My son has been attending for the last few years and the team there are amazing. They go above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and safe. He always leaves with a smile on his face. And talks about his educators non stop at home in a very positive way.

Hearing that he leaves with a smile and speaks so positively about his educators is exactly what we strive for. Thank you for sharing your experience!

My daughter loves coming here. The staff are awesome, although some of their sporting teams they follow are questionable. If you can manage to look past that, though, they have great communication with myself and my wife, and we couldn't be happier with how they're helping with my daughter's development
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your kind words! We're happy to hear that your daughter enjoys her time with us. Our team takes great pride in fostering a positive and supportive environment for all our students. We appreciate your sense of humour about our staff's choice in sports teams—it's all in good fun! Most importantly, we're glad to know that our communication and dedication to your daughter's development have made a positive impact.

My son has been attending for the past three years, and more recently, my daughter joined two months ago. From the very beginning, our experience has been nothing short of amazing.

The staff at Guardian are warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being and development of the children. I would especially like to give a shout-out to Tia, Tilly, Bronte, Simran and Belinda for the outstanding care, patience, and support they’ve shown. They’ve each made a lasting impact on my son and daughters growth and happiness, and I am so grateful for their dedication.

A special mention also goes to Shan at the front desk, who is always welcoming, helpful, and an absolute delight to interact with. Her friendly presence sets the tone for each day and reflects the positive and supportive environment that Guardian consistently provides.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! It's wonderful to know that both your son and daughter have thrived under the care of our dedicated team. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words to Tia, Tilly, Bronte, Simran, Belinda, and Shan. They will be delighted to hear that their efforts have made such a meaningful impact on your children's growth and happiness. Your appreciation truly means a lot to us and motivates us to continue providing the best possible environment for all the children in our care.

Our daughter has been with Platypus Junction Langwarrin South for about a year now and I couldn't speak more highly of them. I currently have two children attending platypus junction Langwarrin south (kinder and toddler)and I cannot speak highly of enough of all the staff with whom I come into contact with. We are always updated thoroughly and specifically of our children’s’ wellbeing and activities performed throughout the day.
The staff are incredibly warm and supportive of our children’s’ physical, emotional and social needs and I feel incredibly at ease dropping them off :-)

Our son has been at Platypus Langwarrin Sth since they opened earlier this year and we could not be happier with the decision we made in moving here.
The standard of care, the curriculum and the updates/communication to parents can only be described as exemplary.
Our son LOVES going to his ‘new daycare’ which is a stark contrast to his prior centre. He happily chats about his friends and the fun things he has done that day.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.

Our Learning Programs

Learning should be fun! Learning through play encourages children to explore and understand their world at their own pace. It helps build their knowledge, develop confidence, and embrace curiosity.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
