Leopold Guardian has become so much more than a childcare centre to our family, it truly feels like part of our village, and that is because of the incredible people who work there.

Ady consistently goes above and beyond. She is always organised, communicates exceptionally well, and somehow always has exactly the information I need before I even ask. As a mum herself, she understands how important trust and reassurance are. Every time I leave my daughter, I walk away feeling completely at peace, knowing she is in such caring hands.

The way the children absolutely adore Sarah tells you everything you need to know about her. As soon as my daughter sees her, her face lights up. Sarah has the warmest, most nurturing presence and makes every child feel safe, loved, and valued. She is thoughtful, organised, and always goes the extra mile with the little things that make such a big difference. Those extra touches are what make Leopold Guardian such a special place.

Then there is Rosie - the sunshine of Leopold Guardian. She is the heart of the centre and the person who holds everything together. In the five years I have known her, I have never seen her without a smile or a positive attitude. Nothing is ever too hard, and she brings warmth, kindness, and genuine care to everyone she meets. Her positivity is infectious, and she makes families feel like they truly belong.

I also want to recognise the entire nursery team. Every single educator goes above and beyond, and their passion for what they do shines through every day. Walking through the doors each morning is such a beautiful experience because they are genuinely excited to see both my daughter and me. They greet us with huge smiles, enthusiasm, and kindness, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrive. Seeing how excited they are to spend the day with my daughter gives me so much confidence that she is loved, valued, and truly cared for. As a parent, there is no greater feeling than leaving your child somewhere they are so happy to be.

Together, these incredible women and the entire Leopold Guardian team have created an environment where children thrive and families feel genuinely supported. They have become such an important part of our village, and I feel incredibly grateful that my family has them. The love, dedication, professionalism, and genuine care they show every single day are what make Leopold Guardian such an exceptional place. We are so lucky to be part of this wonderful community.

Guardian Leopold is an incredible inclusive center where all educators and management go above and beyond to help the children thrive and learn. My 4-year-old son who has been diagnosed with level 3 (non-verbal) autism has learned so much from the amazing educators and loves coming to daycare each day. They have been really wonderful at supporting my 2.5 year old who struggled to transition in and have helped him settle in so well, they he now LOVES to come to daycare.

My daughter has been attending for now over a year, and from the very beginning she loved it! now as a near 2 year old she is so excited to attend and always speaks of the educators at home!

As most centres it’s been tough the past year with Illness and staff change over but no matter what this centre has always put their families first!
We can’t recommend this centre anymore!
We even travel 30-40 minutes daily to attend!

Leopold Early Learning Centre has given me the opportunity to not only experience the centre as a parent but also as an employee.
As a parent I cannot thank the girls (and boy) for welcoming my child in with open arms, supporting us with every routines set at home and encouraging toilet training. There is no job too big for them, they take it in their stride and make you as a parent feel at ease leaving your child in their care.
As an employee, I feel incredibly supported by not only my fellow colleagues but management as been a great support with everything and anything that may be going on in life. Everyone is treated equal and always with a professional attitude.
An added bonus is a daily report and photos are uploaded for your child, giving an insight into each and every day with great detail.
I highly recommend Leopold ELC for each and every family.

Such an amazing centre!! Would rate them 100/100 if I could! We had our child attending another centre which was so horrible they were left scared. It didn’t take them long at all to settle into Leopold! The staff are so amazing with the kids and make them feel safe and loved! They are really great at communicated with the parents all throughout the day via the app. I don’t stress when I drop my kids off there and they don’t want to leave when it’s pick up time!

Highly recommend Leopold Early Learning Centre to anyone looking for care. We have had a wonderful experience with our son. The Educators supported my sons developing communication by teaching him sign language. It blew my mind how quickly he learnt to sign and was able to communicate his needs to us. This helped him build friendships, confidence and made drop offs more smooth. The staff pay close attention and support us in making the seem less transition between home and care, allowing us to go to work knowing he is happy and well cared for.

The second I entered the centre with my 2 boys I knew it was where I wanted to enrol them.
All the kids in the centre were happily playing. On our tour, a little boy started to get sad and within seconds he was being comforted by a staff member. Knowing the kids needs are met so promptly was so reassuring to actually see for myself. We’ve had nothing short of an amazing experience at Leopold Early Learning Centre. The staff in nursery 1 and junior kindy where my boys are have been incredible beyond words. My daughter attends care at Leopold Early Learning Centre. She started her life in a fabulous family day care home but it came the time to transition her into a busier World. She was ready. We looked and did orientations with a few centers and I knew the minute I walked through the door that this was the place for my little girl. Clean new facility, well presented professional staff, a food pantry for parents in need or who haven't had a chance to go to the shops, a recycling station for arts and crafts, a hand me down clothes swap. I loved everything that they hoped to achieve as a facility and they have ticked so many boxes far beyond my expectations. They have handled the COVID-19 pandemic incredibly. The children's welfare is their first and foremost and they are so generous when it comes to assisting us a family. My daughter didn't want to go anywhere but here!

As any new parent would attest, it’s a scary deal leaving your most precious commodity with unfamiliar people in an unfamiliar place. I can’t say how reassured and comfortable the team at Leopold Early Learning have made me and my child feel about the process. My little one is loving her days there with the caring educators. Started my 2 boys at Leopold Early Learning a few months ago and they are thriving there. My youngest has really come out of his shell from being a shy boy who was very clingy to now being excited to go to daycare and wanting to do every day. When I pick them up they are constantly singing songs or speaking with new words they have learnt and are excited to tell me all about their day. Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

  • All visitors must sign in and present photo ID before entry
  • All tradespeople must provide a WWCC & complete Guardian-specific induction.

Daily Fee Information

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre's long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:


  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder
Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in
additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when
you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.
