The Centre has a range of inspiring environments for children to explore, including three outdoor spaces, a glass-walled art studio, herb and vegetable gardens, creek beds, water pumps, and a number of other exciting spaces where children can learn through play.

Our long day care in Everton Hills is ideally located for families in surrounding suburbs nearby, including Everton Park, McDowall, Mitchelton, Arana Hills, Keperra, and Bunya.

Our Everton Hills childcare centre offers a nurturing environment that includes:

  • Quality learning programs such as Joy of Reading, Cooking and Sustainability
  • Engaging indoor learning spaces full of quality educational resources
  • Expansive outdoor play spaces with a veggie garden, water pumps and an outdoor art studio
  • On-site Chef providing fresh snacks and meals daily
  • Highly experienced Educators and degree-qualified Teachers
  • Nappies, SPF 50+ sunscreen and bed linen provided
  • Extended hours of care each weekday from 6.30am to 6.30pm

The teachers and educators at Guardian Everton Hills provide wonderful learning programs for the children, including a leading kindergarten program that will help prepare your child for the exciting transition to primary school.

The QLD Government offers funding to provide families at our centre up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week. The funding off sets the fees for children who turn four years old by 30 June in the year before they attend primary school. This support is in addition to the CCS and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, we support families in gaining a deeper understanding of their child’s early learning journey. Easily accessible for families, our Learning Exchange Display allows our Teachers and Educators to provide daily updates on your child’s progress. You’ll also have the opportunity to share your goals and visions, giving you direct input into your child’s early childhood education experience.

Families can stay connected through our family communication app Storypark, where we’ll share updates on your child’s day and any important news from the Centre. This keeps you informed and engaged, no matter where you are.

Our play-based learning approach prepares children for success by fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence. With a dedicated on-site chef, we serve freshly prepared meals daily, including breakfast for families. Children and educators often use herbs and vegetables from our gardens in daily meals and hands-on cooking classes, extending their knowledge of nutrition and encouraging them to try new foods.

Our Centre also offers a school readiness program to ensure your child is well-prepared for the next stage of their learning journey. Begin the adventure at Guardian Everton Hills today by booking a tour or speaking with our team.

If I could give 6 stars, I would. I have had my three children attend 3 different Guardian Centres over the course of 8 years, and Everton stands out. Not only is it beautifully located, nestled amongst nature reserves, Hayley and her team are just outstanding and the quality of care my daughter has received has well exceeded my expectations. They tick every box I have as an ex-early childhood educator: Clean, well presented, stimulating and carefully presented spaces. Happy, smiling staff who are engaging with the children and acknowledging the families, quality program shared through gorgeous daily updates and photos, if a child is crying they are being attended to - truly, and a beautiful team that have made daycare a safe, extension of our family. I have a very happy 2 year old, and that is due to all of the above. Special shout out to Aparna.

The team at Guardian Everton Hills are absolutely amazing. Our son started there at the beginning of the year and they have gone above and beyond to ensure not only he but my husband and I were comfortable. They go the extra mile and are so friendly. After coming from another daycare it has been like chalk and cheese. We are SO impressed by guardian and how their educators show a real passion and dedication to the children. It’s hard to find a good daycare these days and I will be recommending Guardian to everyone, we are so glad we decided to switch daycares.Great job team!

We have been so impressed with sending our youngest daughter to Guardian at Everton Hills. All of the staff there are so friendly, caring and my daughter genuinely loves them! Her confidence within herself has grown along with learning new and exciting things at the centre. The staff have gone above and beyond when we needed extra help and have been a constant support for our family. I highly recommend this centre!

Had 2 wonderful years at this centre with our 2 boys. They watched our youngest grow from the womb! It was a very sad day to leave the beautiful team here but we are relocating north. Would highly recommend Guardian Everton Hills to anyone in the area looking for a daycare they can trust and who build meaningful relationships with the children in their care.

Thank you so much to everyone from Guardian Everton Hills who have taken such great care of my son. My son starts prep next week and I am confident that your educators have armed him with being ready for the next leap in his childhood. The facilities are second to none, the daily changing menu and the inclusive culture has instilled such great value into the youngest generation. My son will surely miss everything, the teachers, his friends and the centre in general as will I. Well done Kirbie and team - I will be recommending your centre to everyone!Gemma Barker

Everyday, I see a genuine interaction between staffs and children, Staffs that are being attuned to every child's needs. My son jumps off towards his familiar educator during drop off and always has a spark on him each time he attends the Centre.

The team at Guardian Everton Hills helped support my little man and I as we transitioned back into the area after a separation. They went above and beyond to make sure we were supported, welcomed and that my little guy was comfortable and settled. It was with great regret that we had to move on from here and wish circumstances had allowed us to stay longer. Highly recommend!!!!

This is an absolutely amazing centre. The staff are all incredible, extremely kind and are truly interested in your child's development. We moved our children from another daycare into this one and the difference that we saw in them was pretty much instant. Could not recommend this place more highly.

A fantastically resourced centre with the most genuine and caring staff. They provide hats, nappies and food (including bottles and formula). The centre has wet areas, a light room, music room and lots of areas to play! This is a centre that you could happily send your child to from an early age and prepare them for school interactions. This centre cares a lot about sustainability and getting the children involved with activities, including growing vegetables that will be used in the kitchen! This centre is positioned perfectly next to a park, so nature walks are part of the regular routine. The long opening hours are also great for parents who work in town and start early!

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Everton Hills Centre Manager Image

Kayla and team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Kayla, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.

Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the QLD Government’s Free Kindy Program. Eligible children who turn four years old by 30 June 2025 can receive up to 15hrs of free kindergarten a week to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.
