With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Guardian Childcare and Education Marsfield offers the warmth and comfort of a family home, in North Sydney. Our purpose-built outdoor space is accessible from every classroom and has plenty of room in which to run, ride and explore.
Our spacious day care and child care centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged six weeks to six years of age, supporting them to discover the world in a safe and secure way. The centre is filled with bright, stimulating materials that encourage children to explore and engage their curiosity to discover more about the exciting world around them.
At this child care centre in Marsfield, we take pride in promoting a positive early learning environment where children are supported by a passionate and experienced education team. Most of our families live locally, providing the Centre with a welcoming community feel.
In addition to the sense of community at our day care, our families come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures which provide a rich learning opportunity for all our children and families. We have educators who can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese and Hindi, which is a great support to many of our families whose first language is not English.
Children are supported through those important early years to explore and develop their social and emotional skills through their early learning journey by a dedicated team of university-qualified Teachers and Educators. They create play-based learning experiences in a nurturing environment that fosters creativity and imagination in a safe environment for young age groups.
Guardian Marsfield early learning centre is open from 7.30am to 6.00pm every weekday, so each family are provided with plenty of flexibility for the hours they work and the time they choose to drop off and pick up their child. During drop-off or pick-up times, we encourage you to stay for a little while and spend some time exploring the learning environment.
Our Early Childhood Educators and Teachers can show you the various play materials and education spaces throughout the Centre to help you discover our approach to learning as well as support you continue the learning with activities at home. We encourage involving the whole family in their child’s care and education to ensure they are happy as they learn and grow.
Our family communication app, Storypark, provides you with photos and updates on your child throughout the day, offering you the opportunity to stay informed about your child’s early learning and development. We also set up different learning outcomes for the children through Storypark, which supports them in achieving developmental milestones and understanding new ideas.
For children aged three and four, we have a preschool program led by university-qualified Teachers that can support your child in their preparation for the step up into primary school. Our preschool curriculum is based on leading child development research and demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible start to life for your child through quality child care services.
Our early childhood education program is led by specialist Educational Leaders who guide teaching and learning in a flexible and research-supported way. The leading curriculum uses play-based learning and supports discovery and gives children the best start to life, as well as being aligned with the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework.
Through our high-quality preschool program, children have the opportunity to learn some of the skills that are often only introduced in early primary school. We begin learning and exploring shapes, numbers and letters through fun, play-based activities.
We develop each child’s literacy and numeracy skills to help them feel confident and prepared during the challenging leap into primary school. Our high-quality program supports the needs and routines of each of our families, and we ensure each child’s cultural and family background is supported and encouraged.
We’re committed to children’s nutrition, and our on-site cook prepares each meal fresh and packed with all the nutrients that children need at their age. We encourage children to engage in food preparation and to ask questions about where their food comes from, why it’s good for them, and how they can eat it. We also encourage exploration of the cultural heritage behind different foods, helping promote diversity and inclusion from an early age.
As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families will be able to gain an understanding of their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display will provide the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share updates on your child’s progress. It will also be a chance for you to have direct input into your child’s learning!

Kindergarten/Preschool Program
Our specialist two-year kindergarten/preschool program is led by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Children explore and understand their world in an environment of safety and security. It’s where they develop the foundational literacy and numeracy skills to thrive.
Out and about
Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.
STEM
Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.
Cooking
Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Since the first time I met Robert, who is the center's principal we felt a really good energy.The center is very clean and all the team very polite, ready to look after the childs.My little one went to Guardian Marsfield for almost 3 years. After looking at a few daycares around the area we chose to send our 20 month old to Guardian. The previous Centre Manager Robert was great and the new Manager Wing is also fantastic (and was assistant manager previously). Over the past 2 years we’ve found that the staff have really loved our son and gotten to know us too, despite being a large centre. Being behind the rugby club the kids are able to go on little excursions to the different rugby fields which is a bonus safe playing space for them. We are sadly leaving the centre to attend one closer to home and school. If we lived closer to Guardian we would have stayed!Thank you Wing and all the staff at Guardian Marsfield.

The team at Guardian Marsfield have been incredibly kind and caring towards our little one. She was a covid baby so the initial separation and adjustment to school as a toddler was challenging however the educators were very patient and helped her with the transition. The facilities are modern and the educators strike a good balance between creative/developmental activities and free play. Special shout-out to Wing who goes above and beyond in her care for the kids.

I highly recommend Guardian Marsfield because of the great teachers and staff members, variety of curriculums and kids activities, well-planned daily routines, and especially in pre-schoolers room they have "fly to school" programmes which extremely helpful for those older kids going to big school.The teachers keep parents updated on daily basis, and the centre manager and all teaching/non-teaching staff promote an encourage and caring environment, so I always be able to leave my child without any concerns. 5-start childcare centre is well deserved.

Guardian Marsfield provided high quality care to my son. The reason we chose Guardian Marsfield are those kind staff and amazing outdoor space.Robert is the most considerate centre manager I’ve ever met. We enrolled during covid time and he helped to hold a spot for us until the peak wave ended. My son got sick before he officially started and Rob postponed the start date so we didn’t need to pay without attending. When we were on holidays, he also applied holiday discount for us.The educators in preschool room deliver day to day program in a professional way. They helped my son to settle in couple of weeks. We receive a daily report for the activities of the whole group, and a monthly learning report especially for my son. Room leader will also discuss with us about the yearly educational plan.Great thank you to all the preschool room educators: Cindy, my son’s favourite educator, who gave my son a big hug on the first day and being his first friend in this new environment, helping him to build up English skills as well as express himself more confidently. Angie, who explained instructions in our language to offer my son a better understanding. Vivienne, who always using warm words to encourage my son. Ana, who introduced lots of fun outdoor activities. Also, the communication with preschool room leader Paveen was excellent.Strongly recommended this centre!

My 2 daughters stayed at Marsfield for 8months, we only had to leave Guardian Marsfield because we moved to another area. Both girls were so warmly welcomed by Manager (Robert) and teachers and Friends from the day we went for a tour. Even when the girls went to stay for a couple of hours a week before first day, educator sent girls with their photos and brief report how my girls did it. This made very smooth transition for my girls.I was so impressed that whole atmosphere was full of energies and brightness.Teachers are just like mom and aunties. I can't just name one or two teachers, every single teacher and the chef are very caring and friendly.Even all kids are very gentle and nice to each other as how all teachers are.Kids were also very excited to go to Guardian with so many activities that Guardian arrangeI see kids can have options through the day what kind of learning activities they really want to engage.My kids yesterday asked me if we could visit Guardian sometime to say hello to teachers and their friends. My older daughter requested to invite teachers and friends on her birthday party hahahahaI can't say thank you enough what Guardian did for my girls.I will truly miss everyone.

Guardian is a place like home with specialist to help with our kids development.The environment it is just made for kids to enjoy, learn and grow up.My daughter was all the time sick and upset to stay in the previous center she used to go. When we found Guardian Marsfield we were doubt to rely our daughter to any childcare center, however Robert and his team proved that the kids can be treated with love and caring.My daughter never complains to go to the daycare and she actually ask to go. We visited many cc's before but when we came across Guardian Childcare at Marshfield, we just knew that this was it. We saw kids who looked happy and comfortable. And also saw whoever was not feeling settled being attended to with love and care.Now have moved on from the Nursery Rm to the Toddler Rm, this centre is like a second home to our son. All the educators are so gentle, knowledgeable, and we can feel that they really strive to understand each child.Through their creative and fun learning curricular, our son has shown incredible physical, verbal, emotional, and social development over the years.The manager, Robert, is very attentive to everything that's happening at the centre, prompt in responses to our enquiries, and hands-on with care of the children care.Wherever we go in the future (moving soon), this place will always be our benchmark for our son's CC.

Our child attended this centre for two years. He started in the nursery and progressed into the toddler room so we have experienced a number of the staff. Our experience was excellent. The staff were very warm and caring towards our whole family. Communication with Robert and all staff was excellent, whether in person or via email and phone. We felt that our son gained a lot from his time in the centre and would come home with new words, songs, skills and knowledge. The location is also great and affords the opportunity for excursions and exploring very safely. We recommend this centre strongly.

This day-care centre is spacious, especially the outdoor play area, I didn't see many day-care centres that have this much space. My son has been in this centre for over 5 years since he was 10months, he's going to kindy next month, time to say bye, feeling very sad. He's spent great 5 years here, growing up happily and safely from the babies room all the way to the toddlers room and the pre-school room. All the educators are friendly and caring, they have various programs everyday for kids development. The centre manager, Robert, is super super nice, professional, whenever you need help or have questions, he'll be there for you!

Sadly our time has come to an end (for the moment) at Acrewoods Eastwood after attending there for 8 years with 2 children.I can not speak more highly of the centre, the facilities, the loving staff or the incredible director. My 2 children have emotionally, socially and academically flourished during there attendance at Acrewoods Eastwood and I can only hope that one day we will have another reason to enrol and attend there again. Thankyou staff for playing a huge role in raising my kids.

Love this place! Such an amazing outdoor place area compared to most of the other day care centres in the area. The staff is so welcoming and warm, greeting you with a smile. They are such caring and loving people, they know each child’s individual needs. All of my three kids have really enjoyed Acrewoods Eastwood. All the educators from baby room to preschool room are fantastic and they have done wonderful jobs to look after my kids and teach them so many things and skills. They also have made lots of great friends there. Management staff are professional and helpful. Soon my youngest child will graduate from there and start her new adventure in a big school. They will miss going to Acrewoods next year. That is for sure.

This is a lovely centre! I was impressed with their preschool room and large outdoor play area. The Centre Manager there is really nice and actively involved with all the kids. I learnt that this centre is under new ownership and they are getting lots of new resources for the kids to play with.

I could not be happier with the centre and it's staff. My grandson has come along in leaps and bounds. He now loves daycare and is excited to go everyday. He eats so much more widely than before too. And he's nearly toilet trained. Our interstate relatives could not believe how much he had progressed in two months. Couldn't recommend more highly.
