ROLES

Not sure which role is right for you?

Now that you know some of the many reasons why our team members love working at Guardian, we want to help you start your own journey towards working with us.

To make things simpler, we’ve put together this quick guide on the top positions we offer at our childcare centres across Australia. We hope that it serves as a starting point for you to find the opportunity that best fits your wants and needs.

1. Chefs/Cooks

All of the Chefs/Cooks in our childcare centres are an important part of our team.

At Guardian, we believe in providing healthy and nutritious snacks and meals to all of our children throughout the day. So our chefs/cooks use fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients to create fun, new recipes that everyone will enjoy.

Many of our childcare centres even have vegetable and herb gardens right on the premises to make building healthy habits even easier.

2. Room Leaders

Room leaders are another valuable part of our team, and we are always looking for room leaders who are just as passionate about serving our community as we are.

As a room leader, you will collaborate with children, families, Educators, and Centre Managers on a daily basis to make sure that the needs of every child are being met, including their social, emotional, and learning needs, just to name a few.

You’ll pay particular attention to the development of each child on an individual level and make sure that they are prepared for primary school and beyond. This means that you’re one of the first adults in their lives outside of family to really make a difference and spark that life-long love of learning in them.

3. Educators

Another great option in the early childhood field is to become one of our esteemed Educators.

Because when you become an Educator at any of our childcare centres across Australia, you’re making a commitment to give young children the very best start in life. And with our innovative, whole-child approach, you will have access to a world-class curriculum that focuses on providing support to children as they learn—instead of simply dictating information to them.

A typical day as an Educator with Guardian includes sparking each child’s curiosity, inspiring them to think deeper, watching them build confidence in their skills and abilities, and helping them develop a life-long love of learning.

4. Early Childhood Teachers

If you have a strong desire to work in the early childhood field and the education to back it up, obtaining a position as an Early Childhood Teacher with Guardian may just be the perfect fit for you.

Our degree-qualified teachers are passionate about the valuable role they play in the lives of young learners. And they tailor our world-class curriculum to meet the individual needs of each one of the children we serve.

In fact, Early Childhood Teachers at any of our childcare centres are given full autonomy to develop customized learning programs. They’re also given choice over which professional development paths to follow, have notable mentoring and support programs available to them, and even join leadership councils in order to collaborate with other professionals and participate in the decision-making process.

5. Educational Leaders

Looking for more of a leadership role at one of our childcare centres?

Educational Leaders at Guardian play a critical part in our leadership team. From developing new ways of teaching and learning to mentoring other educational professionals within our organisation, getting hired as an Educational Leader means that you have a true purpose that you can be proud of.

You’ll spend your days leading programming, building new skills, mentoring other professionals, and driving change through our leadership councils.

6. Assistant Centre Managers

You’ve been working hard, gaining valuable experiences, building your skills, and continuing to learn—and now you’re ready to become a leader in the early childhood education field.

That’s why our Assistant Centre Manager positions may be just what you need to move onto that important next step in your long career in childcare.

From creating safe and secure environments to influencing other educational professionals in positive ways, becoming an Assistant Centre Manager puts you in the position to help children, their families, and other team members thrive.

7. Centre Managers

Want to make a huge impact and use your unique strengths and abilities to lead others?

If so, you should consider becoming a Centre Manager at a Guardian centre near you. Our Centre Managers are a part of a nationwide team dedicated to providing both outstanding childcare and high-quality instruction to children throughout Australia.

Becoming a Centre Manager means that you’ll spend your days engaging with children, families, team members, and the local community. Plus, you’ll provide all of them with important resources and the right support at the right time.
