Imagine starting your career in early childhood education as a trainee and progressing to a leadership role with a team that supports you every step of the way. At Guardian, this isn’t just a possibility; it’s a reality for those who aspire to be their best. We’re here to nurture your growth, celebrate your milestones, and help you achieve your career goals.
Paid traineeships: learn and earn
At Guardian, we believe in the power of learning by doing. That’s why we offer paid childcare traineeships where you can earn a qualification while gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. Whether you’re searching for a childcare traineeship in Sydney, Melbourne, or beyond, we have opportunities for you.
A trainee at Guardian can study towards a Certificate III or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC). You’ll receive on-the-job, workplace-based training delivered by a dedicated trainer during work hours. To support your study, Guardian provides paid training time, including a minimum of 12 hours per month, which covers three hours of training time and observation visits. You’ll also log your study time accurately using the Actively Working Towards Student Log, ensuring a seamless balance between work and learning.
We also offer a sponsored Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC50021) as part of our employee benefits package. For eligible Educators who already hold a Certificate III, this program is entirely free and provides paid study time alongside on-the-job training. Administered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), this qualification can even provide credits towards a bachelor’s degree for those who wish to continue their professional learning journey.
Throughout your training, you’ll learn from experienced Educators who are passionate about helping you succeed. From understanding child development to creating engaging learning programs, every day will bring new opportunities to grow.
Thrive: a program for best practice
