By far the best kindy my son has been too. Very caring and understanding. Brook is the best educator caring and understanding. Can not fault the kindy at all. Well done. 😊
Response from the owner:Hi Kara, thank you for the lovely words about our centre in Caloundra! We're so happy to hear that your son is having such a wonderful time in the kindergarten room! At Guardian, we're all about building warm and caring relationships with our children and families and we're so happy to hear that we have been able to provide this to your little one 😊

So so happy I have Chosen Guardian childcare at Caloundra West for my 6month old. As a first time mum and hearing so many horror stories about daycare I was nervous but the educators have been amazing with my little one. She really enjoys it and the communication has been so good and I know how my baby has been going everyday. No regrets and they have gone above and beyond my expectation.
Response from the owner:Thank you for your feedback about our center in Caloundra! We are so happy to hear such good things about you and your little one’s experience with us. At Guardian, we’re all about partnering with our families to deliver the best quality outcome for our children and really appreciate your review.

I feel so lucky that both our children get to attend Guardian Caloundra. Every single educator takes so much pride with the education and care they provide our kids. My son had a particularly hard time adjusting to daycare and all the educators, including the director Doug, did everything they could to help him adjust happily. They are inclusive of special care needs, my son has his AHA visit him in studio each week, which allows him to practice his therapy in real world circumstances. I cannot recommend Guardian Caloundra enough, they are the best!

When I moved to Caloundra a little over a year and a half ago, I was tossing up between Petit and another centre. In order to even tour the other centre I had to enrol my children, then get them in for a transition day. Coming from a Reggio centre, I couldn’t wrap my head around the mess and chaos these kids were exposed to. I conceded it was not the centre for me.

When I called Petit, I was welcomed with open arms for a tour, no lengthy enrolments needed first. I entered the centre, there was a beautiful sense of calm and order. The playground had so many inviting & challenging areas that my toddler took an instant liking too. Everything in each room was an invitation to play and child led.

We have been at petit for 18 months now. My kids love it and I do too. There is a sense of community there and parents are invited to get involved in many different activities. We’ve made friends there because of this. When problems have arised, they’ve been attended too, honestly, with empathy and understanding.

The educators there are first class and so passionate about what they do. I couldn’t reccomended Petit Early Learning highly enough. We are so lucky to belong to the community there.

Petit ELJ Caloundra is a brilliant daycare and kindy. Both of my children have been attending since the beginning of 2021, and it has been so heartening to see them blossom into creative, thoughtful and kind people, thanks in huge part to Petit. They have totally flourished under the nurturing support of the wonderful educators. The whole team are super responsive, supportive and communicative, and the atmosphere is always warm and calm. I cannot fault the facilities or the staff!

Great centre! We moved our children here this year and all of the educators have been amazing with them. They’ve settled in beautifully and we absolutely love the Haven Place and treasure cove studios.

My son loves it at Petit Caloundra. He started when he was 8 months old and has settled in so well and is thriving. The girls in the nursery are so accommodating and lovely. We feel so comfortable that he is having an absolute blast on his daycare days.

Amazing centre! We were unsure of where to take our daughter for her first daycare experience as we’ve had some rough experiences in the past with our eldest son. From the day our daughter has been here every educator has been more than amazing with helping our daughter feel comfortable and happy with all, even the Directors have been amazing with her.
We can’t recommend these guys enough

We have been taking our 2 girls here 4 days a week for just over two months.

The teachers are so lovely and super easy to communicate with. On pick up they can tell me all about the girls days and things they were interested in or activities they were doing. I can’t thank the teachers at Petit enough for making this transition to not only a new school but for us a new state so seamless and showing the girls love and attention every day.

It is evident through their excitement and eagerness to go to school just how much they enjoy it, which makes our lives 100x easier.

The teachers here truly care about the kids and the relationships they have is so nice to see even in the short few months we have been here.

Petit have made our family so welcome! Our daughter is very happy there and it is so lovely to see her forming such positive relationships with the staff.

I have always been happy with the level of care that my children have received (over the last 4 years combined) in the center, both of them have always enjoyed daycare and are always excited to tell me about their days and have always bonded well with their educators.

Despite the changes the center has been through over the years, which at times I have been concerned if this could effect the kids but I also feel as though in the last year especially the potential has grown immensely and the kids always remain happy.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the QLD Government’s Free Kindy
Program. Eligible children who turn four years old by 30 June can receive up to 15hrs of free kindergarten a week (40 weeks per year) to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more
details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
