Learn More About Our Centre

At Guardian Childcare & Education Hornsby we pride ourselves in building a community of learners as children, families and Educators connect together to support children’s learning and development. We are passionate in welcoming a variety of cultures and backgrounds to our centre.

Our diverse range of qualified Educators respect and care for each individual child as we help them develop into capable and confident members of the wider community. Many of our Educators are fluent in a second language with these including Cantonese, Hindi, Mandarin and Persian providing us with the opportunity to support the families within our wider community.

Guardian Hornsby offers a comprehensive educational program based on all areas of development including literacy and numeracy. Our practices and programs help prepare your child for formal schooling and beyond. The big issues facing future generations will require them to be innovative and adaptable – to think creatively and critically, and to find solutions which include the multiple perspectives of social, environmental, political, economic and cultural thinking. As part of this, we work to develop skills that will help children to thrive in the 21st Century. These are called 21st Century skills and encompass the following areas:

  • Creativity and innovation
  • Collaboration and teamwork
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Communication

Learning is a journey that never ends and our learning experiences at Hornsby are planned by our qualified educators based on the needs and interests of individual and groups of children

Our outdoor space offers a large undercover area to allow children to enjoy the outdoors all year round. Our outdoor environment encourages sensory, messy and exploratory play. This provides children with a great opportunity to make their own discoveries using their senses, curiosity and knowledge as children engage in the sandpit, mud pit, water creek and bark area.

Situated on a residential street near Hornsby Hospital we pride ourselves in building connections for children and families within business in the local community by welcome them to the centre or taking children on excursions to visit them. Come and have a look for yourself by taking a tour of our centre.
