We cannot speak highly enough of Guardian Early Learning Centre in Box Hill North. Our bubba who’s now 15 months old, has been attending for several months, and our experience has been nothing short of wonderful.

From the very first tour, we were struck by the warmth of the educators and the vibrant, stimulating environment.

What truly sets Guardian Box Hill North apart is their incredible team. The educators are not just caregivers; they are genuinely invested in each child's development and happiness. They know bubs’ unique personality, interests, and routines intimately. We receive detailed daily updates via the Storypark app, which gives us such peace of mind.

The curriculum is fantastic. It's more than just play; it's purposeful and tailored. We've watched in amazement as our child's confidence, curiosity, and skills have blossomed—from messy sensory play and music sessions to developing early social skills in the beautiful outdoor spaces.

The centre management is also excellent—very professional, communicative, and always open to feedback. They foster a real sense of community.

We are so grateful to have found this extended family for our most precious little one.

Impressed with our tour in this centre with Sue. She’s been very patient and very thorough with details as she was showing us around. Not only is it newly opened with modern facilities, but also tidy, organised, well-lit and ventilated. It’s quite a big centre, with a wide range of ways to learn and play both indoors and outdoors for babies and toddlers. Staff were warm and welcoming too. We havent exprienced their services firsthand yet as we only did the tour, but have no reasons why we cant have our bub placed in here. Five stars!

UPDATE:
7 months in and our son is doing great! Thanks to the lovely and creative educators and staff in the nursery. I like how our son is able to do activities and tasks that he enjoys and are developmentally appropriate for him. I as a parent am always excited to see the photos in Storypark and see what they did for the day.

I am impressed with Guardian Childcare at Box Hill North. It's really amazing. The educators here are passionate and genuinely care about each child. There are diverse activities every day. Every Tuesday they also have a half hour happy feet activity. All the children love it. Drop-offs and pick-ups are always smooth, and communication is excellent—the whole environment truly feels warm and happy.

We couldn't believe our luck when this centre opened. It wasn't too far, it was new, and it had vacancies for the days we wanted. And more importantly, it was GOOD.

The educators are simply amazing and extremely caring, especially important in the first few days with bubs adjusting to the new environment. The management team are prompt, clear and thorough with their communication and processes. No stone is left unturned.

There are also a myriad of activities that the kids can participate in that help to stimulate their learning and development. Our little one certainly gets excited about the different things they get to do.

All in all, we're very glad we found such an amazing place where our child can thrive. 10/10

Very good childcare. My twins enjoyed so much. The best one we had so far. The manager Kiran is so inspiring and intellegant. The teachers are great to kids. Even though its a young centre,the staff here are motivated and passionate about what they do. Honestly the best childcare my kids have attended and toured.

The staff are really friendly, the atmosphere is great, and there are so many activities that's awesome for the kids. I love how the staff keep me upto date about my daughter so I dont have to worry so much when I'm working. It's just a beautiful centre with great staff. Lovely brand new service! As soon as you enter there is a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The educators are warm, friendly, approachable, and listen to families needs. Children are encouraged and supported in sharing their voice through choices in their learning opportunities.

Very impressed with the Guardian Box Hill North centre. I've explored multiple kindergartens in the area but Guardian Box Hill North stands out from the rest – will definitely be sending my daughter here. The staff are lovely – super friendly, truly care for the wellbeing of the children and are highly experienced and knowledgeable. And the classrooms and outdoor areas are set up beautifully with lovely toys, furniture and design. Strongly recommend.

This is a good centre that doesn't update a flood of photos in 'story park' as if your child is in an Instagram modelling boot. If you are big on photos, don't go. Children here seem well-fed, rested and participating in inclusive group activities. Staff members have a none-for-profit work ethic; the operational team is attentive and responsive. Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

Controlling Access to our Centres

  • Multiple levels of security in all centres
  • All visitors must sign in and present photo ID before entry
  • All tradespeople must provide a WWCC & complete Guardian-specific induction.

Daily Fee Information

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Families will save up to $2,101 a year for children aged three-years-old and above in eligible long day cares in 2025. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:


  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.
