Welcome to our Centre

Welcome to Guardian Childcare & Education Westgarth, formerly TimeOut Educare Westgarth.
Our purpose-built Guardian Westgarth child care centre within the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Northcote features seven beautifully designed learning spaces, two infant sleep rooms, six art rooms, a dining hall, a visual learning room and three libraries!
Our play-based learning programs are designed around stages of children’s development to enable age-appropriate learning and growth. We offer amazing programs including Cooking, Nutrition, Languages, Sustainability, Fitness & Yoga, Art, Music.
Children attending our Westgarth day care centre will have access to engaging, resource-rich environments, with:

  • Passionate Educators who focus on building strong relationships with children and families
  • Incredible learning programs to support children’s curiosity and creativity
  • Modern learning spaces full of resources designed to support children’s growth and development

Children have the opportunity to see the same familiar faces as they move on up from our nursery room into our dedicated, funded Kindergarten program, designed specifically to help prepare your child to transition from early learning to primary school.

Supported through a passionate and dedicated team of university-qualified Teachers and Educators, our childcare centre in the Westgarth neighbourhood provides a safe, secure environment for children. Our personalised approach ensures each child is supported to be bold, creative, and curious in their learning journey.

Conveniently located next to Westgarth Railway Station, a bus stop and the tram stop on High Street, there’s also plenty of safe off-street parking in our basement carpark to make drop off and pick up easy for families.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the Centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,050 a year for children aged three years old and above in eligible long day cares in 2024. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.

"The greatest joy for me is witnessing the magic of transformation. It's seeing a child's eyes light up with discovery, curiosity, their confidence blossom through play, and their sense of self emerge through meaningful interactions. We just don't care for children, we nurture the seeds of their potential, and that's a privilege beyond measure".

We have had a fantastic experience with Timeout Westgarth this year. The staff are all very sweet and our daughter is clearly very happy spending the day there.
