Take a Look Around

Welcome to our Centre
Welcome to Eden Academy Thurgoona, proudly owned by Guardian Childcare & Education!
Our childcare centre in Thurgoona, a small outer suburb of Albury, caters for children aged 6 weeks – 6 years, providing them with a warm, inviting ‘home away from home’ where they can learn and grow.
Our engaging learning programs support each child to learn through hands-on play. At our Thurgoona child care, we ensure children are always given opportunities to engage their natural curiosity. With daily activities and excursions including yoga and Bush Kinder, we promote active lifestyles and new experiences. Fresh and nutritious meals and snacks are all prepared on-site daily.
The modern, state-of-the-art spaces feature a seamless indoor/outdoor flow. Indoors, the children play and learn in light, bright rooms with calming, natural resources. They can move between different experiences and activities each day, following their natural curiosity and engaging their imagination.
Moving into the outdoor space, the children can ride their bikes or dig in the sandpit, with ample room for running and exploring.
Social skills are an important priority at our Thurgoona early learning centre and each of our learning spaces support this. Children play alongside their peers, learning how to communicate, share and develop friendships.
We also offer a comprehensive, government-approved Preschool program, designed to prepare each child for a smooth transition to primary school. Tailored routines help smooth transitions and build important emotional regulation skills. The emphasis on social development through interaction and play-based learning boosts each child’s confidence and relationship-building abilities.
Eligible children who turn 4 years old on or before 31 July 2024 will receive up to $2,110 in additional subsidies. This fee support is on top of any Child Care Subsidy eligible families may be receiving. If your child is 3 years old and not yet 4 years old on, or before 31 July in 2024 and is enrolled at our Centre, you will receive up to $500 in fee relief. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.
Academic development is woven into engaging activities, teaching letters, sounds, numbers, and shapes. Aligned with state and national standards, the curriculum also ensures connections with local schools.
Fine and gross motor skills are also nurtured, supporting your child’s physical and cognitive growth. Our approach caters to diverse learning styles, striking the right balance between play and structured learning.
At our Thurgoona daycare centre, we value the strong relationships we build with our community. We even provide healthy take home meals, available from our kitchen – perfect for busy families.
Conveniently located opposite Thurgoona Tennis Club and surrounded by green space, the centre is easy to access. Onsite parking adds to the accessibility and ease at drop off and pick up.

Rhythm of The Day
With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
-
Morning
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
-
Morning
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
-
Morning
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
-
Morning
As the children come together, planned experiences begin. This is where the Guardian programs and practices come to life. Examples of learning include numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, science, creative arts, curiosity and more.
-
Morning
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
-
Mid-morning
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
-
Afternoon
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
-
Afternoon
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
-
Afternoon
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
-
End of the day
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
-
End of the day
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.
