Rhythm of The Day
With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.
-
Morning
Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There’s a chance to share what’s important for the day and any news from home.
-
Morning
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children or grab it on the go.
-
Morning
An opportunity to play and discover with open-plan play in family groups and multi-age groupings.
-
Morning
Planned experiences. This is where the Guardian difference comes to life. Alongside our Educators your child’s exploration leads to learnings in numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, creative arts and much more.
-
Morning tea
An opportunity for children to come together for a healthy snack, often they help prepare their food alongside our carers and chef.
-
Mid-morning
Individually tailored to your child’s needs and curiosity the planned experiences continue, this includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
-
Lunch
Another nutritious meal expertly prepared by our chef. Families are invited to join the children for meals and excursions if they wish.
-
Afternoon
If your child wants to, or needs to sleep, it’s time to rest and recharge. For children who don’t need to rest the planned experiences continue, in most cases outdoors.
-
Afternoon tea
Another chance for the children to come together and re-fuel in small groups. There is also an opportunity to rest or play together and reflect on the day.
-
Pick-up
As you arrive to pick up your child, there’s a chance to speak with our Educators and share news about the day. Our Storypark App also allows you to stay in touch 24/7 wherever you are.
-
End of day
Your child is encouraged to grab a light snack as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary, throughout the day if we notice your child looking tired food will be provided.
Thank you Yvonne, Em, Angela and the team for welcoming us every morning with a warm cuddle and a big smile. The care and love of this Wonderful professionals was above and beyond. They truly see your child and make sure to meet his needs.I recommend Guardian Brighton to every parent. It is a warm second home to go to
I cannot rate Yvonne, Krysta and their team at Guardian Brighton highly enough. The girls are extremely caring and Welcoming to both children and parents. They always find that special something to connect with our daughter when I drop her off in the morning making her feel very unique. The team are nurturing and genuinely care about our daughters development and education. It is clear that the staff love their jobs and the children in their care. The menu is varied and allows our daughter to try things she would never eat at home. Our daughter is excited to attend each day and talks about Hansi, Dong and Amy her "teachers" with great affection

I had the pleasure of having my little one at Guardian Brighton after our local childcare closed unexpectedly. Yvonne and her team made sure to make him feel welcome right away and he was happy and well settled within days. The lovely staff always made sure to keep us up to date on our little one and were always super accommodating. We had to move him out due to changes to our living situation but had it been possible we would have stayed there until our son was prep-school age. Big shout out to Dong who was a clear favourite for our little one.
Hi Yvonne + Brighton Guardian teamI just wanted to say a big thank you and farewell. I truly believe that Guardian Brighton, and your amazing curriculum and culture has been pivotal into shaping Finneas into the fine young boy he is.I remember him coming home from Brighton one day, Finn was barely able to speak yet, and out of nowhere he just suddenly counted to ten. Me and my wife just stared at each other and said , "Oh my god, how and where did he learn to count so soon".He now loves and treats younger kids/babies with the greatest kindness, he is fun sociable and enthusiastic, he loves learning, and most importantly he is caring and compassionate to others, which is the most important human trait of all.We will never forget how you helped raise our son while we were both working full time. Words cannot express how grateful we are for your passion for childhood education.Again, thank you. 😭
I have one child (soon to be two) that attend guardian brighton and I am also part of the wonderful team. With no family in Victoria the beautiful team have become an extension of my family and have been my "village" while raising my babies. Yvonne the centre manger leads the team and the centre with extensive knowledge in the early childhood industry but also with the life experience of being a mum herself. Care, compassion and being the voice for these little people is a big part of why I choose to work in and have my children attend this centre. I wouldn't want to work or have my babies attend anywhere else.Pic; Lianne the kinder teacher holding my baby while I drop off the big kid to the kinder room..
I have worked at Guardian Brighton since January 2021 as a casual member of staff twice a week, and I absolutely love the centre.I am a qualified teacher with 8 years experience, and have worked in many different childhood settings.May I first commend the Guardian team for the professionalism and support they have provided both families, and staff during these difficult times. It has been a tough and stressful time for everyone, however, the staff are always friendly and professional and ultimately have everyone's safety and wellbeing as the main priority. Temperature checks are required to be taken at the door when parents enter, and the rooms are regularly deep cleaned and sanitised daily.Parents and families are updated weekly, via our Newsletter for upcoming events within the centre. StoryPark is also used daily to inform parents and staff with any key messages and updates, as well as providing parents with photos and detailed descriptions of the days activities. From our most recent national parent survery, Guardian Brighton was rated 5th across the whole country. From the national educator survey, Guardian Brighton was rated first nationwide. The love and care that is provided for all children in the centre is evident in how happy the children are here.I cannot recommend the centre, the management and staff highly enough.

The staff at Guardian Childcare & Education Brighton are truely an outstanding and dedicated team of educators.I can’t recommend this centre highly enough. Our immediate family live overseas so it was very important to us to find a daycare that felt like home for our son. I can safely say the educators at Guardian have become an extension of our family in the last year. They always respond to any extra requests or needs that we have, particularly in regards to our son’s food allergies. Our son genuinely loves attending daycare at this centre. He feels supported and cared for, which makes it so much easier for both of us when I leave for work after drop off.
I can't speak highly enough of the team here. They show nothing but warmth and care to my two boys and all the kids here. My eldest struggles with goodbyes and they have helped all of us through the transition and he is now very confident and happy with his goodbyes. From the food to the stories to the outdoor play, Guardian Brighton is great.
The staff at Guardian Childcare & Education Brighton are absolutely amazing. Our daughters love attending the center as they feel safe, supported and loved. We couldn't have asked for a better setting for our children to be in. The educators and staff have become part of our family too. I have no worries leaving my little one in the nursery as I know and trust she is getting the care and love from everyone there as if she were being looked after by a family member.

Yvonne, Krysta and the team have been nothing but amazing to our family. Our 3 children jump out of our arms and run to the educators, waving us goodbye in the morning. They are so support, friendly and genuinely care about all the children at the centre. We couldn't recommend them highly enough :)
We have had such a great experience sending our two kids to Guardian for the past few years. Our son is thriving in the Kinder program with Yayoi this year and has come so far socially and developmentally since starting at the Centre in 2018. Our little Koala has also settled in since starting in January under the care and support of Kris who has been fantastic. Thanks to Yvonne and the team for the regular communication about the day to day happenings and providing a nurturing environment for our little ones :)

As a first time mum, it was always going to be slightly daunting when my son started day care. Yvonne and her team have done a fantastic job of making the transition as seamless as possible. The centre feels really warm and welcoming and you can tell that the educators really care about the individual needs of the children. Kris in particular has done an amazing job of ensuring my son feels comfortable and happy. They provide me with regular updates and I love seeing the daily photos of what he has been doing. We are really happy with our decision and can’t recommend them enough.
We've been attending Guardian Brighton for 4 years and we just love it here. The staff are all wonderful And there is such a kind, supportive culture amongst the team. I feel 100% happy and confident about the educators and the centre. So happy with Yayoi and the 4yo kinder program as well. Keep up the great work!
Kris is the best nursery ambassador she really helped my little girl (and I) to settle in at Fox Kids Brighton. Kris, Yvonne, Leeann, Krista, the chef , etc : everyone has been responsive and really CARED about us. I have been recommended this centre by a friend of mine and I am really happy about that. It is located close to my place, so that is a plus . I feel confident my baby girl is there and she learns so much. Thank you.

We absolutely love Fox Kids. Yvonne and her team of educators do a fantastic job. It is clear our son loves attending because as soon as we drop him off he's comfortable, happy and too busy to even notice that we are leaving. The centre is always clean and they plan lots of great educational, physical and social activities for the kids. It's clear that my son is learning new things each week and they give me really good feedback on how he's going along the way.And the food is seriously amazing. Lots of fruit, veggies and really tasty wholesome curries, stir fries, soups and pasta dishes. They have such a great in-house chef who makes everything from scratch. My son is quite picky with food so I though he wouldn't be great at eating at childcare. But he eats everything that's served up...every day!I can't recommend Fox Kids enough. It's such a big thing having other people look after the most precious person in your life. But I completely trust that he's safe and cared for by the Fox Kids team.
My school photography business Move Pictures was booked to do the annual photography for Fox Kids Brighton in 2017. The centre is excellent, one of the best I have ever worked with. From management through to the educators, they are professional, friendly, courteous and helpful. It made an enormously positive impact on how photo week went.

We enrolled our son at Fox Kids when he was 7 months old. and now 6 months on, I cannot recommend this Centre enough to other parents. The highly experienced staff put our mind at ease from Day 1, and made us feel so welcome. Our son loves going in each day and we look forward to chatting to the staff about his development updates and what exciting activities the kids have done that day. Yvonne and her staff take pride in doing their jobs and I recommend parents to pop by for a tour of the Centre and meet the friendly staff.
Fox Kids Early Learning Centre is, hands down, the most superior childcare centre and kindergarten in the area. Lucy and her friendly team of educators are passionate about what they do.
Absolutely love fox kids daycare and the staff its extreamly welcoming and organised, and my daughter is so excited to go each week. Thanks especially to Lucy and Bec who do such a great job.

It was a big challenge finding the right childcare for my little Emily. After visiting many centres in Brighton I just felt right at home at Fox Kids. I was welcomed from the time I did my first tour and Emily talks about going every morning.I just wanted to take a minute to share how special the educators are, getting to know Emily and myself in a way that is so genuine and caring. Everyone has the children's best interests at heart and it will be sad when we have to say goodbye when Emily goes off to school. They have just a huge difference in the first few years of Emily's life. Thank you.
We have been Fox parents for four years now. It is not until recently that I would have recommended Fox to other parents. Lucy Holmes, Bec and the team have transformed Fox Kids into a warm, nurturing learning environment for our girls. This change in management one year ago has ridded Fox of any negativities of the past. If you're considering Fox or unsure, call Lucy, take a tour and you'll see it for what it has become. Well done Lucy and team.
