Meet our Centre Manager Emma

"My mission is to provide a service which includes high quality care and to advocate for children’s rights, ensuring our environment is safe, hygienic, and supportive for children’s growth and learning and where children and families and the team can engage and have a sense of belonging."

Where children are supported to be brave, curious, and bold in their learning, for the best possible start to life.

Rhythm of the Day

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment and no two days are the same.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Learn More About Our Centre

Guardian Childcare & Education Eatons Hill is a new and purpose-built Centre in Brisbane’s northern suburbs. It’s suitable for families living in Eatons Hil, Warner, Albany Creek, Draper, Clear Mountain and Brendale.

The brand-new Centre provides a caring and nurturing environment where children learn, make lasting friendships, and are supported to reach their full potential. Guardian Eatons Hill is perfect for families living in or near the Eatons Hill area, providing an environment that is both welcoming and nurturing in the heart of the local community.

At Guardian Childcare and Education Eatons Hill, your child’s development and well-being are at the forefront of everything we do. Our brand new daycare Eatons Hill offers a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. With our state-of-the-art facilities and a passionate team of educators, we ensure each child receives personalised care and education.

If you are searching for top-tier Eatons Hill child care, look no further than our carefully designed centre. We invite you to experience the exceptional childcare Eatons Hill families trust, providing a comprehensive approach to early childhood education. At Eatons Hill childcare, your child’s journey of learning, play, and social development is our primary focus.

We have a wonderful team, including caring Educators, who are passionate about creating experiences for children that promote learning and emotional development through play. Our Educators and Teachers are all passionate and highly experienced, and we have university-qualified Early Childhood Teachers providing care and education to the children as well. Our Teachers and Educators work to understand each child’s unique characteristics, interests and talents to make lifelong learning a more fun and engaging experience.

We have a spacious outdoor area filled with stimulating natural materials for children to explore their world and develop an understanding of nature. They may choose to spend some time creating amazing shapes and structures in our shaded sandpit area or running around on our spacious grass space.

Communication and transparency are important to us, and our family communication app, Storypark, provides us with the opportunity to freely share photos, videos and updates with families on their child’s growth and learning. Through informing families on their child’s progress, families can be empowered to continue the learning at home and further discuss any new ideas or concepts that the child explored that day.

Guardian Eatons Hill fosters strong local community connections, supporting children through their development of social, communication and emotional skills. Through regular community excursions and community visits to the centre, children will develop the emotional and social skills needed for lifelong learning.

Through community connections and interaction with school-age children, we can begin preparing children for the step up into formal education through the assistance of our local primary school, which is where many of our children may end up going.

Our kindergarten program is another way we begin to prepare our children for the exciting, but often daunting, transition into primary school. Three and four-year-olds have the opportunity to learn some of the basic skills they’ll be exposed to in their first year of school, such as shapes, colours, numbers and phonics. Through introducing these in preschool, children can feel more prepared and confident as they begin the transition.

Our program is led by specialist Educational Leaders who guide teaching and learning in a flexible and research-supported way. The leading curriculum supports discovery and gives children the best start to life, as well as being aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

Our kindergarten program also aims to develop children’s social and emotional skills, by providing a safe and secure learning environment, they have the space to take risks and challenge themselves, helping build self-confidence and develop independence.

At Guardian Childcare and Education Eatons Hill, we believe that children are unique and have their own learning styles. Our tailored approach creates opportunities for children to explore and expand their knowledge in a manner that best suits them. By involving family in the learning process, we can address each child’s specific needs and aspirations, fostering a collaborative environment where learning extends beyond the classroom. This holistic approach ensures that both children and families feel supported and engaged, making their educational journey a truly enriching experience.

Every child deserves a fun and secure environment for learning, and that’s exactly what we provide through engaging play-based education at Eatons Hill preschool and kindergarten. We foster positive attitudes towards learning, nurturing children into naturally curious, lifelong learners. Additionally, our family day care option is perfect for busy families, offering long day care benefits.

We’re also committed to children’s nutrition and wellbeing. Our dedicated on-site cook prepares fresh, nutrient-rich meals tailored to children’s developmental needs so they meet their full potential and get the very best start to each day. We encourage kids to participate in food preparation and explore questions about their meals, fostering an understanding of where food comes from and its benefits. Our approach promotes diversity and inclusion by exploring the cultural heritage of different foods from an early age.

At Guardian Childcare and Education Eatons Hill, we pride ourselves on offering flexible care options tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. Our secure environments create a safe haven where children can explore and develop their problem-solving skills through engaging play and learning activities. By fostering a nurturing atmosphere, we create opportunities for children to build lasting friendships, guiding them towards social and emotional growth that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Our unique Visible Learning Program helps families feel connected to their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display will provide the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share updates on your child’s progress. It will also be a chance for you to have direct input into your family’s early childhood education experience.

Our Learning Programs

Learning should be fun! Learning through play encourages children to explore and understand their world at their own pace. It helps build their knowledge, develop confidence, and embrace curiosity.

Learning should be fun! Learning through play allows children to build their knowledge, develop confidence, and embrace curiosity.

Kindergarten Program

Our specialist two-year kindergarten/preschool program is led by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Children explore and understand their world in an environment of safety and security. It’s where they develop the foundational literacy and numeracy skills to thrive.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.

Fantastic centre, my child has settled in faster than I expected. Educators are great with the kids. Daily planned activities and chef on site are well worth the price. The directors make you feel very welcome and go beyond their duties :)

I highly recommend this centre to anyone that listens! The centre is amazing and has thought of everything. My son wakes up on weekends wanting to go to daycare . All the staff have been so kind and patient and helpful with helping my son feel safe and supported. The programs that they implement are so creative, engaging and of such a high standard and are tailored to the interests and needs of each child. The level of personalised care and support for my son has been outstanding where the educators have gone above and beyond to support not only my son but me too! 😊
