Supporting Professional Development through Accelerated Teaching Degrees

At Guardian Childcare & Education, we are passionate about supporting the career progression of our early childhood educators.

One of the ways we support our educators looking to qualify as Early Childhood Teachers is through the ACU Accelerated Degree, a unique partnership we have with Australian Catholic University. This degree is offered exclusively to our Diploma-qualified early childhood educators who meet the selection criteria. This high-quality four year Early Childhood degree offers an accelerated completion timeframe of 18 months.

It’s a hugely rewarding challenge for our educators who enrol in this degree. We recognise the hard work and dedication it takes for our team members to further their education, and the real challenge of combining work and family commitments with study.

We ensure that our childcare educators who choose to undertake this degree are well-supported throughout their journey.

Placements are completed within our Guardian centres, providing our educators the opportunity to apply what they have been learning in a familiar, supportive environment.

Each ACU student is partnered with an experienced Guardian Teacher as a mentor. This mentoring program ensures that our educators have ongoing professional support and guidance, further enriching their learning experience.

We recently celebrated the first cohort of newly qualified Early Childhood Teachers graduating with this accelerated degree! Through a rigorous but rewarding journey, these dedicated childcare educators have achieved their Bachelor degrees in Early Childhood, in just 18 months. We are impressed by their commitment, and thrilled with their achievements.

Ivy, one of our Victorian educators, is one of these newly-graduated Teachers.
