We couldn’t be happier with this daycare centre! The staff consistently go above and beyond to make sure both of my girls are happy, safe, and excited to come each day. It’s so reassuring knowing they’re genuinely cared for and supported.

A special mention to the chef, who does an incredible job preparing fresh, nutritious meals every day. The variety on the menu is fantastic, and it’s wonderful knowing the children are enjoying healthy, home-style food.

So happy i chose to enroll my boy in this centre. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming, to make a scary trasition easier. He is the prekindy room and just has the most amazing day and learns many new skills during his stay. His educators just go above and beyond. 10/10 centre and highly recommend. Guardian made it so easy to leave my kids in their care, neither of my kids were happy about leaving me and going to day care but the beautiful staff were so supportive and accommodating, they bent over backwards to make the experience as smooth as possible and I’m forever grateful. Highly recommend Guardian Murwillumbah.
My boy started at 3 months old and I’ve always felt he is much loved and cared for. I love the activities they do for his learning development and just adore what little crafts he brings home on occasions like Christmas or Mothers Day to fill my heart up. Our son attends in Nursery 1 at this centre, the range of food offered is more nutritious than I eat at home myself, while still keeping kids engaged. They offer so many cute little activities that are helpful for development of the brain, physical movement and social skills too. After one day of daycare with Guardian, and educators like Miss Shae and Miss Lillian, and the lady who floats between rooms, our boy came home with a completely different crawl style - he had been watching the other kids and learned so much in just a few hours! Because of Guardian and it's educators our child is such a social little butterfly, loves trying new things and loves playing with others. I highly recommend Guardian as your first choice for childcare in Murwillumbah!

We are so happy with the quality of care Guardian Murwillumbah provide. Our daughter is currently in Nursery 1 and has made such beautiful connections with the educators and other little ones. The educators and director made the transition so smooth, and they were so understanding during every step. The meals provided are also insanely nutritious, my daughter loves her food at daycare and I wish I had the lunches she gets every day she attends daycare. The communication is exceptional, we almost always get a daily photo when our daughter is at daycare and it’s nice to be kept in the loop about things she’s doing whilst in their care. I genuinely couldn’t recommend another daycare more.

I'm a first time parent of a 8 month old and I'm so greatful to Guardians Nursery 1 staff for providing fantastic support and information to help cultivate my child growth and development.

My little one is always so happy to go to daycare and loves the staff, maybe too much, while he loves his parents the feeling or rejection when he gets to daycare, looks at the staff and reaches too them. While very cute I can't help but feel thrown to the gutter by my own child so I say very reluctantly, keep up the amazing work you all do

My daughter lobes the centre. It has a huge play area outside and so many different activities and toys inside. The food is a high standard of health and freshness. The careas are amazing patient people that know all the children so well.

For a small working family that doesn’t have any extended relatives in the local area, Petit Murwillumbah has been a real life raft for us.

The Educators and additional support staff are fantastic, caring and endlessly communicative. As a first time mum, of a child with dietary requirements, I couldn’t feel like he was in a safer or more compassionate environment.

It’s safe to say that my boy loves the centre as much as I do. He wakes up singing about going to see his friends (room Educators), what more could a mum want?

I couldn’t rate Petit high enough. We had our child in another daycare which we removed him from for various reasons and were nervous with the transition to a new centre for our son. It was the best decision we could have made. Being in a position to be able to compare between centres, Petit has more toys and equipment to engage the children. The staff are professional, caring and provide engaging activities for the children daily. We love the educators in our sons room and know he’s in wonderful care.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

  • All visitors must sign in and present photo ID before entry
  • All tradespeople must provide a WWCC & complete Guardian-specific induction.

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:


  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

Preschool Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School preschool program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.
