Rhythm of the Day
With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.
Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.
As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.
There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.
Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.
There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.
For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.
Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.
As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.
Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Guardian Childcare and Education Taringa, a daycare conveniently located in south-west Brisbane near Indooroopilly, offers the warmth and comfort of a family home. Our purpose-built outdoor space, accessible from every classroom, provides ample room for children to run, ride, and explore. Our spacious daycare centre welcomes children from six weeks to six years, offering a nurturing and stimulating environment for safe exploration of the world.
Filled with bright, engaging materials, the centre encourages curiosity and discovery. Our dedicated team of university-qualified Teachers and Educators supports children in developing their social and emotional skills through enriching early learning experiences in a creative and safe environment. Guardian Taringa is open from 7.00am to 6.00pm every weekday, providing families with plenty of flexibility for the hours they work and the time they choose to drop off and pick up their child. During drop-off or pick-up times, we encourage you to stay for a little while and spend some time exploring the learning environment.
Our Toowong Childcare Centre and St Lucia Childcare offer a comprehensive approach to early education. Our Educators and Teachers are ready to introduce you to our various play materials and educational spaces, helping you understand our unique learning methods and supporting at-home activities. We believe in involving the entire family in a child’s care and education to ensure they are joyful as they learn and grow.
Stay connected with your child’s early learning journey through our family communication app, Storypark. You’ll receive photos and updates throughout the day, keeping you informed about their development. Through Storypark, we establish different learning outcomes that aid children in reaching developmental milestones and grasping new concepts.
For children aged three and four, our kindergarten program, led by university-qualified Teachers, helps prepare them for the transition to primary school. Our curriculum is rooted in leading child development research, showcasing our commitment to providing the best start in life for your child through quality childcare services at our Toowong Childcare Centre and St Lucia Childcare.
Our early childhood education program is led by specialist Educational Leaders who guide teaching and learning in a flexible and research-supported way. The leading curriculum supports discovery and gives children the best start to life, as well as being aligned with the National Quality Standard.
Through our high-quality kindergarten program, children have the opportunity to learn some of the skills that are often only introduced in early primary school. We begin learning and exploring shapes, numbers and letters through fun, play-based activities.
We develop each child’s literacy and numeracy skills to help them feel confident and prepared during the challenging leap into primary school. Our high-quality program supports the needs and routines of each of our families, and we ensure each child’s cultural and family background is supported and encouraged.
We’re committed to children’s nutrition, and our on-site cook prepares each meal fresh, packed with all the nutrients children need. Kindergarten Program
Our specialist two-year kindergarten/preschool program is led by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Children explore and understand their world in an environment of safety and security. It’s where they develop the foundational literacy and numeracy skills to thrive.
Out and about
Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.
STEM
Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.
Cooking

I can't say enough good things about Guardian Taringa! Ashton, Lynn, and Gabby and all the staff are not only incredibly dedicated and empathetic but also made it so easy for us to leave our 4-month-old in their care. They go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment where every child feels loved and safe. My child adores them, and I have complete peace of mind knowing she is in such capable hands. Highly recommend this daycare to any parent!

What a great centre!The staff are welcoming and professional. The place is squeaky clean and has great security. Most important, my baby loves being at daycare. This assures me they are doing a wonderful job. I was anxious about leaving my 4 month old baby, but I know that he is safe and loved. I will recommend this centre to everyone.

I want to thank Tina, Swan space specially Bandana and her team. They were so cautious, responsible, and sympathetic. My son started his first experience of childcare when he was 12 months old in Guardian Childcare (Taringa). All the team helped us for this journey. My son was in this center for about 4 months and unfortunately we had to change his childcare due to moving. We missed Bandana and everyone in this center, my son absolutely loved them and was so happy there because of atmosphere and caring all the kids fair and behaved same. In the nursery room educators are always happy, kind, playing with kids, and planning for kid’s development.I would 100% recommend this center for sure. You can be sure that your kids are safe and happy there.

Would not hesitate in recommending Guardian Taringa! My son has been here for 2-3 months and the staff have gone above and beyond to build strong relationships with both my son and myself as a parent. Family communication is fantastic and the activities are amazing. The Staff are more than competent and I am forever thankful that they love on my boy so well. His confidence has increased significantly!

Our son has only just started at Guardian Taringa, but even after only two weeks I can already confidently recommend this wonderful centre! The facilities are incredible - especially the beautiful outdoor area! -, but most importantly the staff are super friendly and competent! The amount of personal care and attention for both the child's and parents' needs is amazing. Knowing that my son is looked after by such warm, caring people in a nurturing environment makes it so much easier to drop him off for the day! :) Thank you!!

I have no hesitation in recommending Guardian Childcare & Education Taringa. The staff are incredibly friendly, qualified and caring. My son has been attending since he was 8 months old and has developed lovely relationships with the educators and other children. The centre is conveniently located, there are large, spacious outdoor play areas for the children with gardens, sand pit and play equipment and the food prepared for the children is of an excellent, varied quality. We receive daily updates on what the children are up to and the activities are imaginative, educational and most importantly fun. A wonderful centre

The facilities are outstanding and the educators are so caring. Our little girl has been going since 10 months old and is so happy to go every day. She loves all the amazing activities and experiences that are organised for the children and the open ended play equipment means she is never bored. The wrap around play outdoor play garden means she can have picnics and play with nature all the time. The food the chef prepares is outstanding and it is nice that she interacts with the children each day. Our little one even got to make a special treat together with the chef on her birthday complete with a chef hat and all. The bond between the children and the educators is so special and it makes it a little easier going to work knowing she is happy and in such good hands.
