We’re a defence family and our transition to Guardian Wodonga has been fantastic.

Their staff retention is high. Management and many of their staff have been working at the facility for multiple years - always a positive sign.

We don't just feel like a number at Guardian Wodonga. Everyone we have been in contact with are welcoming and appear to genuinely care about our children. Staff are approachable and respect our needs.

They also manage my daughter's anaphylaxis allergy with the utmost care.

The centre has always been honest and transparent, making me feel at ease leaving my precious cargo in their care.

I honestly cannot fault any of the care my son and daughter continue to receive.

Well done Guardian Wodonga. It is evident that you enjoy your what you do and this reflects on our kids too. 5 Stars.

I would like to say thank you to manager, admin, teachers and educators at Guardian Wodonga Center. For many months that my daughter, Bella attended there she had so much fun and she learnt a lot from there. Every time when she came home she always told what she has done at child care. She loved her teachers and educators so much. Thanks for taking care of her and made her become a wonderful girl.

The team at Guardian Wodonga are amazing. Always so warm and friendly and genuinely caring. We see every day how well they care for our son, and how happy and safe he is. There is always something delicious on the home-cooked menu. Learning through play is a strong focus, which is executed really well with many indoor and outdoor activities, games and resources. We’re so grateful for the fabulous care our son receives and for the meaningful connections and relationships he’s developing with educators and friends. We wouldn’t want him to be cared for anywhere but Guardian Wodonga.

We’ve had a really positive experience at this Guardian centre. The staff are warm, caring and attentive, and it’s clear they genuinely care about the children. Our kids have grown in confidence and independence since starting, and they always come home happy. They are absolutely convinced that Ellyn is the best, and I don’t think anyone could change their minds on that! Communication is great, and we always feel our children are safe, supported and understood. We’re very grateful to have found this centre.

Cannot recommend these guys enough. The centre management, the educators and all the staff are wonderful. They just seem to know my girls and I feel confident and safe having them care for them while I’m at work. Communication and openness is great and they are all so friendly and helpful.

I can’t recommend this daycare enough! The team is caring, professional, and always welcoming. Ellyn is absolutely amazing she brings so much warmth, energy, and organisation to the centre. You can tell she genuinely cares about the kids and families. The front of house management team is also fantastic always friendly and on top of everything.

There can be a bit of staff turnover at times, but the overall care and atmosphere have always been excellent. My experience has been really positive, and I’m so grateful for the love and attention they give the children.

The staff are what make this centre so special. Every person, from the office staff to the chef, knows our children and engages with them, creating such a warm and welcoming environment. All staff are passionate and caring, and they know our kids personally – from their likes and dislikes to the milestones they’re working on.

Communication is excellent, with daily updates, photos, and genuine feedback at the end of each day that helps us connect daycare experiences to home.

The kinder program is well designed and structured, with a clear direction towards school readiness.

Little one started this year; he loves it there! Clean and bright facility makes it inviting, and the drop off/pick up is super easy. The app updates are amazing. He loves his educators and have built that rapport with them. Fantastic meals! Great hours for parents 0630-1800.

Our toddler Lily has only been going here for 6 months, but she absolutely loves the Nursery One team. It's so lovely seeing her happily playing when we pick her up, or getting a cuddle from one of the ladies. They are always updating us on how she's been doing, sending home projects she's been working on, and focusing on key areas we think she'll enjoy. The weekly email updates are a highlight, spotting Lily in each photo. The centre staff have also been lovely, helping us in whatever way they can. We are unfortunately moving on (heading back to Melbourne), and I know Lily is going to miss Jacinta, Georgia, Caitlin and Sheridan very much.

I can not say enough good things about this place. Fun Family atmosphere that begins with the owner Dunkin and is multiplied through the rest of the staff to the children, loving, kind staff, attentive but not over barring, allow children to have challenging experiances, yet nurturing when the children need it. We absolutely love bubble bees! And I'm sure you will too.
Anna H.
Superb standard of care. I would rate higher if I could. I really appreciate the family values of the place and the center has earned our trust several times over. Our daughter has been going a couple days a week for several months now and she looks forward to it, and talks about the warm friendly staff by name (she is 2.5yo). The center has talked about their focus on education and it shows in our child's behavior. It's not just all about the new age teaching but has truly appropriate programs and routines that benefit our daughter in many other environments. Thank you Bumblebees. 😊
Thomay K.
Our kids loved coming here. Lots of space and play. Great staff.

The best childcare centre. All the educators are awesome. None of the other childcare centres can match the standards. This is an amazing facility. You are lucky if your child goes to this centre.
Ellen H.
Our daughter loves her day here and everyone is eager and they work hard to make sure she is adapting well, and communicating with us as parents. They are always upskilling themselves for example importantly to us key sign and visual aids. We are very thankful we were able to find a place here for our girl

My child has been attending Guardian Childcare (Thomas Mitchell Dr) for almost two years, and our experience has been fantastic. The educators are patient, caring, and genuinely focused on each child’s well-being. They provide a variety of activities that have helped my child grow socially and develop strong motor skills. I also appreciate the daily updates and photos shared through the APP. I feel completely secure leaving my child in their care everyday.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our centre is a recipient of funding as part of the Victoria Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to 15hrs of free kindergarten week. Four year olds will receive between 16- 25 hours of free kindergarten a week through the government’s Pre Prep program. This funding is on top of the Child Care Subsidy and can reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
