Both my children (5) & (3) attend this centre. Centre is clean, well maintained and the communication is great. Educators are very interactive with the parents and most importantly passionate and engaging with the children. The educational progress my children have made in the early years of their developmental phase is exceptional. Would highly recommend Guardian Mt Eliza

Our son attended here for a little over a year, and we were all so sad when it came time to move on.The staff there are so passionate, so obviously enjoying their jobs. The kids grow together, eating lots of good food (and the occasional treat), and get to explore ever changing indoor and outdoor areas.Every student (and their parents) is given a unique experience, and the educators are happy to work with you to make sure everyone's happy.Still, the place was not perfect. Billing was sometimes a bit muddled, and the carpark occasionally flooded.Would recommend for anyone who needs long hour daycare, honestly can't praise it highly enough.

Children are surrounded by a supportive environment that ignites their curiosity and encourages their development and growth. They are supported by a dedicated team of culturally diverse and community-minded early childhood education Teachers and Educators, who tailor their care and approach to each child’s individual needs.

Our early learning and development approach uses play-based learning and a leading curriculum that encourages each child to explore, play, and learn in a nurturing environment.

Families searching for early learning centres in Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula will be thrilled with the quality learning programs, support, communication, nutritious food and more. At our Mt Eliza early learning centre, we believe in creating a safe and secure learning environment where children are supported to be confident, creative and curious learners.

Children attending our Centre will also have the chance to see the same familiar faces as they move on up from our nursery room, into our Mt Eliza kindergarten program, designed specifically to help prepare your child to transition from early learning to primary school.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the Centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Save up to $2,050 a year for children aged three years old and above in eligible long day cares in 2024. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.

The importance of nutrition is emphasised, with fresh fruit and vegetables prepared daily by our qualified chef. We also strive to instil a love of learning, with a high-quality program that supports the children to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. Each child’s individual interests and abilities are nurtured, and creativity is encouraged through play, art, dance and music.

At Guardian Mt Eliza, close to Frankston South, families can view the day-to-day learning and educational programs through our Visible Learning program, an approach that is unique to Guardian. This program enables parents to understand their child’s learnings via the Learning Exchange Display – located near the front of our Centre.

Families will also be able to keep up to date with their child’s progress through our family communication app Storypark. This app is a direct way to discover deeper insights on what’s happening day-to-day, as well as any other updates and experiences that happen within the Centre.

Our Teachers and Educators are passionate about creating a sense of family, with children often seeing the same familiar faces as they grow from attending our nursery and move on up to our specialist two-year funded kindergarten program and beyond.

If you’re looking to start on an exciting learning journey, book a tour at our amazing Guardian Mt Eliza childcare today!

"I love everything about my role, getting to know children and their families and being part of their special milestones and celebrations."

Where children are supported to be brave, curious, and bold in their learning, for the best possible start to life.

Rhythm of the Day

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment and no two days are the same.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

The early learning centre in Mount Eliza is filled with bright, stimulating materials that encourage children to explore and engage their curiosity about the exciting world around them. During those crucial early years, children receive support as they develop their social and emotional skills through their learning journey, guided by a dedicated team of university-qualified Teachers and Educators. They create enriching experiences in a nurturing environment that fosters creativity and imagination, providing a safe space for young age groups in child care Mount Eliza.

Guardian Mt Eliza is open from 7.00am to 6.30pm every weekday, providing plenty of flexibility for drop off and pick up times. During drop-off or pick-up times, we encourage you to stay for a little while and spend some time exploring the learning environment and see how our team is supporting your child’s strong foundation to life.

Our family communication app, Storypark, provides you with photos and updates on your child throughout the day, offering you the opportunity to stay informed about your child’s early learning and development. We also set up different learning outcomes for the children through Storypark, which supports them in achieving developmental milestones and understanding new ideas.

For children aged three and four, we have a kindergarten program led by university-qualified Teachers that can support your child in their preparation for the step up into primary school. Our kindergarten curriculum is based on leading child development research and demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible start to life for your child through quality childcare services.

Through our high-quality kindergarten program, children have the opportunity to learn some of the skills that are often only introduced in early primary school. We begin learning and exploring shapes, numbers and letters through fun, play-based activities.

We develop each child’s literacy and numeracy skills to help them feel confident and prepared during the challenging leap into primary school. Our high-quality program supports the needs and routines of each of our families, and we ensure each child’s culture and family background is supported and encouraged.

We’re committed to early childhood wellbeing, and our in-centre cook prepares fresh, nutritious meals packed with all the nutrients growing bodies need. We encourage children to engage in food preparation and to ask questions about where their food comes from, why it’s good for them, and how they can eat it. We also encourage exploration of the cultural heritage behind different foods, helping promote cultural diversity and inclusion from an early age.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families will be able to gain an understanding of their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display will provide the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share updates on your child’s progress. It will also be a chance for you to have direct input into your child’s learning!

Learning should be fun! Learning through play allows children to build their knowledge, develop confidence, and embrace curiosity.

Kindergarten/Preschool Program

Our specialist two-year kindergarten/preschool program is led by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Children explore and understand their world in an environment of safety and security. It’s where they develop the foundational literacy and numeracy skills to thrive.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
