Guardian Point Cook North is a great place for children. As someone in education, I have high standards for the types of activities and learning opportunities for my child and the Staff at Guardian haven’t disappointed. Before enrolling my daughter, in fact before the tour, I was about to witness how some of the staff interact with children without them knowing who I was. I saw Becky offer help to a young child in the yard who had just started crying – her response time was under 1 minute. Becky assessed the situation that quickly and as a parent that immediately made me feel confident in the centre. Since being at Guardian my daughter has had Becky, Lili, Sam, Ritu, Melba and Ayesha and all these lovely ladies haven’t disappointed. The activities they carefully plan are fun and engaging – I can tell my daughter loves them with the beautiful smiling photos on Story Park daily. All of these ladies have provided clear handover at the end of the day and listen to any requests or concerns.

In the morning, at drop-off staff who don’t work in my daughters room, greet her by name and it is obvious that they know her and she is comfortable with them. Phuong is often present in the morning during drop off and the whether in the room or in the hallway she always makes an effort to say good morning to my child and check in with how she is going. It’s reassuring as a parent to see my child smile and obviously feel like she belongs even if is tries to hide the smile from Phuong. We really appreciate how much easier the morning are with all the support of staff and the work they do to help transition the kids in on the bad mornings.

Joy, who is in the Kinder room, brings a bright and bubbly energy to the centre and has an amazing caring nature with the children. If you want your child to feel connected to a community and be ready for school, Joy is the kind of person you want. As a teacher, I love the little things that she embeds in her room to help the children get ready for school.

All the staff members at Guardian Point Cook North are clearly visible and consistently engaged with the children.

I’ve completed my 1st placement (3-5 years age group) in the center and a big thank you goes to Chamarie and Savi for offering me this opportunity. Also My mentor Shubh, along with the other educators was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout this journey.

On the other hand, the center had a warm and welcoming environment and filled with engaging learning spaces for the children. And it was well organized which created a positive atmosphere for both the children and the staff. I really appreciated the teamwork and the helpful guidance I’ve received.

This childcare centre is out of this world! Wonderful pastoral care provided by the teaching staff which make children feel like there is a home away from home. The management are very understanding towards families. Regular activities are run for children to experience different cultures and cultural sensitivity is applied towards children's requirements. Savi and other leaders have positive energy and are passionate about their work.

Our son commenced with Guardian in Point Cook North late last year as we had recently moved from another state. Guardian Point Cook North is a big part of his development in terms of socialization, speech, and expression of emotions. He slowly transitioned from being shy to being very expressive and playful. His teachers and carers are genuinely nice and I can say that he is well looked after at all times. He cries a little during drop offs but is a very happy little man during pick ups. Everyone in the centre, from Savi to the teacher and carers and up to the chef are very approachable. Moreover, the management also maintain a close line of communication with the parents. They always do their best to cater to every child’s individual needs. Can’t wait to see more of what our little man achieves in the following months with their guidance. ❤️

Guardian Childcare North has been an incredible experience for our family! The educators are absolutely amazing! so caring, professional, and deeply dedicated to the children. My son loves going every day, and he constantly surprises me with how much he’s learning and improving. His confidence, social skills, and curiosity have grown so much.

What makes this place even more special is the close connection between the educators and families. They genuinely care and make such an effort to build strong relationships, keeping us informed and involved in every step of our child’s development. Every time I ask the educators something about my son, they can answer my questions straight away, which shows how well they know and care for him. I’m so grateful to the educators for creating such a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.

Five stars? No way! I’d give them 10 stars if I could. If you enroll your kids here, parents can truly relax, relieve stress, and focus on their work knowing their children are in the best hands. Highly, highly recommend!

My son has been attending Guardian Point Cook North for approx. 2 years. I am beyond happy with his current room and educators. Phuong, Michelle and Naima are absolute treasures.

Phuong constantly provides feedback on my son’s development and education without me having to prompt / ask. She genuinely cares and I really appreciate the time she invests in communicating with parents. Big bonus: my son also thinks she is the bees knees!

Naima is such a caring, warm and beautiful soul. The children adore her & I love watching my son’s face brighten when she enters the room.

Michelle’s clear communication and kind nature are an asset to the centre.

Leadership at the centre is also fantastic - Nubi and Lauren do a tremendous job.

One of the best childcare centres in the area. Both my girls were in their care for over two years and I was amazed at the quality of care they received. Joy and the team at Quokka room are incredible, their program is so rich and engaging, the room is beautiful, so many learning spaces. My daughter learnt so so much, her teachers made her feel so safe and loved, and supported us through any challenges.
Her program was amazing, children are learning other languages, sign language, songs (my personal favourite), dance and movement, literacy, numeracy, gardening, breeding snails - you name it. I could really tell that they are passionate about what they do.
Wombat room staff were great and my little one enjoyed her time there. They are very attentive and get to know your child, staff always let you know how your little one’s day went. Room leader Shreya always found time to communicate with me and my husband at pick up time to talk about my daughter’s learning and development, and we really valued their room staff’s approach to communication with families and their genuine care.
Centre manager Nubi always had time to talk to us and assist with any questions, my feedback was always taken seriously.
Very happy with the quality of care this centre offers.

At Guardian Point Cook North, quality education and care are provided by the team. All educators and management are very dedicated to their responsibilities, and there is clear and open communication between them and their families. They pay great attention to children's independent thinking and development abilities and provide children support from the very start to be a confident citizen.
A complete education is provided to children which includes excursions, incursions, teaching foreign languages, sports programs and many more. Every day parents receive information about the day with children's photos videos and other necessary information.

My family have been with this centre over the past 8 years. The educators are caring and dedicated to children, the programs are well planned ahead with lots of learning happening. The rooms are equipped with lots of open ended resources for children to play and explore. They well look after children’s health and wellbeing by providing wide variety of food and snack. The centre organise weekly incursion, special events and festival throughout the year, and connect children and family with local community through well organised excursions. It was my first time to enroll my child in a childcare and the center was above and beyond my expectations. Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Natasha, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

It sets easy to follow Development Pathways and encompasses our educational programs, room set-ups, daily rhythms and the way we support your child.

Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.
