As a new parent to Guardian I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience so far. The educators are accommodating, supportive and welcoming. The curriculum they recently rolled out To Be Me has been a great addition to the service. I have been told all about my child’s progress such as how he is becoming a good friend, to be a writer and learning about his developmental pathways. I believe it’s a great way to get parents involved in the education side of childcare. Thank you to the team for the hard work that goes into caring for our young ones.

I can’t recommend Guardian Tarneit Grand Central enough! My daughter absolutely loves going every day, she runs in with a big smile, which says it all. The educators are so caring and really take the time to get to know each child. I also love the To Be Me program they’re introducing; it’s such a beautiful idea and really makes each child feel seen and valued.

I’m very happy with Guardian Childcare. The To Be Me topics are incredibly helpful and have given me a deeper understanding of my child’s learning and development. They’ve helped me see how thoughtfully educators support each child’s growth and communicate meaningfully with families. I truly appreciate the care, guidance, and dedication the Guardian team provides to help children learn, grow, and feel confident every day. I’m also grateful to the management team, who are always welcoming and warm whenever we enter the centre.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your beautiful review Sathish! We're thrilled to hear how much you've connected with our To BE Me program. Each child having their own 'My Learning and Development Book' ensures families can easily follow their child’s progress along our Learning and Development Pathways. We’re so glad you’ve felt the care, guidance, and dedication from our educators and management team, it’s wonderful to know that the thoughtful support we aim to provide every day is making a meaningful difference for your family. Thank you again for being part of our community!

Our son is in the Toddlers room and we are so happy with the care and learning he receives. Every afternoon he comes home excited to share what he has been learning with his amazing teachers, Alex, Chut and Siri. This week he was proudly showing us his counting and number knowledge, which was so lovely to see.

We can really see the To Be Me curriculum in action. The daily Storypark posts that link to the developmental pathways help us understand the learning behind the play, and we truly feel that his growth and development are being valued.

Thank you to the wonderful team for everything you do. We are very grateful.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your lovely feedback Jamie! We’re really happy to hear how well your son is settling into the Toddlers room and that he’s excited to share his learning each day, that’s exactly the kind of joy and curiosity we love to see. Alex, Chut and Siri will be thrilled to know they’ve made such a positive impact. It’s also great to hear that the To Be Me curriculum is coming through clearly in his experiences, and that the Storypark updates are helping you connect with the learning journey. We want families to feel informed and involved, so it’s wonderful to know that’s been your experience. Thanks again for your kind words and support. We’re so grateful to have your family as part of our community!

We’ve had such a great experience with this childcare centre so far. From day one, both my daughter and I have felt welcome and supported. The centre is always clean, and the educators have taken the time to really get to know my daughter and understand how to help her feel happy and calm.

I also recently attended their kinder information session, and it was fantastic to see how thoughtfully they structure the program to prepare kids for primary school. As a primary school teacher myself, I feel confident that my child will be well supported through their kindergarten years and will start school feeling ready and confident.
Response from the owner:Thank you Jessica! We’re so happy to hear that you and your daughter have felt so welcomed and supported—it truly means the world to us. Our team works hard to create a warm, clean, and caring environment where every child feels safe and happy, so it’s lovely to know that’s been your experience. It’s also wonderful to hear that the kinder info session gave you confidence in our program—especially coming from a fellow educator! We’re so grateful to have your family as part of our community and can’t wait to keep supporting your daughter as she grows and gets ready for her next big adventure: school!

I recently toured Guardian Tarneit Grand Central and had such a wonderful experience. My eldest daughter attended another Guardian centre, so I was thrilled to hear that one was opening up in our local area.

The tour with Stephanie was incredibly informative, and it was beautiful to see the thoughtfully designed classrooms, the amazing range of toys, and the intentional learning experiences planned for the children.

I’ve also had the chance to attend some of the stay-and-play sessions and a menu tasting with my son — and we’ve yet to leave without him saying he doesn’t want to go home! He’s already so comfortable and excited, and I’m really looking forward to him beginning his journey at Guardian Tarneit Grand Central.
Response from the owner:Thanks so much for your lovely review! We’re so happy to hear you had a great experience touring our centre — and how wonderful that your family is already part of the Guardian community! Stephanie will be thrilled to hear your kind words, and we’re glad your son is loving the stay-and-play sessions (we always love hearing that kids don’t want to leave!). We can’t wait to welcome him officially and be part of his learning journey. See you again soon!

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

Tarneit Grand Central Centre Manager Image

Tegan and team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Tegan, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.

What are the main features of this Centre

Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
