Strong, trusted relationships between children, families and our passionate Educators set the foundation and the opportunity for children to thrive.

The heart of our Centre is a piazza where parents and children gather for family breakfast each morning, served by our on-site cook who prepares a range of delicious and nutritious meals fresh daily. We also offer hands-on cooking experiences for the children to further their nutrition knowledge and encourage them to try new foods.

We are proud to have such a culturally diverse team of Educators and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays in our Centre throughout the year. As part of our community focus, the children enjoy excursions into the local neighbourhood to locations such as local cafes and parks and visit the families who work in our complex. We’re passionate about connections, communication and being an active part of our local community at our day care in Mulgrave East.

Children attending our early learning centre will also have the chance to see the same familiar faces as they move on up from our nursery room, into our Kindergarten program, designed specifically to help prepare your child to transition from early learning to school. All our learning programs align with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

To stay connected with their child’s educational activities, families will have access to our family communication app Storypark. Here, we will share any significant updates on your child’s day today and any other important updates that happen in the Centre.

We value the role of families as a child’s first teacher. We’re committed to developing trusting relationships by listening and responding to families about all aspects of their child’s learning and development. So, our approach is focused on the latest research and insights into how children learn best and the specific skills they will need to thrive.

Our unique program of Visible Learning allows families to witness their child’s progress first-hand. The Learning Exchange is a display in each learning space showing what your child is doing on any given day. Here, our Teachers and Educators will share with you any significant updates on your child’s development and your child’s education and provide the chance for you to share your own goals and visions – providing direct input into your child’s educational journey!

I took my daughter to Mulgrave East Kindergarten for 8 months, but unfortunately, due to moving, I had to take my daughter from this kindergarten to a kindergarten near our new place of residence. However, this kindergarten, its management by Annu Nadan nice manager, and all its kind staff are excellent and unique. In terms of education, entertainment, meals, and care, they are truly number one, and I strongly recommend this kindergarten to everyone.💗🌷

One of the best centre in south East. It's bit far from my workplace but I don't mind to drive because worth it. They are very good at communication and looking after the children . The new manager Annu is doing really good specially in meeting the parents expectations. I am very grateful to the Kinder teacher team Michele and Sawinsa as they are very sure what they are doing. I never had to think what my daughter doing or eating because I know they will do every possible things to make her feel welcome and valued through the day. I am so glad that my daughter found this team. And I will highly recommend this centre .

We feel incredibly grateful that our child is part of such an exceptionally inclusive kindergarten program. The educators consistently ensure that our child's individual learning needs are prioritized, while also providing regular updates about their daily progress and activities. Their team is not only highly professional but also deeply responsive to our family's specific needs, which makes us feels like we are part of child’s learning. We couldn’t ask for a more dedicated and communicative early learning experience!

We've had a fantastic experience at Guardian Mulgrave East. The educators are great, they are nurturing, attentive and kind - they made the transition to child care seamless and we were thrilled that our daughter felt so comfortable in the centre so quickly. She has learned so much since starting at Guardian. We are so sad to leave the centre (due to moving house) otherwise we would have continued on; our daughter is always so excited when we arrive and runs into the room. Thank you for everything.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.
