Hao
It has been a wonderful three years for both my daughter and my son at King Street! Although the management changed often, King Street has been fortunate to have some of the best educators, including Anu, Jexy, Jib, Lizzy, and Glanndy.
Response from the owner:Thank you Hao for taking the time to leave such a positive review! We’re so happy to hear that both your daughter and son had a great experience with us over the past three years. It really means a lot to us. While there have been a few changes along the way, we’ve been lucky to have amazing educators like Anu, Jexy, Jib, Lizzy, and Glanndy who bring so much heart to what they do. We’ve loved being part of your family’s journey!

I had a graduation bear made for my child once she completed Kindy last year. My child changed from her daycare in previous years to complete kindy at Guardian King St. We had a positive experience with admin, teachers, and the overall learning environment. I was really happy with my child’s kindy experience thanks to Guardian C&E King St. Recommend.
Response from the owner:Thank you Nicole for sharing your experience! We're delighted to hear that your child had a smooth and positive transition into our centre. It’s wonderful to know that our team and learning environment helped make that year so special. We’re also glad the bear could be part of celebrating such a meaningful moment. Your recommendation means a lot to us!

My kids have been attending Guardian at King Street for over three years. It’s a warm and nurturing centre with responsible and caring educators. Despite being located in the city, it still offers a decent outdoor play area. The spaces for babies, toddlers, and kindy-aged children are thoughtfully separated to provide a safe environment for the kids. We truly appreciate all the educators for their dedication and care.
Response from the owner:Thank you Kira. It’s been such a joy watching your children grow with us over the past three years. Knowing that you feel supported and confident in the care we provide means so much to our whole team. We put a lot of thought into creating a safe and engaging environment for every age group, and it’s lovely to hear that this has made a difference for your family. We truly value the relationship we’ve built with you and your little ones—it’s families like yours that make our community so special.

Very supportive team and the educators are really involved with children having had a challenge with my son whether he would be unsettled when he first started ,they really helped him settle in and adjust which gave me peace and comfort knowing my child was in good hands, safe and supported emotionally
He was happy ,involved and content which as a parent it's one of the things you look for especially when you are leaving your child in someone else's care.my son loves them and is always excited when to see them when he goes.
Quality care is key and am really happy and blessed with the team for their good job and on going support not just for the kids but for parents as well, the center is clean promoting good hygiene as well
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for your kind words and positive feedback! It's wonderful to know that he has settled in well and feels happy, involved, and content. We understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and at ease when leaving their children in our care, and we're glad we could provide that peace of mind for you. Our team is dedicated to offering quality care and ongoing support not just for the children, but for parents as well. Your appreciation for our clean and hygienic environment means a lot to us, as we strive to maintain a safe and healthy space for everyone. Thank you for trusting us with your child's care and for being a part of our community. We look forward to continuing to support and nurture your son.

We have been very happy with Guardian King Street. It is well run, organised and the educators have been consistent since we started there which is a sign of a good centre. The educators take a genuine interest in our daughter. They organise great activities for the children and it is evident that they are continually trying out new ideas to make improvements.
Response from the owner:Thank you Max for your great review for our centre in King Street. We are so happy to hear that we are meeting your expectations. We will continue to provide the best possible care for our families and children 😊
Emma W.
My daughter has been attending Guardian King Street for over 12 months. The staff have been consistent over that time and are all excellent. Belinda, the centre manager, is wonderful and runs a tight ship. I was advised by someone in the childcare industry prior to my daughter starting daycare to choose a centre based on the NQS accreditation and seek out a daycare that is ‘exceeding’ accreditation. This has been excellent advice and the quality of the care at Guardian King Street is exceptional. We briefly had our daughter attending another centre closer to our home for a couple of days per week earlier this year, but ultimately we decided to keep her at Guardian exclusively as despite the longer drive it is a much higher quality centre. The other centre she briefly attended was only ‘meeting’ accreditation criteria so I can confidently say from our experience that the NQS rating accurately reflects the quality of care provided. Thank you to the wonderful King St team!
Response from the owner:Thank you Emma for your 5-star rating for our centre in King Street. We really appreciate your positive review and look forward to creating a great experience for you and your daughter at Guardian over many more days to come!

Guardian King St is such a wonderful childcare centre. We’ve sent our daughter since she was 10 months old (she is now almost 2) and even when we moved house 15mins away we still kept her here because it’s the best! I looked at so many other daycare centers and none compare. The staff are just the most beautiful people who really love children. They are the best mix of kind, nurturing, playful and caring. The management is fantastic and the centre is modern, clean, calm, and full of great toys and activities for the kids. If you want a centre that is going to love and care for your child as much as you, I can’t recommend this daycare highly enough!
Response from the owner:Thank you for your feedback about our centre in King St! We are happy to hear such good things about you and your little one’s experience with us. At Guardian, we’re all about partnering with our families to deliver the best quality outcomes for our children and really appreciate your review.
Aurelien D.
Our daughter is very happy to attend the child care every day and we, as parents are more than satisfied about the care provided and the high professionalism of the staff.
We highly recommend this center for their amazing communication and support.
We could not dream of a better child care.
Response from the owner:Thanks for the awesome review, Aurelien! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and always strive to find ways to improve our centres. Glad to you hear you have had such a great experience!

I couldn’t recommend a place more than this place. I have kept in touch with other parents and they all agree when I say that guardian really set our children up for success. They have all started prep and are doing well. They all adjusted perfectly to school and have had no issues with the learning or schedule.

Great work team! You all made it so easy for us and did wonders caring for our son!
Jacqui M.
The supportive, kind, warm and knowledgeable educators are always focused on providing great learning experiences and excursions that have helped our child develop fine motor skills, language and friendships beyond our expectations. They love attending the centre and we are continually amazed by the new things they learn with their friends each day. We trust and feel at ease communicating with the educators and leadership, and love that the values and principles they teach are consistent with the ones we practice at home. We recommend King Street Guardian Early Learning to everyone!
Mikki R.
My son has been attending King Street for almost a year now and is loving every minute of it - to the point where sometimes it's hard to get him home - he doesn't want to leave! The carer's treat the kids like their own and the facilities are second to none. I would not hesitate in recommending King Street for your children.
Owen “.
My kid loves the place and his educators and I do too. Thanks Mel and awesome crew of educators!
Nicole M.
Our son was one of the first children enrolled at Guardian Early Learning Centre (GELC) King Street and he has loved every minute of his first year there. The educators are so kind and caring. They have taught our son so many things including self feeding and sign language so he can communicate with us. Being a full service centre makes life so easy for us too not having to worry about lunches and we know the food he does eat will be full of goodness. Sending our son to GELC King Street was one of the best decisions we could have made to start our son's education. Thanks to Mel and the team there...we love you!
Louise M.
A fantastic childcare centre in Bowen Hills!
The Guardian approach to care and early learning is brilliant. My two little ones thrive in the open plan layout and the child-led play based learning philosophy. Visits to the Ekka and excursions to the local cafes for babycinos are just some of the experiences the kids rave about!
Reasonable and competitive fees for fully inclusive care. The in-house chef is great!
Great staff led by a wonderful Centre Manager. Highly recommend.
Brisbane M.
Excellent facilities, very modern, large with great toys and activities for the children. Beautiful natural light from floor to ceiling windows and outings/excursions for the kids. Sean and Maddie are fantastic. Gill the chef is amazing, very high quality fresh food for the children everyday. The toys are high quality, great big clean sandpit with diggers and a gorgeous fort and climbing equipment. Perfect for hot Queensland summers as it is temperature controlled. Only annoying part is driving up three levels just to drop your kid off, and having to walk down three levels of stairs once you pass reception, then back up three flights of stairs to then drive three levels back down to get out of the centre - every morning and afternoon.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

Katrina and Team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager KatrinaTeam, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.
