I am so thrilled with the care and attention my son received from the educators in Nursery 2 at the Guardian Walker Street centre.I loved receiving the photo updates and summaries of the kid's day. It really helped get rid of any of that returning to work guilt I was feeling. I can't recommend Guardian Walker Street enough.

We have had a wonderful experience. Rebekah and her team are good communicators and caring. My child has thrived at the centre. Nura and Mandy in nursery 1 are fantastic. We have not had much interaction with other individual educators at this point but I have full confidence that they will be just as amazing.

I started my daughter in the nursery at 10 months old and she LOVES it! Ambra and Rebekah are amazing. Also love receiving end of day updates and photos. SO CUTE! Highly recommend!

A wonderful centre with fantastic staff. The team are responsive, enthusiastic and caring and provide a nurturing and safe learning environment across all of the age groups. There is a focus on all aspects of child development and the team work hard to ensure that the children's days are a balance of learning and play.I highly recommend Walker Street!

Hi to every parents, I would like to recommend this child care centre for your kids because this centre feels like a home "belonging" staffs are excellent children feels safe and secure, more over the staffs are really loving and understanding. I was a prac student in this centre I got to learn allot from them. Best experience I have got in this centre.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like. Please note, this will vary depending on centre opening hours.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There’s a chance to share what’s important for the day and any news from home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

An opportunity to play and discover with open-plan play in family groups and multi-age groupings.

Planned experiences. This is where the Guardian difference comes to life. Alongside our Educators your child’s exploration leads to learnings in numeracy, literacy, language, critical thinking, problem solving, leadership, social skills, technology, creative arts and much more.

Morning tea
An opportunity for children to come together for a healthy snack, often they help prepare their food alongside our carers and chef.

Mid-morning
Individually tailored to your child’s needs and curiosity the planned experiences continue, this includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

Lunch
Another nutritious meal expertly prepared by our chef. Families are invited to join the children for meals and excursions if they wish.

Afternoon
If your child wants to, or needs to sleep, it’s time to rest and recharge. For children who don’t need to rest the planned experiences continue, in most cases outdoors.

Afternoon tea
Another chance for the children to come together and re-fuel in small groups or with siblings. There is also an opportunity to rest or play together and reflect on the day.

Pick-up
As you arrive to pick up your child, there’s a chance to speak with our Educators and share news about the day. Our Storypark App also allows you to stay in touch 24/7 wherever you are.

End of day
Your child is encouraged to grab a light snack before they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary, throughout the day if we notice your child looking tired food will be provided.

Guardian Childcare & Education Walker Street offers the warmth and comfort of a family home. Our purpose-built outdoor space is accessible from every classroom, and has plenty of room in which to run, ride and explore. The children love playing outside with friends of different ages, or with their brothers and sisters. We also have a quiet decking space for babies to safely explore the world alongside the older children, which helps to develop their social interaction skills.
We have many budding artists in our care, making our art studio a hub of activity! We believe in embracing our children’s interests and encourage creative expression, whether that’s individually or collaboratively. Project-based learning allows children to extend their knowledge and abilities in both small and large groups.
Our Educators are friendly and approachable, and go out of their way to build strong relationships with families before their child even begins with us. We offer tours of our centre to become familiar with our Educators and the environment, and an orientation program to ensure you are comfortable and confident to leave your child with us. Once in our care you are welcome to drop by and play alongside your child any time, and to discuss their progress with our Educators. We also offer monthly meetings in which we can reassess shared goals for your child.
Our children love cooking, and often bake cupcakes to raise money for the Starlight Foundation. Our wonderful on-site cooks prepares nutritious and delicious daily meals that cater to the fussiest of eaters. Breakfast starts at 7:00am and is a great opportunity to spend time with your child, our Educators and other families before we begin our busy day.
