What the role involves:

1. Compliance and Quality Verification

  • Description: Verify compliance and quality standards against the NQF and our organisational standards (e.g., National Quality Standard, Education and Care Services National Regulations, Guardian Centre Presentations and Resource Workbook etc).
  • Key Tasks:
    • Conduct both scheduled and unscheduled centre visits (full or partial quality assessments)
    • Conduct comprehensive reviews of documentation, practices, and physical environments, and compile findings into a digital quality assurance report to support rating determinations and guide targeted improvement planning
    • Identify key strengths, areas of non-compliance, and quality indicators during centre visits, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement and prioritisation
    • Clearly communicate emerging trends and findings to all relevant stakeholders, including Centre Managers, Regional Managers, and Portfolio Managers.

2. Fact Finding

  • Description: Undertake fact-finding processes related to child harm complaints, or incidents where the allegations relate to a Centre Manager or where the Centre Manager Role is currently vacant
  • Key Tasks:
    • Interview team members and relevant stakeholders
    • Collect and analyse evidence to support next steps
    • Write clear, evidence-based reports using Guardian templates and guidelines

3. Capability Building and Compliance Knowledge

  • Description: Support teams in understanding and meeting compliance and quality expectations by identifying gaps and delivering targeted guidance and education
  • Key Tasks:
    • Communicate findings in a constructive, strength-based manner
    • Facilitate workshops, webinars, or other forms of support to build network capability
    • Develop and share best practice examples and educational materials
    • Provide improvement feedback on policy and all associated processes, tools, and resources to improve quality

4.  Collaboration and Team Engagement

  • Description:  Effectively contribute to both national and state-level quality and compliance objectives through strong collaboration, communication, and alignment with cross-functional teams
  • Collaborate effectively as part of the national Quality Assurance and Quality and Curriculum Team to ensure consistent application of standards, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and share insights across our national network
  • Actively engage with the state-based network team to align quality assurance practices with local operational needs, support implementation and embedding of improvement initiatives and contribute to state improvement strategies.

Required Early Childhood Experience & Qualifications:

•ACECQA approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care (Diploma or higher)
•A minimum of 5 years working in the Australian Early Childhood Sector in a Centre Leadership Position
