Allara Street Early Learning Centre

Every day is an opportunity for discovery and growth at Allara Street Early Learning Centre, which is rated exceeding in the National Quality Standard. With a range of exciting, resource-rich environments including an indoor/outdoor program, herb and vegetable gardens, and sustainably sourced outdoor resources, children are encouraged to explore and learn.

The light-filled spacious centre also has a creek bed, water play, Indigenous totem poles, shady trees, wooden decking, and a range of age-specific ateliers.

Children get out and about on regular excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. We love going on nature walks, as well as attending Floriade and the Canberra Theatre once a year.

We are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays. We also organise regular visits from Duncan, a local Indigenous community member, who teaches the children about traditional songs, symbols, art and plants.

Our on-site cook prepares nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. To further explore food at the centre, our Educators host cooking classes for the children to get involved in to enhance their understanding of good nutrition.
