We had a wonderful experience at Guardian Hamilton with our son Louis - he was in the toddler room with Miss Mildred and Miss Jana and was truly cared for. His development, independence and growth in his confidence in the last 6 months has been incredible and we attribute it to how safe, warm and caring the educators are. Miss Mildred taught my son to count and use the potty - all while keeping things fun! A big thank you to everyone.

Our young daughter attends Guardian at Hamilton and we’re very happy with the centre! The highlights for us is the care they show and quality education, learning they provide. Staff are qualified, talented, friendly and genuine and have built a beautiful relationship with our daughter. We’ve seen her grow and had her life enriched by the educators here. We are very happy with the Centre and would recommend to any family!

Our little girl is about to turn 3 years old in a couple of weeks, and has been attending Guardian Childcare in Hamilton since she was 10months old.My wife and I have been very happy with this centre, particularly due to the care and attentiveness of the Educators, “educators” being the key word here. She’s currently in the Toddlers room, regularly taken care of by Mildred (pictured), Jana, and Jackline (pictured). Our daughter comes home with new words/sentences, an appreciation for books, pleasant manners, understanding the connection between the letter A for her name, being inquisitive, and crazy of all, is now toilet trained! Mildred asked us to commence potty training at home and to try not using nappies…and it’s worked amazingly!Simply put, we’ve had multiple positive moments with our daughter, where my wife and I have asked one another who taught her “that”, and it’s come from her daycare.Even today, when picking our daughter up, she came running into the room to hug me from outside, unbeknown to Jana, who came quickly tailing after her 🙊 Rest assured they’re keeping an eye on the kids. The app with daily activity photos, naps and meals is also great! This photo is from today’s Teddy Bear’s picnic with my daughter and another child who I’ve blurred for obvious reasons, cuddling with Mildred & Jackline. To conclude, I’d happily recommend anyone bring their children here!

We’ve seen real development in communication skills, creativity, and confidence. The daily activities are well thought-out and engaging, and the regular updates give us peace of mind knowing our child is in great hands. We are truly grateful to the entire team for creating such a warm, nurturing, and safe environment. Petit ELJ Hamilton is literally the daycare a parent DREAMS of. From the facilities to the staff there is not a weak point to speak of. I was lucky enough to have Jackline and E-J to watch my little one at her time there and when I say I was DISTRAUGHT to leave the centre I mean that wholeheartedly. And not to forget Monica and Megan being the best administration staff I’ve ever had to help me I cannot fault this centre in the least. I felt beyond safe and happy to leave my precious baby in their care, you’d be lucky to find a centre more capable than this. Honestly this is my third daycare and I NEVER felt happier with a centre than I have here.

It’s been 1 month since joining the centre and I have absolutely nothing to fault about them! They have been so welcoming, loving, calming and most of all supportive towards my boy who’s struggled to find comfort in other centres. The teachers, the chef, the management have all played such a big role in making my son feel safe and comfortable. As a parent who used to cry seeing my son scream and refuse to go to school to now seeing him so happy and as he likes to say ‘super excited’ is the most relieving feeling a parent could feel. This centre is so beautiful and I’m so glad we have finally found somewhere where my son is able to learn new things everyday and most of all have fun! My son will be 4 this year and most of his life he’s been at home with me and even when we attempted to send him to other centres, whether or not it wasn’t the right timing for him or he just didn’t feel comfortable with the centre themselves I’m not sure but from day 1 of him being with Petit, he has not cried once dropping him off and that for me was a sign that he feels comfortable and enjoys it here. His teachers, Miss Maddie and Miss Kaitlyn are amazing! I feel like both those ladies have played an enormous part in ensuring a safe and playful environment for my son and I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for them! Highly highly recommend this centre to all families who are considering this centre for their little ones. You will not be disappointed!

As our first experience with sending our little one (10 months), Archie to day care, we could not have been happier with the support and care from the team at Petite Hamilton. It was a difficult transition for the first few weeks but the staff worked hard to make our little one feel comfortable and safe and before we knew it, he was thriving. The centre, staff, activities are all excellent. The level of communication and attention to detail we found to be exceptional. Our little one was surprising us with how much he was learning and his confidence grew tremendously. We are so incredibly grateful to Monica and the wonderful educators at Petite and highly recommend the centre to any families looking at daycare centres.

Our two year old has absolutely thrived at this centre. The educators are wonderful and have supported him with his play, social skills, language and creativity. The centre provides great meals and easily caters to our son’s anaphylaxis and allergies. They have regular incursions and events, coordinate play activities and learning opportunities based on the children’s interests and have plenty of art, stories, music and outdoor play! We would highly recommend this centre to anyone in the area.

We are soooo sad we’re leaving. You have been so welcoming, warm, helpful and have become household names haha special mentions to Monica & Megan. Honestly, you’ve restored my faith in childcare services. I already had reservations with Eliana’s eczema, but your over and above help and love just gave me such relief, encouragement and absolute assurance that I made the right choice in choosing Petit ELJ @ Hamilton. It makes such a massive difference when your educators not only educate your children, but actually love them too.Thank you all sooooo much!! Our children have been apart of the Petit Hamilton family since 2018. Petit is a second home for our kids - the educators are caring, kind and invested in the childrens education and well being. We are constantly impressed with what our kids are learning, the additions to the environment (animals, new equipment and programs) and the food they are eating each day. We love our Petit family!

Right from the beginning of our son’s care petit Hamilton have shown professionalism and knowledge in how best to support our son . We are always greeted with a friendly, family orientated welcome that puts you at ease. Over the last year we have seen our son develop both with his communication skills and social skills as he has made friends and explored all the vast activities on offer daily. When I walk out the door there is never a concern on my mind, knowing he will have a great day of fun, learning ans exploration. Couldn’t recommend the centre enough!

My daughter has been going to the Petit ELJ Hamilton centre continuously since 31/10/2017 and I can't even find enough praising words for the staff at this centre. The focus on the children's' well being, individual and intellectual growth is exemplary. Individual needs are always seen to with great attention and beautiful friendships are supported! We have been recommending and will keep recommending Petit ELJ Hamilton to people with young children we meet in our daily life. It is a well deserved recommendation, too!

We have two children enrolled at Petit Journey Hamilton and would never change. Both our girls love all the educators and we absolutely love Kate the director. Kate is so caring and passionate about everything she does. She genuinely cares about the children and families. She always tries to accommodate us with last minute days if we need them also. My girls love Bec, Chelsea and Jade and I know they are loved and cared for while in care.

What can i say!! After a horriffic experience at a previous childcare center, finding Petit Hamilton was a absolute god send!! My son had separation anxiety quite badly but with the staff at petit he feels safe and secure to run off and play with his friends and no tears (from him or I). The center is warm and has a great atmosphere with the staff always saying hello/goodbye and making you feel welcome . The children are happy and always kept busy. With a massive play area and boats tooting their horns as they cruise past you cant go wrong with petit Hamilton!

When Neil first started with Petit, we were very apprehensive as this was a big change, right from new country, new culture and new teachers. We are very glad that we chose this center as his first school, because Petit has accommodated Neil's each and every need and at the same time groomed him with all the basic etiquettes. It has been an excellent place for our child, he loves going to school everyday and changes that we could see in him are far beyond any words, especially the language. He has made best buddies and has lot of fun at the center, he loves the pool parties!!!!I would also like to thank Lorin and other educators for all the good work.We thank you all again for making this transition very smooth for us (Neil in particular), Special thanks to Ms. Cindy(he adores her :-)) to make the day care part of his daily life. All the very best, keep up the great work!!!!

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

Hamilton Centre Manager Image

Rebecca

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Rebecca, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.
