We absolutely love Guardian Caulfield North. Our daughter has been going to this daycare centre since she was 7 months old and we immediately felt at ease with the educators and the centre manager Cristina. We had the opportunity to come in for 3 orientation sessions before our daughter's first full day which helped getting to know the space and the team. Everyone we have dealt with so far has been caring, well-organised and knowledgeable. The communication is great and we have a lot of trust in the team. It's really nice when you are able to drop off your child and feel certain that she will be well looked after and that she'll be enjoying her time at daycare.

My son has attended this centre since he was 2+ years old from pre-kinda and now 3+ years progressing to full day Kinda care. Few things my husband and I particularly like about this centre is that they have full time professional educators, make our child easier to build trust and relationship with the educators. He has rapidly grows his confident, communication skills and motor ability due to variety educational activities provided by the centre. My son all the sudden fully toilet trained himself by monitoring his classmates in the class before he turn 2 and a half year old. This positive and pleasing outcome definitely were not what we were expecting but we were welcome it with whole hearted. The in-house chef also a big highlight to us especially for our fussy eating boy. The meals always delicious, healthy and full of variety. They also keep us up informed what our child eat or do by sending us photos and videos each class/day. I strongly recommend checking out this centre and experience yourself xx

Guardian Caulfield North exceeded my expectations and put my mind at ease within minutes of first walking through the door. My daughter has been attending since she was 10 months old and she loves going there. The educators across the nursery and toddler rooms have been amazing. Her motor and language skills have increased significantly and we're very appreciative of the care and support they give the children. The food is better than what we offer at home and the manager and staff are all incredibly lovely and approachable. Would recommend to everyone.

Beautiful centre, well maintained. Our children love spending time here and I’ll need to get some tips from the chef as they keep saying how much better the food is here. Thank you for taking such amazing care and putting in the time and effort to make their time spent here enjoyable especially after the ordeal of covid.

We have just recently moved into the area, and were looking for a new child care centre for our 1 and 3 year old. We went on a number of tours in the local area, and just feel in love with the Guardian Childcare Centre. The centre is light filled and full of engaging activities, plus a lovely outdoor area. We had a personal conversation with the chef, who is able to cater to our children's special dietary requirements, and ensure are kids are able to have the same meals as the other children, with some minor changes. And the room teachers are just so lovely. We are so happy with the decision to move. Would recommend.

My 3 children go here and they absolutely love it.The Educators are all incredible and I don't know what the Chef is doing but the kids no longer want to eat my food and only want the food at child care. I was lucky enough to try some and I instantly realised why. The food quality here is amazing.Cristina, the Centre Manager here is incredible, my daughter was having a really rough day and the way that the CM was able to communicate with and work with her played a massive role is her settling down and enjoying the rest of her day.FIVE STARS! Couldn't recommend more highly.

My son started his journey when he was 20months old . He has been attending Guardian North Caulfield centre for the last 8months. Sadly he needs to move his childcare closer to our home because we are going to move to other suburb. I highly recommend Guardian North Caulfield, the premises is lovely ,clean and has enough space for the children to play. My son was in great hands especially when he was in Toddler1 room being looked after by ladies especially Alex who cared for his development..We feels so comfortable leaving him there every day.

This isn’t just a daycare centre. It’s like a second family. My little girl loves going in to see her friends and educators. Her language and social skills have come on in leaps and bounds. She has so much fun every day and she eats sooo well! We’re kept informed about what she’s up to everyday so we can extend that learning at home and chat to her about all the cool things she’s doing at school.I could not ask for more from a daycare centre.

My four year old son has been in Gardian child care Caufield North since year 2020. He is happy to go to childcare twice in a week. We have been observing and happy that my son is intellectually growing well. About the Gardian, first of all it is tidy and well organized. The manager and the teachers are quick responding to our queries and indeed, they look after my son very well. I am proud of you. we will be announced regarding any activities well in time, that makes us to prepare my son in advance. Finally, my son likes garden food menu than home prepared food . Thank you.

"My goal is to ensure all children are respected for who they are and what magical knowledge they bring to the centre."

Where children are supported to be brave, curious, and bold in their learning, for the best possible start to life.

Rhythm of the Day

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment at Guardian and no two days are the same. Here’s what a day at Guardian might look like.

With endless possibilities, there’s never a dull moment and no two days are the same.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

In addition to high quality care and education, at Guardian Caulfield North we also provide:

  • Kindergarten Program: We help prepare your child for Primary School with our leading curriculum delivered by Teachers with specialist early childhood university degrees. The Guardian ‘Moving on Up to School’ Kindergarten Program is our contemporary approach that gives your child the full benefits of a structured daily learning program while you are supported with the longer care hours we provide. That means your child gets the best start to their schooling, while you’re able to better juggle the day-to-day thanks to longer care hours than those provided by community-based programs.

  • Community connections. Regular excursions to explore the local area, as well as a ‘home-away-from-home’ approach to care.
  • Wellbeing and nutrition. Educating children about the importance of healthy eating and wellbeing is an important part of early childhood development. As in the home, our kitchens are often the heart of our Centres – acting as a meeting place for children, families and Educators. Where adults role-model a healthy love of food and shared mealtimes. Nutritionally balanced, seasonal meals and snacks prepared by a dedicated on-site chef, as well as regular cooking classes for the children.

  • Designated drop off and pick up zones to assist with those busy mornings and afternoons.
  • Casual care days where possible to help you manage the unpredictable nature of work life and home life.
  • Assisting you with government subsidies and entitlements to help you make the most of the financial support which may be available

Learn More About Our Centre

Guardian Childcare & Education Caulfield North is a beautiful, open-plan Centre located on Dandenong Road Road, providing convenient access for families travelling to the city.

We’re passionate about preparing our children to be the big thinkers of the future, so our values are centred around providing them with positive attitudes towards humanity and democracy. We teach these values to the children through play-based learning, often led by the child. Our Centre is filled with bright, stimulating materials that encourage children to explore and engage their curiosities to discover more about the exciting world around them.

Through our Kindergarten program, we help prepare children for their exciting, but often daunting, transition into primary school. We focus on developing many of the key skills that children use in the first few years of school, supporting them to feeling more ready and confident as they take the big step up.

Guardian Caulfield North is open from 7.00 am to 6.30 pm every weekday, so families are provided with plenty of flexibility for the hours they work and the time they choose to drop off and pick up their child. During drop-off or pick-up times, we encourage you to stay for a little while and spend some time exploring the learning environment. Our Educators and Teachers can provide some understanding of the various play materials and education spaces throughout the Centre to help you discover some ways to continue learning at home.

Our family communication app, Storypark, provides you with photos and updates on your child throughout the day, offering you the opportunity to stay informed about your child’s early learning and development. We also set up different learning outcomes for the children through Storypark, which supports them through achieving developmental milestones and understanding new ideas.

For children aged three and four, we have a kindergarten program led by university-qualified Teachers that can support your child in their preparation for the step up into primary school. Our kindergarten curriculum has the Victorian Government Kinder Tick, which demonstrates our commitment to providing the best possible start to life for your child. Our program is led by specialist Educational Leaders who guide teaching and learning in a flexible and research-supported way.

Through our kindergarten program, children have the opportunity to learn some of the skills that are often only introduced in early primary school. We begin learning and exploring shapes, numbers and letters through fun, play-based activities.

We’re committed to children’s nutrition, and our on-site cook prepares each meal fresh and packed with all the nutrients that children need at their age. We encourage children to engage in food preparation and to ask questions about where their food comes from, why it’s good for them, and how they can eat it. We also encourage exploration of the cultural heritage behind different foods, helping promote diversity and inclusion from an early age.

We develop each child’s literacy and numeracy skills to help them feel confident and prepared during the challenging leap into primary school. Our program supports the needs and routines of each of our families, and we ensure each child’s cultural background is supported and encouraged.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families will be able to gain an understanding of their child’s education. Our Learning Exchange Display will provide the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share updates on your child’s progress. It will also be a chance for you to have direct input into your child’s learning!

Why not come and meet the team and have a look around our Centre today? We’d love to show you why Guardian Caulfield North is the perfect learning environment for your child. At Guardian, we believe that together, we can create life-long learners.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!

I am an educator at another childcare centre but Caulfield North I highly recommend, I have friends with their children there and I only hear good things about the centre. The staff are incredible and the learning experiences the educators set up for the children are incredible. The nutritious food the chef provides for the children is outstanding as you can tell it is made with love and passion as I have had a few taste testers and looking at the menu, it is never boring. If I didn’t live so far away I would love to join the Caulfield north team! The centre manager was amazing with answering some questions I had to ask, she made me feel so comfortable and at ease.Highly recommend!!

My children have been attending this centre for approximately one month, and they have settled so well. All the educators have been very accommodating, and the centre manager and assistant centre manager are so quick at responding to questions, and very helpful. Also the food is amazing! Love the pictures on storypark

My two girls have been going to Guardian Caulfield North since they were 12 weeks old, and they have absolutely loved every moment! The staff are amazing! They are always warm & welcoming and I'm always impressed by the educational experiences that they provide each and every day.The quality and variety of the meals are second to none, and I am so grateful that my girls are able to try all kinds of foods that they would never experience at home. The Center Manager is easy to talk to, very open and always responsive.I couldn't imagine sending my girls anywhere else, thank you to everyone at Guardian Caulfield North!

My son started this childcare when he was 11 months old. He attended nursery 2 & Toddler 1 room. He loves his educators and friends. He was very well settled. We are moving home from this area that's why we are taking him out otherwise we were very happy with this childcare. Thank you so much for taking care of him.

Guardian Caulfield North creates a warm and welcoming family environment. The Centre facilities are of the highest standard, the chef makes the most scrumptious food and the educators care for the children like they are their own! Highly recommend! 👍🏽

Both my kids go to this childcare, and I have always found them to be highly professional and responsive. The educators have advanced my children's development so much, including toilet training. They do so many activities with the kids every day, we are very happy with this centre.

Thank you.
