Welcome to our Centre

Guardian Childcare & Education Point Cook South is a newly refurbished, light-filled and homely Childcare Centre with a range of spacious indoor and outdoor areas designed to inspire curiosity and exploration.

Our Point Cook South child care centre boasts with three custom-designed yards with vegetable gardens, fruit trees, mud pits, a wooden tepee, natural play structures and a range of other age-specific play areas.

Our Point Cook childcare centre offers:

Our long day care centre in Point Cook is conveniently situated for families living in and near the surrounding suburbs of Hoppers Crossing, Truganina, Werribee and Seabrook.

Children are supported through those important early years to explore and develop their social and emotional skills through their early learning journey by a dedicated team of university-qualified Teachers and Educators. They create learning experiences in a nurturing environment that fosters creativity and imagination in a safe environment for young age groups.

Our Educators understand the importance of building strong relationships with families to provide a secure learning environment for all children across each age group. They support and encourage children to learn problem-solving and develop self-confidence and social skills based on genuine care and high-quality learning environments.

At Guardian Point Cook South, the children get out and about on regular excursions to the local supermarket, the zoo, and Featherbrook Primary School, which form an important part of our Kindergarten Program. Each kindergarten room is led by a university-qualified Early Childhood Teacher who is there to help prepare your child for the exciting transition to primary school.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2025. Ask us for more information when you visit our Centre.

As part of our community focus, we also have a dedicated parent café in our reception area, where parents can snack on coffee and cakes throughout the day as they do pick-up and drop-off.

Supported by a dedicated team of university-qualified early Childhood Teachers and experienced Educators, our Point Cook South child care Centre provides an inclusive learning environment where children are supported to be bold, creative, and curious in their learning journey. Children attending our Centre will also have the chance to see the same familiar faces as they move on up from our nursery room, into kindergarten program, designed specifically to help prepare your child to transition from early learning to primary school.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families have the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of their child’s learning. Easily accessible for families, our Learning Exchange Display provides the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share with you any updates on their progress every day. You will also have the chance to share with us your own personal goals and visions for us to implement, having direct input in your child’s educational journey!

Families will also be given access to our family communication app Storypark, where we will share with you any significant updates in your child’s day, as well as any other important updates that happen in the centre – ensuring that you’re always connected, even when you’re not here.

Our on-site cook prepares fresh meals in the Centre every day, using seasonal ingredients often collected by the children from our on-site vegetable and herb gardens. The Centre also hosts regular hands-on cooking classes for the children, which extends their understanding of where food comes from and how to establish healthy habits for life.

My experience was great. All thanks to Munfarah and her amazing team. Being the first time mum, I was so anxious sending my 10 months old but the way Mumfarah took care of my son made my anxiety levels way down. Not only that, to make me feel relaxed she also post some photos of my son separately in the post which I was soo relieved to see. Since the new management joined, we’ve noticed such a positive change at the centre! Pree, Rachel, and the team have created a warm and well-organized environment where children truly thrive. My child started at this childcare centre a week ago, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience so far. As a first-time parent, I was quite anxious about the transition, but the center manager, Pree, has been incredibly approachable and supportive. From centre tour, to transition sessions, to my son starting care here was all of 1 week. They were very quick to get everything sorted for our family when we needed care quickly and my son has settled in better than expected. He enjoys going and being in care and he is always learning new things. It has also helped us in getting him to a more manageable routine at home, including dropping his need to contact nap which has been super helpful. Amazing staff amazing management earlier Emily and Now Asma.. very efficient and on top of everything running the centre so smoothly. They are all ears for any problems that we parents might have and rectify it right away. All three of my children have been under their care and I have seen only improvement. My daughter attended the Toddler 2 classroom and she had a great experience with her classmates and the teachers.She was shy and had a hard time at first, but she was able to open up and express herself thanks to the educators who provided much needed support for our daughter.They have good education programs and the educators clearly well took care of our daughter.We really appreciate the effort and care provided by the educators! My son has been going to the care for almost 2 years now. I think the care has great team of people working there. The management and educators in the care are kind, and always listening to what your needs are. This is not easy when you have so many kids and parents around :) I have seen my son growing with confidence, learning to eat solid foods and speaking clearly to all. I see all this to be very positive. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Lucky to have found this, and trust me we have checked a few before we finally settled here. one of the best decisions as a parent.

My daughter went to this child care for 4 years and now my Son goes there for 3 days a week. Can't be more happier and satisfied. At no stage my son felt uneasy or out of the place. His eating habits have improved and has been toilet trained as well. Great staff and great centre to send your kids.

It is an absolutely great place for toddlers. As a parent I highly recommend this place for your little ones.Guardian Childcare Point Cook South has very caring, warm and understanding stuff members which makes me feel very comfortable to leave my baby boy there given I am a 1st time parent. Guardian provides daily updates on routine chart as well as photos towards the end of each day. It is the most enjoyable thing to see these updates about what my little boy has done and learned at Guardian.

Our daughter (age 1) has not only been nurtured and well-cared for but also grown in confidence as a young learner. The staff are beyond professional, caring and great teachers. There are a variety of activities offered, including music, art and outdoors. They respect a child’s individual needs and are proactive in communicating with family. i truly Love this place. My son has been attending for a few months now and I love it. Everyone from admin like Kim and Simone are totally helpful and accomodating. I couldn’t trust my son to anyone like I trust Steff and Beth they are the dream team. Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

Pree and team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Pree, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
