"I enjoy providing a space that parents are happy and confident about sending their children each day."
Guardian Childcare & Education Marsfield (formerly Acre Woods) is an incredible early childcare and education Centre located close to Epping, North Epping, North Ryde and Macquarie Park in Northern Sydney.
Children get out and about on regular excursions, and the Centre enjoys a great connection with the surrounding community. As the Centre is within the grounds of Eastwood RSL and Rugby Club, they often walk to the rugby fields for picnics and ball games. These ties to the local community are so fundamental to our programs at Guardian Marsfield that we recently established an Intergenerational Partnership Program, which sees the children visit their local aged care centre to meet and bond with the elderly residents. Read more about these visits on our blog.
Guardian Marsfield runs a leading Preschool Program led by university-qualified Teachers, as well as a Leadership Program where the older children spend time with the younger age groups, learning about the importance of caring, nurturing, kindness and being a leader.
Educational Leader Bitu says: “As we have a lot of siblings in our Centre, we noticed how much the preschool children were enjoying spending time with the younger ones during family grouping. Related or not, we found many of the older children keen to engage and play with the younger children, and so decided to put some structure around their interactions so we could extend on this interest in each other.”
Guardian Marsfield also boasts a range of exciting, resource-rich environments including herb gardens, vegetable patches and a spacious open-plan interior where exciting programs come to life. The literacy and numeracy programs in the Centre are created to respond to questions posed by the children to extend on their natural interests, and they also enjoy a weekly tea time experience.
With a community-minded team of Educators who have been with the Centre for a long time, we are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year. We also have at least one Mandarin-speaking Educator assigned to each age group.
Whilst we wait for the arrival of our on-site cook, Kids Gourmet Food, an esteemed catering company, delivers fresh meals to the Centre daily.

At this child care centre in Eastwood, we take pride in promoting a positive early learning environment where children are supported by a passionate and experienced education team. Most of our families live locally, providing the centre with a welcoming community feel.
In addition to the sense of community at our day care, our families come from a wide variety of backgrounds and cultures which provide a rich learning opportunity for all our children and families. We have educators who can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese and Hindi, which is a great support to many of our families whose first language is not English.
Our wonderful team of educators respect and care for each individual child, and we strive to support every family with their individual needs. The preschool and child care centre provides a rich school readiness program that helps children prepare for kindergarten and school with the skills required to continue an enriching lifelong passion for learning.

“It’s not easy to leave your child in the care of someone else, however, from day one I can comfortably say that your staff have always provided the best care for both my children. I always see all the great things they do with the children but most importantly they are always there to comfort the children and take such great care of them.”
– Ivana Dusenjko, Mickleham Road, Vic
"The transition into childcare was made easy by the supportive and compassionate staff. Daily communication (both email and verbal) kept me up to date with my daughter's progress socially, emotionally and intellectually. The 'child centred' approach is amazing; for my child to make connections to her own world and experiences. She loves going.”
– Sarah Collingwood, Jacaranda – Sunnybank, Qld
"“The team are passionate about being early childhood Educators. The environment is filled with many indoor and outdoor activities allowing a child-led development by following their natural interests (inspired by Reggio Emilia). A philosophy we follow in our home. My four-year-old daughter’s language and social skills have improved greatly.””
– Angela K, Lane Cove, NSW
