Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra East

Every day is an opportunity for discovery and growth at Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra East, which is rated exceeding in the National Quality Standard. With a range of exciting, resource-rich environments – including a soon-to-be opened renovated yard – children are encouraged to explore and learn. The spacious and light filled centre features vegetable gardens, a worm farm, a newly refurbished nursery and range of age-specific ateliers where our exciting programs come to life.

Our on-site chef, Rebecca, prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. Rebecca has a Certificate III in Childcare, allowing her to bond with the children both in the kitchen and on the floor. Children can enjoy their meals either indoors or outside under the trees whilst socialising.

Children get out and about on regular excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. We visit the local nursing home, St Brigid’s Green, once a month, which the children adore.

Our Educators

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.

Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Guardian Childcare & Education Maroubra East is an outdoor wonderland! We offer a very large, natural space for the children to run, ride bikes, complete obstacle courses, and engage in arts and crafts. They love playing on the large pebbles and tree trunks, and getting messy in the dirt and wet sand. Our beautiful trees and sail also provide shade for more relaxing experiences, like quietly exploring a book or eating a meal outdoors. Tending to the vegetable garden is also a popular pastime, and children are welcome to pick herbs and vegetables to add to our meals.

Our centre was the winner of the ‘Sustainable Schools Award’ in 2014 – a competition where early education centres and schools in the Randwick, Waverley and Woollahra Council areas are rewarded for their outstanding sustainability achievements. The children love playing with recyclables such as empty cardboard boxes, milk bottles and tins, and have been known to create large and elaborate robots to show off to family and friends!

Our team of educators are as professional as they are passionate. We enjoy creating strong bonds with families, who trust that their child is in safe and capable hands. Communication is paramount, and we make sure you are informed about your child’s learning, progress, interests and wellbeing every step of the way.

Our menu meets the Australian dietary requirements for young children, and families are encouraged to share their favourite home recipes with us. Meal times also serve as a learning opportunity, where we discuss the ingredients, where the food comes from, and the importance of healthy eating.
