Guardian Childcare & Education Clayfield

Guardian Childcare & Education Clayfield is a convenient choice for families living in Kalinga, Nundah and Wooloowin who are looking for childcare close to home, or on their way to work in Brisbane CBD. The Centre boasts a range of engaging environments that inspire curiosity, including native gardens, a water pump, a creek bed, natural play structures and a range of age-specific play areas.

These spaces encourage the children to explore and learn, with the added benefit of a Kindergarten Program led by quality teachers who are there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to school.

Children at Guardian Clayfield also have the opportunity to get out and about on excursions, so we have a great connection with the surrounding community. We visit local ‘attractions’ such as the nearby train station and the local fruit market.

We are proud to have a culturally diverse team and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays. As part of our community focus, we host family breakfast in the Centre every morning from 6:30am, thanks to our on-site cooks, Natasha and Tianne.

At Guardian Clayfield, the children enjoy delicious and nutritious meals, prepared on-site with fresh seasonal ingredients, every day. With a theatre-style kitchen and dining piazza, meals are always social and invite conversation around food and nutrition, which encourages the children to develop healthy eating habits for life.

On our blog, Natasha offers her insights into why exploring food from a young age is so important: “The relationship between nutrition, health and learning is undeniably strong. As our children experience periods of rapid growth, good nutrition gives them the energy to do this. Part of good nutrition is being exposed to different textures and also assisting with oral health and motor skills, which are important for speech development.”

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

Designed to enhance the learning experience for babies and children, the learning spaces include;

  • Huge outdoor play areas for all age groups, featuring natural gardens, sand-pits, scooter path and a natural creek bed for water play and discovery.
  • Commercial ‘theatre-style’ kitchen and café-style dining designed to enhance interactions with food and the centre cook, as well as giving children the opportunity to socialise over meals.
  • Art and science and sensory play with mirrored balls, shakers and instruments
  • Reading nook for quiet play and relaxation

It is within these rich environments that our team of passionate and highly qualified educators implement the Guardian curriculum – a Reggio Emilia inspired play-based, child-led early learning philosophy which encompasses literacy, numeracy, science, art, music, and language, underpinned by a focus on social and emotional development.

On-site parking for pick-up and drop-off, accessible from Sandgate Road.
