Having spent eight years in the early childhood sector, he’s passionate about children’s learning and development and loves the time he gets to spend with them each day. Her passion, commitment and talent in this sector was recently recognised at our Victorian Educator Awards Night where she won the coveted title of Educator of the Year. The Victorian Educators Awards Night held on Saturday 28 October was a huge success! The night gave Guardian the opportunity to thank our hard working Victorian team as well as shine the spotlight on some amazing educators’ and centres’ amazing achievements. It was the perfect chance to have fun with the team, meet other centre teams and have a whole lot of fun in the process.
Good nutrition is an important aspect of all our centres, so it’s no wonder that cooks are a vital part of the Guardian family. Recently, we held our QLD Educator Awards night where we awarded some true standouts at our centres. One such standout was Natasha Merckel, the cook at Guardian Early Learning Centre – Clayfield who was awarded QLD Cook of the Year.
Natasha has been with the centre almost since the beginning and has been integral in making the centre what it is today.
