to life.

Rhythm of the Day

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment and no two days are the same.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Learning should be fun! Learning through play allows children to build their knowledge, develop confidence, and embrace curiosity.

Kindergarten Program

Our specialist two-year kindergarten/preschool program is led by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Children explore and understand their world in an environment of safety and security. It’s where they develop the foundational literacy and numeracy skills to thrive.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.

Outstanding in Every Way!We couldn’t be happier with Guardian Springfield! From the moment we walked through the doors, the care and professionalism of the entire team stood out. Renee, the centre manager, is simply amazing—she’s always positive, approachable, and such a strong yet kind leader. You can see how much her staff respect her, and it's clear she’s done a fantastic job hiring such an incredible team. They genuinely care about the kids, going beyond just “babysitting” as I've known other centres to do. The effort they put into helping my child grow and learn is beyond impressive. It’s so reassuring to know they are not just preparing them for the next year, but for life. The centre itself is always quite clean and tidy when I’m there, whether it’s for drop-off or pick-up, and the team is always engaging. They make a point of updating me on my child's day and progress, which makes me feel so connected and confident in the care she’s receiving. The communication is excellent and goes above and beyond any expectation I’ve ever had.Honestly, if anyone has anything negative to say about this centre, I’d have to assume their expectations are unrealistic because Guardian Springfield is a gem! It’s not easy finding a place you can fully trust with your little ones, but this team has earned that trust a thousand times over.

The team at Springfield have been so welcoming since the moment I stepped through the door. Each team member looks at ways to welcome my boy into their family with open arms, even members of the older age groups happily talk with him. My boy even comes home and shared what he been learning, with him saying their morning routine regularly at home, “land! Sky! Friends! I!” Thanks team Springfield for being amazing!

Great staff ive had my son in since he was in nursey always had good experiences with management and educators, very understanding and reasonable to all requests and understanding that we cant just change things at a drop of a hat and that certain adjustments take time.Very helpful during some personal changes within the family to provide assistance and support have loved working with the management team with anything from day to day to back end accounts and care. You will always be acknowledged and greeted with warm and happiness. You can see the bonds the kids form and how that helps them grow into the little humans they are.

This is an amazing centre and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My son has been enrolled at Guardian Early Learning Centre, Springfield since he was 4 months old. He has developed wonderful relationships with his teachers and settles quickly when I drop him off in the morning. The teaching team are amazing and always go the extra mile for my son in both care and learning.
