We’re about building strong relationships with children and families, ensuring we create amazing learning experiences for each child and age group. We are committed to best practices in our child care Centre, ensuring a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for babies, toddlers, and kindergarten-aged children.

Each learning program is designed by experienced Educators to support children in developing social and emotional skills, along with literacy, numeracy and problem-solving ability that prepares them for a life of learning. Our learning programs are aligned with the Early Years Framework and Australian School Curriculum and use the best educational resources to support children to develop and learn.

As they progress, children will also have the chance to see the same familiar faces as they move on up from our nursery room, into our dedicated two-year Kindergarten program, designed specifically to help prepare each child for a smooth transition from early learning to primary school.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2025. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families are able to gain an understanding of their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display provides the opportunity for our university-qualified Teachers and experienced Educators to share updates on your child’s progress. It is also a chance for you to have direct input and be involved in your child’s learning! Visible Learning is unique to Guardian early learning centres.

Families have access to our communication app Storypark, allowing us to share important Centre updates, as well as exciting activities or milestones–ensuring that you remain connected, day-to-day. Meet our Centre Manager Kathy and team

"We believe each child is unique and individual and my educational beliefs are underpinned by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, which advocates experiences in a natural and child-centered environment, both indoors and outdoors. Seeing things through the eyes of our children can be very inspiring, contributing to a happier and more positive environment, and more meaningful interactions".

Our Flying Start to School program provides a specialised 2-year curriculum for children aged 3 to 5. Our unique program has two stages - Becoming Me for 3 year olds and Being Me for 4 year olds. I was deeply impressed by the new and complete facilities, bright and spacious space, and clean environment of Bridge Kids. The staff were all very patient, friendly, and responsible either treat children or cooperate each other. As a pre-service teacher who had my placement here, I believe Bridge Kids is a great place for any new teachers to start. As they can learn and improve a lot from the experienced educators there. I also strongly recommend parents putting their children here. The food is pretty nice!

My little one started in the nursery a few weeks ago and the centre made sure everything went smoothly. The communication throughout the day has been outstanding. As first time parents it’s always daunting to leave your baby with someone else, however we have had no issues with the transition and our daughter seems to be having a great time! The nursery is clean , sleeping space is calm and the room is well equipped. Huge thank you to all the carers and staff for your support!

Bridge kids has been an amazing centre that is always attentive to the childcare. All staff and management are very welcoming, emphasising that home away from home feel. Both my children love coming in smiling as we walk through the door. The experiences they create are not only engaging but purposeful and the growth I have seen is second to none.

My daughter has been attending Bridge Kids for 10 months, and I have seen her vocabulary and behavior grow by leaps and bounds since she started. She really enjoys participating in the activities they set up, and it’s wonderful to see her so engaged! I love that they upload many photos daily, it’s such a joy to see what she’s been up to. They also have occasional family events which I really enjoy participating in. All the staff members are very kind and friendly, creating such a welcoming environment. I highly recommend Bridge Kids to any parent looking for a childcare centre around this area.

We've been attending Bridge Kids since January and instantly became part of their family. All the staff go above and beyond for your children. Though their supportive environment our very late talker is now a thriving chatterbox. Kathy and her team are an amazing addition to your village.

My son has been attending Bridge Kids since Feb 2024 and right from the start, the entire team have been beyond incredible. The management team are always helpful and welcoming in the mornings and afternoons and respond to emails and queries professionally and in a timely manner. The nursery room staff helped us settle so quickly and are always providing beautiful photos and updates via their online platform and always engaging and interacting so wonderfully with all of the children and families. The room environment is always clean and inviting and they really care about the children and their wellbeing and it shows in the way my son is so excited to see them when we come into the room and goes happily into their arms. Other team members also make the effort to get to know all of the children and will often greet my son by name as they pass us by. The food is wholesome and varied, my son always eats well and the chef is so friendly and warm. I cannot highly recommend this centre to parents enough!

Bridge Kids has come such a long was over the past few months and is only getting better as the days go on. Initially I became an educator here and we’ve all come together and put in a lot of hard work to refresh the centre and the program. Now, my own children attend full time and are thriving. They can’t wait to get up and go to ‘work’ in the mornings and hate it when we have to leave. This centre isn’t just our childcare/work - the team have honestly made it our second home and I am so grateful.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Our Centres use Storypark and each family is provided with a secure login to access on their computers, mobiles or apps.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
