This is the best childcare I have ever visited. I’m very happy to leave my little one here with the wonderful and caring educators. The management team always puts children’s safety on the top and I don’t have any concerns about my child’s safety here. There are so many special learning experiences happening here and I’m looking forward to seeing my child having lots of fun!

My husband and I are extremely thrilled to have our daughter at this childcare. Our daughter has been there since she started at 8 months old and now is 3.5 years old. All of the staff especially those who have been hands on with her have been absolutely amazing and extremely considerate . They have not only been helpful with aspects inside of childcare but outside. Mei , Nirmala and Lizzie have been extremely supportive managers and you run the childcare so well. An amazing team. You have accomodated our needs in every way possible and hubby and I are forever grateful. Our next is joining soon so keep them fantastic professionals and team spirits 🩷

5 stars, only because I can't give 10!! Extremely happy with Guardian Bentleigh, as a Childcare Centre providing a long daycare service, as well as with their Kindergarten Program. Management has gone from strength to strength and I can't speak highly enough about the current team. The facilities provided are second to none, the standard of care provided to my children has been faultless, communication is great and every staff member remains professional and a pleasure to deal with. My eldest daughter was at this Centre for 5 years and after completing two years of Kinder, has recently transitioned to school. Her time at Guardian allowed her to develop all the necessary skills, qualities and confidence to take with her into starting Prep. I commend their School-Readiness program followed, which focused on every aspect of her development, that she is now able to excel. I couldn't be more grateful to the Kinder team for everything they have taught her and allowed her to flourish. My youngest daughter started at this Centre in the Nursery and is currently in 3yo Kinder. With the Programs, support and quality of teaching on offer I can see she is currently thriving and will be equipped to take on any future challenges which come her way.

My daughter was at this centre since the nursery room and has just left to start school. Every educator that we have dealt with here have been so wonderful and have had a genuine care for my kids. We had some difficult behaviour diagnoses in the last year and the whole team were so supportive and collaborative with the management of this issue. It was a sad day for us to leave and our daughter still asks to visit. Thanks to Mei, Nirmala, Evans and Tavisha for the last year, and all the educators before that.

Guardian on Curtin St has been such a blessing for our family. The educators are kind, engaged and truly care about the children. You can feel it the moment you walk in. Our little boy thrives there; he feels safe, happy and excited to go every day. As parents, we feel completely supported and reassured knowing he’s surrounded by people who treat him like part of their own family. Guardian really is his second home, and we are so grateful for the team. Our son has truly flourished at this centre. He started in the nursery and is now thriving in the toddler room. Jayama and Tanya have created such a nurturing and engaging environment, and our boy absolutely loves them. Mei has been wonderful with coordination and always provides timely, thoughtful feedback. I couldn't be happier with this childcare. My son has been attending since he was just one year old, and he's now over three. The educators here are fantastic. They're not only incredibly experienced but also so kind and caring. They are really supportive and have helped our family so much over the past couple of years. This centre has a very low staff turnover under the leadership of Mei, the manager. She's done an amazing job, and it really shows in the atmosphere and the quality of care. We're so grateful for everything they've done. I'd highly recommend this centre to any family looking for a nurturing and supportive environment for their little one.

My son has been going to this centre since he was 9 months old and is now nearly 2, he absolutely loves all his educators and I love the constant updates/photos l get daily of him on storypark, the consistency with staff and the love they give him. He is always so happy when l drop him off and pick him up. I highly recommend this centre.

Iam very happy to find this childcare for my boy! Teachers here are very competent as well as professional! They are very patient to my son as he is a really naughty boy. Each teacher treats him really really good so now he is very happy to go there! The environment both inside and outside are bright and hygiene, children have a very big wide yard to play. And the principal is a very nice lady, eveyday when I drop off and pick up my son, she is sitting there and give me a big smile, I do feel warm and very sure she can take care of my kid. My son has been here for a year, from 2 to 3, now he is upstairs, I am very very satisfied that my son very smoothly transfer from toddler to kinder room, before the time I was very worried because of the new room and new teacher for him, but every teacher in there being very helpful and patient to transfer children to elder room, they communicate with me everyday to update my son’s daily things, so I write down this review to say thank you to all the teachers help!

I have had the pleasure of entrusting both of my daughters to Guardian Early Learning in Bentleigh East, and I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful experience we’ve had. My 7-year-old daughter has been in care here for five years, and now my 2-year-old is also thriving in the nurturing environment the centre provides. The educators at Guardian are truly passionate about what they do, and it shows in the genuine care they provide for the children. My girls absolutely love going there, and I feel a sense of comfort knowing they are in such capable and compassionate hands. Many of the educators have been part of the team for over 5 to 10 years, which speaks volumes about the quality of care and the strong bonds they've built with the children and families. Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • Personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

Controlling Access to our Centres

  • Multiple levels of security in all centres
  • All visitors must sign in and present photo ID before entry
  • All tradespeople must provide a WWCC & complete Guardian-specific induction.

Daily Fee Information

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre's long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child's learning and progress:


  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child's progress.

Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder
Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in
additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when
you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
