Absolutely the best childcare we could have asked for!

Our daughter has been attending this centre for the past three years, and we are incredibly grateful for everything the team has done for her. The entire staff is warm, caring, and genuinely loves the children. Their approach is very human-centred — full of patience, kindness, and professionalism.

Not only is the education excellent, but the emotional and social support they provide is outstanding. We have watched our daughter grow with confidence, curiosity, and happiness thanks to the nurturing environment the centre has created.

Every teacher here goes above and beyond. They truly know and care for each child as an individual. We always felt at ease knowing she was in such good hands.

Our son has been at Guardian Box Hill for a while now, and the growth we’ve seen has been incredible. He learns quickly, he’s happy, and he often comes home excited to show us new things he’s picked up from the centre — little skills, new words, songs, and behaviours he’s clearly proud of. That joy says everything about the environment he’s in.

The communication from both the Centre Manager and the educators has been consistently excellent. Emails are always answered promptly, and they’re genuinely open to suggestions and willing to talk through ideas to improve the experience for the kids. It feels like a partnership rather than a one-way message.

What stands out most is the level of care. The team doesn’t treat kids as a group to manage — they pay attention to each child as an individual. We see that reflected in our son’s manners, his confidence, and the way he interacts with other children. Whenever there’s anything worth noting, the team communicates clearly and constructively, which gives us real trust that he’s being supported in a meaningful, personalised way.

We started at Guardian Box Hill Childcare Centre about two months ago, and even before our little one officially began, we were blown away by the amazing support and communication from the team during orientation.

Veronica has been absolutely instrumental in helping us get started — she made sure all our documents were ready, was incredibly prompt and proactive! What really impressed us is that even as the Centre Manager, she’s hands-on across all rooms and has personally helped our little one settle in during early morning drop-offs.

Kate and Maggie have also been tremendous in caring for our child — always kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in his comfort and development. In just a short time, we’ve seen him grow into a happy little boy who is learning so much every day.

We’ve had both our daughters at Guardian Boxhill since they were babies — one now in the toddler room and the other about to finish Kinder and head to Prep — and we couldn’t be more grateful. Amazing teachers and a lovely environment! The teachers are so kind, patient, and genuinely care about every child. From nursery room to toddler room and kinder room, our children have grown so much and always has a big smile after school. We feel so lucky that we found a wonderful childcare center for our little boy. He has been going to Sweetland Guardian childcare for the 7 months, and we are extremely happy with what we are seeing. At first, it was hard during drop off and pick up as he was very emotional to see Mom or Dad leaving, but I appreciate the educators' patience to settle him. He is now very comfortable going there. The center has a wide range of activities and excursion such as sports, story time, online zoo, which aid child development. I also like the design of the center. Our first impression when we toured the center is that it feels like more like a home than a CENTER, which I think make it more confortable for kids. Love this centre and the team! Sent both of my boys here and the educators have all been working here long term and deeply care for the children and their development. The centre is small and well maintained so the children are not overwhelmed and individually attended too. They provide a lot of great additions for the children such as music groups, incursions and regular excursions within the community. The Centre Manager Veronica is supportive and responsive, no request is too hard and she works to accomodate everyone. High recommended.

The guardian childcare box hill centre is very amazing. The centre provides a safe , fun and loving environment for little ones with spacious rooms and outdoor facilities. If u are looking for a daycare that looks after ur kids well and care for their well being and development. Look no further Guardian Box Hill is the best! I am a very picky mum when it comes to choosing a daycare for my child. It was a very hard decision when we were switching our daycare from the previous one. I was very nervous n went through a long list of daycares.

However the moment we came for our visit to this centre Veronica and her team made us immediately feel at ease. All their educators are genuinely very caring, loving, nurturing and they focus alot on child’s academic n personal development goals. They have lot of fun and play based learning activities planned for the day. We have been with the centre about 3 months now and have noticed a big positive change in my child. My son has become very confident n much happier since he has started with them. He always look forward to going to the daycare.
Veronica their centre manager is super awesome n very approachable.
The class educators will always brief you about how your child’s day went at the centre at pick ups.

This is a wonderful childcare center! My kid has been attending for three years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff are truly passionate about what they do—they work with love and care, creating a warm and nurturing environment. My child is excited to go every day and has learned so much during their time here.
One thing I really appreciate is how stable the staff team is—many of them have been here for years. They pay attention to every little detail that benefits the children. For example, when kids transition to the next room, they always do group transitions so that friends can move together, making the adjustment much smoother.
The center also offers plenty of incursions and excursions, providing enriching experiences beyond the classroom. Another great feature is their in-house chef, who prepares fresh and healthy meals daily. It’s amazing to have a place where my child feels happy, safe, and engaged. Highly recommend!

My daughter started attending Guardian Childcare Box Hill approximately 6 months ago, and we could not be happier. Veronica is a great Center Manager - she gives her full attention to every child and parent who crosses her path and is always available to answer any of my questions. The educators always show my daughter care and attention - even remembering her favourite songs. I've definitely noticed my daughter has learnt so much in the time that she's attended and she always looks forward to going to "school". Where do I even begin? Maggie and Kate are absolute legends ⭐️

My daughter has been in the Nursery room for the past four months, and despite only attending three days a week, she has quickly settled in - thanks entirely to the dedication of the educators, Kate and Maggie. She has developed a strong bond and trust with both of them.

Maggie and Kate has remarkable attention to detail and an incredible memory. I can only imagine how hectic it must be to care for multiple babies for long hours, yet they remember things like my daughter’s nap times and how many lunch servings she had, and shares anything particular that they discovered about her each day. This clearly shows how much they genuinely care about each child.

As parents, it is a delightful surprise to see how quickly our daughter has been developing and learning. Within just a week, she was stacking blocks on her own and dancing certain motions along to songs.

I never thought I would find a childcare center I could fully trust, but here it is! My experience has been nothing short of excellent, thanks to the Box Hill team especially Kate, Maggie, and Veronica, the Centre Manager, who is incredibly attentive and responsible. I highly recommend this centre to any family seeking childcare - but just be quick to secure a spot!

The management and staff at this centre are amazing. I cannot thank them enough for the love and attention they give to our daughter, whom we enroled here since she was 8 months old. The manager is very attentive to all the kids and teachers, and there's barely any staff turnaround. My daughter loves her educators and looks forward to seeing her friends. The centre is one of the smallest ones we've seen, with fewer than 50 children in total, which makes it easier to provide the individual care. The infants room has never had more than 8-9 babies over the past months that our daughter has gone there. The babies also get to go on excursions to a nearby park on an octa-pram, which is both fun and safe for them. All in all, a great cozy childcare where you can develop personal relations with all the staff and have peace of mind about your kid.

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Victorian Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of Free Kindergarten a week, in addition to the Childcare Subsidy. The funding offsets the fees for three and four-year-old children that are part of the centre’s long day care Kindergarten program. Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the VIC Government’s Free Kinder Program. Eligible children aged three years and above will receive up to $2101 in additional subsidies to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.
