Guardian Childcare & Education Balmain Cove

Guardian Childcare & Education Balmain Cove is bursting with resource-rich environments, including herb gardens, worm farms, a large veranda, natural play structures and a range of age-specific play areas where children are encouraged to explore and learn.

The Team at Guardian Balmain Cove use the family communication app StoryPark to stay connected and ensure families are kept up-to-date with what’s happening in the Centre and what the children have been doing throughout the day. This ongoing partnership promotes continuity of learning.

Children and families also have the added benefit of a Preschool Program led by quality teachers who are there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to school.

We are proud to have a culturally diverse team of Educators at Guardian Balmain Cove, and we celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays in our Centre throughout the year. Children also get out and about on weekly excursions into the local community, which helps children learn about the world around them.

Our on-site cook, who is the heart of our kitchen, prepares five nutritionally balanced meals using seasonal ingredients every day. To further explore food at the Centre, our Educators host hands-on cooking classes for the children to enhance their understanding of good nutrition.

Our Educators

Our team of Educators are committed and passionate about ensuring your child will be safe, nurtured and cared for every day. At Guardian, children are encouraged to engage in interest-led play that creates learning and meaningful experiences.

Our Educators seek to optimise diverse learning opportunities and implement the Curriculum as framed by the Early Years Learning Framework.

You and Your Child

All Guardian Centres provide a Centre-to-Family communication platform so families can maintain contact with their children’s experiences through photos, stories and learning outcomes.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Learn More About Our Centre

This early learning centre is designed to replicate the comfort of a family-style environment where our Educators create a warm and loving atmosphere for each and every child. Well-designed interior spaces and a large outdoor space that is full of means there is plenty of room for your children to explore and grow.

We have four rooms tailored for child-led learning as they grow and each child can enjoy indoor or outdoor play dependent on their needs and interests. We love to bring special guests and new experiences into the centre for the children to engage with and explore. We also value our connections with the community and children of all ages regularly attend excursions out into our local community.

Our Nursery has all the comforts of home with equipment and learning materials specific to the development and learning needs of children between six weeks and 18 months of age. We delight in watching your children gain confidence in what they have learnt as babies and then expand on their skills and knowledge.

Our Junior Toddler and Senior Toddler rooms facilitate each child’s learning based on their interests as they discover their independence through to our Pre-School Room where children have a sense of ownership of the room and contribute to the curriculum whilst continuing their day to day routine. Our Pre-School children are encouraged to extend their thoughts about the world around them and encourages them to question, explore and discover. This room also offers children an interactive transition to school program which incorporates project work.
