We've been to a number of childcares for all our kids and have been extremely impressed and happy with the team here. The programs that they've pushed for the kids, and the way they try to get parents and families involved has been the best that we've seen. Extremely happy, and very glad that this is the childcare that we picked for our youngest.

I honestly cannot fault the team at the Guardian. I haven’t known them long but they have done nothing but make me feel so welcome. The communication goes above and beyond and I have received only the best reviews from other mothers who’s children have been attending there for a long time. I look forward to my daughter enjoying her time there. Thank you for everything :)The above review was from when she started and that was in 2021. I have nothing but love for everyone there and she has done NOTHING but thrive there so I wanted to come and share that. She has learnt so much and tells me all about her day. Thank you for putting up with all my questions and I just cannot thank you all enough. :)

We randomly came across Guardian Childcare Gungahlin in the most bizarre way. At a car accident we met a lovely soul Michelle who noticed I was pregnant at the time. If half the staff are as amazing as she is we just knew our baby would be in good hands. From our phone call to booking in a tour, to meeting the Centre Manager Mardi, the head chef and Franklin the turtle - everyone was a joy to meet! My partner and I were so highly impressed with the level of professionalism and also the education (motor skills, learning emotions, etc) that is taught within the centre. You literally just need to drop your kid off, no need for nappies, food, water, it’s all provided. Bubby is only a newborn but once we are ready we definitely will be sending him to Guardian Gungahlin!

I love that it is a smaller centre compared to others that we have seen around and how my baby looks comfortable both at drop off and pick up. The educators are all really sweet and always come up with fun activities. The food is great as my baby always go back for seconds and thirds.

One thing I’m very happy about is that the service level that was presented to us during the enrolment process, has been a living reality. The centre is well managed and well rostered, so at any given time, there is someone in the office to answer any queries or phone calls if needed. The service has consistently met our expectations, and my boys have easily transitioned into their new environment. That brings me to the educators, and how wonder they are! They are observant and responsive to my sons social and emotional needs, which as a parent gives me great confidence in leaving my children in their care.On another note, I recently picked up my children. Whilst doing so, a fire evacuation occurred (false alarm). I was so impressed with how the staff calmly managed the children’s response to the alarms, and how organised they were in evacuating all children from the facility in such a short period. No stone was unturned, and after headcount and roll call everyone return inside and almost immediately, communication was sent out to all parents. Well done Guardian team!

Our son started at Guardian Gungahlin in January this year. In that time we as parents have continued to be impressed with the educators, the cook and management’s professionalism, honest communication, empathy and transparency. Our son is content, building relationships and extremely happy to attend each day. Thank you.

Love the team at Guardian Gungahlin. From the start during the tour, meeting the centre manager, all the way to when my son had his first day, and to now where he is fully settled we have always been so so happy. We have never had any issues and the centre has been so open to receiving ways my son would enjoy being at the centre. The team has been so accommodating, understanding and so patient with my little one. They all made us feel so comfortable leaving our son to their care by always giving a summary of how he went that day, what he ate, how much he ate and what he enjoyed doing that day. Can I just say, my son eats better than me when he’s at daycare. I see their full menu and what is planned for the week and I’m so jealous that I wish I can have the meals my son is having at daycare too! I can’t thank them enough! Overall, totally recommend this centre. Thank you for being my son’s ‘GUARDIAN’!

We have just had our second child finish daycare at Guardian Gungahlin due to him starting school next year. We have had the most amazing experience from the moment we started at the centre in 2016 right on up until this week, which was our youngest child's last week. We honestly cannot fault this centre, it is a beautiful small little community where the staff know all the children and their families. Our children were always provided with amazing meals and snacks and such great learning experiences. At every drop off we always knew our children were in the best hands. If you are looking for a daycare centre I HIGHLY recommend Guardian Gungahlin!

This centre is seriously amazing!!! We couldn't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a childcare centre. We've had our children at this centre for over 5 years and consider the staff at the centre to be a second family for our children. The staff are attentive, compassionate and go above and beyond in all aspects. They go to great lengths to ensure that our children are safe and that we are kept up to date with our children's day and learnings.

Both of my boys have been at Guardian Gungahlin for multiple years now and we have always been happy with the care provided by these professionals. The carers are amazing and always go out of their way to make sure they greet us as we enter the centre and room and they make you feel like one of the family. I particularly love the updates of their learning as they are frequent and informative, and the food provided is always varied and nutritious. My eldest was there from 9 months old until 4.5 when he left for school this year, and the carers still greet him with a big hug and a smile when he comes in - the care is genuine!

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.
