Take a Look Around
Welcome to our Centre
Guardian Childcare & Education Marsfield (formerly Acre Woods) is an incredible early childcare and education Centre located close to Epping, North Epping, North Ryde and Macquarie Park in Northern Sydney.
Children get out and about on regular excursions, and the Centre enjoys a great connection with the surrounding community. As the Centre is within the grounds of Eastwood RSL and Rugby Club, they often walk to the rugby fields for picnics and ball games. These ties to the local community are so fundamental to our programs at Guardian Marsfield that we recently established an Intergenerational Partnership Program, which sees the children visit their local aged care centre to meet and bond with the elderly residents. Read more about these visits on our blog.
Guardian Marsfield runs a leading Preschool Program led by university-qualified Teachers, as well as a Leadership Program where the older children spend time with the younger age groups, learning about the importance of caring, nurturing, kindness and being a leader.
Our Educational Leader says: “As we have a lot of siblings in our Centre, we noticed how much the preschool children were enjoying spending time with the younger ones during family grouping. Related or not, we found many of the older children keen to engage and play with the younger children, and so decided to put some structure around their interactions so we could extend on this interest in each other.”
Eligible children who turn 4 years old on or before 31 July 2024 will receive up to $2,110 in additional subsidies. This fee support is on top of any Child Care Subsidy eligible families may be receiving. If your child is 3 years old and not yet 4 years old on, or before 31 July in 2024 and is enrolled at our Centre, you will receive up to $500 in fee relief. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.
Guardian Marsfield also boasts a range of exciting, resource-rich environments including herb gardens, vegetable patches and a spacious open-plan interior where exciting programs come to life. The literacy and numeracy programs in the Centre are created to respond to questions posed by the children to extend on their natural interests, and they also enjoy a weekly tea time experience.
With a community-minded team of Educators who have been with the Centre for a long time, we are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year. We also have at least one Mandarin-speaking Educator assigned to each age group.
Featuring an on-site cook, children are treated to five nutritious meals prepared fresh daily!
