Our Flying Start to School program provides a specialised 2-year curriculum for children aged 3 to 5. Our unique program has two stages - Becoming Me for 3 year olds and Being Me for 4 year olds. I placed my daughter in this centre in October 2024. Having moved from NZ in mid 2024, Monica needed a place that made her feel like she belonged and to make new friends. We enrolled our baby to Guardian Point Cook West from another Guardian branch as we moved. Initially I was really worried thinking it would be hard for my baby to get adjusted to the new place. But soon I’ve experienced that the educators here are providing excellent care for children and they helped my baby to feel comfortable and have a smooth transition. Great atmosphere for the childcare facility with such a caring staff. Very happy with the development of our youngest one currently attending there and couldn't be happier with the services offered by the centre management. The staff looks after the kids and provides regular updates on their development journey. They particularly helped us during the settling down period and have been very communicative on regular basis and uploads to Story Park. We highly recommend this Childcare facility to families who are looking for one in the market!

Love love love this childcare. My bub has been here for 2 months now and she’s loving it. She didn’t really take long to settle and feels the connection with her educators. Every morning before I drop her, she’s super excited to go to the center, waves bye and doesn’t even turn around; she’s only 14 months old. We enrolled our 2 children with Guardian since January and it sure has been the best choice we’ve made. Our children loves being at care and our Kinder daughter always have something exciting to tell us.The management (Danii, Alicia & Steph) and staff are the best. My two children have attended this centre for 2 years, and have never had a bad interaction or experience. We were sold on the centre as soon as we entered and saw the genuine happiness of all staff and children.The learning programs the centre runs are based on sustainability and wellbeing, of both staff and the children, and the effectiveness of these are clear from the joy my children express when they come home, and the conversations we have regularly with staff.We get daily written and photo updates of our childrens' learning journeys, and it is clear the staff are committed to their work and to the children.

We have just joined the Guardian Childcare & Kinder Centre and absolutely so pleased we did as it’s only down the road, from the very beginning of our tour it has given myself as well as my husband reassurance while our Son attends that he is in the best care. Considering this is his first year into any type of care. He absolutely LOVES IT !! The learning behind scenes and being amongst other children as this is a great stepping stone for preparation for school come next year. It’s nice to see that the children are valued, greeted by the kindest staff and educators. They do a FANTASTIC job !!! THERE IS NO BETTER CHILDCARE CENTRE!Honestly, having worked in the field, as well as our son being enrolled in two other centers before we relocated to the area, my expectations were extremely high. The staff at Guardian Point Cook West always go above and beyond that even from our very first interaction we were extremely impressed.Their professionalism, timely communication, thoughtfulness, and CARE is unmatched. Our son's development and growth in the last six months after joining the PCW family is extremely evident. Family is the best word to describe the centre as they always make such an effort to not only connect with our son, but us as parents as well. Even during the ever-stressful lockdown times, they took further efforts to keep us all informed.The activities and play areas are always so engaging. The educators send us weekly activity plans so we know what projects they are working on. We get daily photos and updates. The menu always has such a variety and must taste good as our soon often has double serves. All the different pets they have. The list goes on.We are so so grateful to have joined the PCW family and we can never thank them enough for the happy confident little boy they are helping us raise, so hopefully this review can help other families make as great as a decision as we have.

The best childcare ever! We have sent our son for more than 1 year! Couldn’t be happier with the centre, especially educators! They are the best at their profession, our family highly respects their work! My wife and I had been to 7+ centres for a tour and decided to send our son to this centre! It was the right/best decision. We really think some educators at this centre are the world’s best (by the way, we have also sent our son to 3 other places like a day care, 3 years kindergarten, another childcare previously). Love this centre! My daughter started care from10mos and now she’s two and definitely love seeing and being with her educators n gained friendships!We have been pleased with the level of care Guardian Pointcook has provided my daughter. We researched many daycare facilities within the area and selected this because of their high-quality curriculum from Explorers (previous centre) until now.She definitely enjoyed her time there very much and my husband and I have been incredibly impressed with their nurturing caring and professional approach to child care. After visiting over 10 different child care centers in the Point Cook area my partner and I found that Explorers Early Learning had immediately won us over. Explorers is warm, inviting, and has a homely feel. The educators and staff are awesome at what they do and have such nurturing natures which is what we loved most overall. Words are not enough to say how grateful we are to find the perfect centre for our beautiful daughter. She has been in the Point Cook centre for 4 years and she will be graduating at the end of the year. All the educators are highly dedicated, intentional and motivated. They have supported my child in every way and management have been very helpful all this years too. I just moved from Pakenham and was looking at nearly 12 childcares before I got to Explorers. I loved it the mom I enetered it and the staffs are very nice. Getting in was tough but once you’re in, it’s worth the wait. My daughter loves it and they’ve made her transition into this new place easy for her. I’d recommend this place hands down. I’m so impressed with the way they handle kids, the food is amazing and ambience is clean n fun. I’m going to join my second child as well here soon. Thanks for the super job u guys do everyday 😊👍🏼

Words are not enough to say just how happy we are with Explorers. My son started very shy and quiet, and has blossomed into a confident and inquisitive young boy in just 1 year! I love how their programs have so much room for open learning, problem solving and activities to support their strengths.But the best part of it all is how they support children, including my son who has special needs. The care that educators provide are tailored fit to cater each child. The management and the educators always go out of their way to accommodate the children and the families. We've had our daughter here for 2 years and couldn't be happier. Every member of the staff we've encountered is genuinely caring and loves the kids. Our daughter has learnt so much more than we could have taught her from being at this centre. It's further away from our house than other places but we would really struggle to pull our daughter out of such a great environment. Cannot recommend enough.

I love this Centre. A few months ago I enrolled my two kids in this centre and I could already see how much my kids learn from them. Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

Daily Fee Information

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2025. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Holly, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:


  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

What are the main features of this Centre

  • Recently refurbished, our Centre features exciting outdoor play spaces that children love, including a large sandpit, vegetable gardens, and natural climbing structures.
  • We’re Exceeding! What does that mean? Every six months, our Centres are assessed by ACECQA, the national body with the responsibility for monitoring the quality of all registered child care centres in Australia. A rating of Exceeding National Quality Standard means that you can be assured that this Centre is providing an exceptional level of care and attention for your child.
  • Guardian Childcare & Education Point Cook West is bursting with incredible resources in both the indoor and outdoor environments. In addition to light-filled indoor spaces, there are three large outdoor areas for each age group.
  • The Centre offers two fortnightly incursions, every second Monday is Hey De Ho (a music and movement workshop) & every second Friday is Sports for Kinders.
  • Guardian Point Cook West also includes a thriving community garden and a number of loving pets for the children to enjoy and learn from.
  • As part of our outstanding commitment to high quality care and education, children and families at Guardian Point Cook West also have the benefit of a Kindergarten Program led by quality Teachers who are there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to school.
