Celebrating Centre Leaders Day – the heart of our centres!

Centre Leaders Day

Unique to Guardian, a day to appreciate our amazing Centre Leaders across our centres!

Thursday 19 June is Centre Leaders Day, an initiative created by Guardian, now in its third year.  This unique celebration recognises the important role that our Centre Leadership Teams play in creating incredible centres for children, families, and their teams.

Our inspiring Centre Managers, Assistant Centre Managers, and Educational Leaders are driven by a passion for making a positive difference. They build centres with inspiring and nurturing environments where children thrive, families feel supported, and teams are empowered to be their best. We believe our Centre Leadership Teams are the beating heart of our centres.

We also recognise that being a Centre Leader is no small task. It’s a role filled with purpose and dedication, one that touches the lives of everyone who comes into their childcare centre. These leaders guide, mentor, and build a culture of collaboration and positivity. Their impact extends beyond the day-to-day of their centre, as they shape the professional journeys of Educators and Teachers, while ensuring each child is supported to learn and grow.

A Celebration created by Guardian to Recognise our Amazing Leaders

This commitment doesn’t go unnoticed. That’s why we created Centre Leaders Day as our special opportunity to shine a spotlight on the incredible work of our Centre Leadership Teams.

On Centre Leaders Day, centres across our network come alive with celebrations. From handwritten notes of gratitude to gift packs and tributes shared online, each centre brings its own unique flair to the day. Messages from families, team members, and Guardian leadership are always heartfelt:

  • “What you all do each and every day is so inspiring! So grateful to work alongside such passionate, thoughtful, and motivated leaders!” – Daniel, Portfolio Manager
  • “Thank you for your positive mindsets and openness to support and collaboration. What a privilege it is to see the difference you make in the lives of educators, children, and families!” – Liz, Curriculum Mentor
  • “Thank you to every Guardian Leader who makes every team member, child, and family feel valued and inspired.” – Kathryn, Chief Quality & Curriculum Officer

Setting up our Centre Leaders for success at Guardian

Leadership at Guardian is more than just a role, it’s a journey of growth and impact. To set our leaders up for success, we developed Thrive, a framework designed to empower our Centre Leaders to create confident, happy, and successful teams. Thrive provides tools and strategies to effectively support centre leadership, creating smoother day-to-day operations.

We support team members in achieving meaningful career progression with ongoing opportunities. Take a look at our Professional Development opportunities here. Our team members also have access to incredible benefits that are part of working here at Guardian.

Leadership starts with our Mindsets

At its core, leadership begins with our mindsets —the choice to show up brave, thoughtful, positive and professional each day. Even on challenging days, we know our strong leader fosters an environment that uplifts their team and supports every child’s growth.

To our Centre Leaders, we want to say: Your work in creating these amazing centres is invaluable. You inspire, guide, and make a positive difference every single day for children, families and the teams you guide and mentor. Thank you for your dedication and for making our centres a second home for so many.

If you’re passionate about leading with purpose and want to join a team where your contributions are truly valued, explore your career opportunities at Guardian. Together, we can create environments where children, families, and educators thrive.
