Guardian Childcare & Education Aspley is like the five-star resort of toddler society — and Miss Kate and Roya are basically the celebrity power couple running the show. I dropped my kid off and instantly felt like I was leaving them in the care of two elite babysitting assassins — gentle, nurturing, but also 100% capable of taking down any rogue tantrum within a five-metre radius.

Miss Kate greeted us like we were checking into a luxury spa. Roya? She had snack time running with military precision — not a single sultana out of place. The kids were learning, laughing, and probably achieving more in a day than I have all year.

10/10 — Miss Kate and Roya could probably run the country if they wanted, but I’m glad they’re running this place instead.

I have had multiple children attend this centre over the last couple of years, the last leaving for school end of 2024 and I have nothing but praise for the staff at Guardian Aspley, they often deal with some very challenging behaviours from children/ and sometimes horrible families & dynamics - 5 days per week. All my children have learnt so much and the learning program ensured all were confident and school ready, something I was very mindful of. Yes, there is some staff turnover happening, but that happens everywhere , people move houses, transfer centres, go on maternity leave etc - childcare centres are no different. Care and Communication is on point , from the cheery and efficient Jo on reception, to all the educators encountered everyday. Managements door is always open if you have any concerns and they do make every effort. Lovely people.

Great centre. It doesn’t look much from the street but it is fantastic inside, with a big outdoor play area. The educators are warm and build special bonds with the children. We receive photo updates daily. Our family has been at the centre for almost four years - we love it!

Our experience at Guardian Aspley has been fantastic from our first day. The nursery room provides a warm and safe space for little ones starting their daycare journey. The carers are gentle and kind, and provide a stimulating environment for them to play, grow and learn. Two of my children have attended this centre since they were 9 and 4 months respectively. They are now 5 and 3. They have loved every minute. My 5 year old starts school in 2021 and he is more than prepared for this adventure and the educators at this centre have a lot to do with that. The management team are fantastic also. Our children have been attending Guardian at Aspley since for the past 4 years and we have watched them thrive and learn so much at this centre, build strong relationships with other kids and staff and build their confidence. The staff care so much about the children and know all the kids by name. The children learn so much through the fun and creative activities and games facilitated by the educators. The centre is clean, with a big well thought out play area, and gardens the children help look after. The centre provides nutritious meals with great variety prepared on site. It is a big centre but has a great community feel and we would be happy to recommend.

My son has been attending Guardian Aspley since he was 7 months old in the nursery, he thrived from the first week. He is now 19 months and in the toddler room and he loves this daycare, it often takes 20 minutes to leave! The centre itself is clean and has a great set up with a garden and playground in the centre as well as a separate area for the Nursery and Toddlers to play in. The regular introduction of various cultures in daily learning as well as practising sign language during songs makes this centre a step above so many others. There is great communication between the centre and parents through Story Park, newsletters and emails. Every educator welcomes my son by his name as he enters and says goodbye when he leaves. We have felt very informed, included and welcomed from the moment that we started and he has made great friendships already, I wouldn't hesitate recommending Guardian Aspley to anyone.

My child attends the centre in the kindergarten room this year she has had fun learning and exploring many different topics. The staff are wonderful and the 2 ladies that manage the centre are always helpful and there to answer any questions my husband and I might have. The meals are great and I find that my child eats more and tries many of the new and great smelling creations that come from their on site kitchen. My child has attended the centre for almost 2yrs, we love Lizards! Although it’s a large centre all of the staff know my child by name and they’re all so welcoming and friendly. The resources are great, as is the standard of food. But the educators are the cherry on top- my child has formed genuine bonds with each of their educators across 3 different rooms as they’ve grown. The staff genuinely care for and about my child, I feel safe leaving my child in their care and have no hesitations about putting future children into care at Lizards.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children and families like routine, so you will always receive a warm welcome each morning and an invitation to stay for breakfast. At the end of the day, a smooth transition is assured with your child’s belongings ready for you after a day that fulfils your child's interests and curiosity. In between, the day is filled with new and exciting experiences to engage young minds as part of their early childhood education. Here’s a glimpse of what a day of play-based learning at our childcare centre often looks like.

Morning

Breakfast time provides a great chance for you to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. When your baby is ready, they are gently settled for sleep and rest.

Mid-Afternoon

Our planned indoor and outdoor nursery experiences continue with the chance for movement, games and more books and songs, with an afternoon snack provided.

End of Day

The Nursery team are eager to share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your baby for a smooth transition to your evening.

What we do to keep children safe

Create Safe Spaces & Practices

  • Nappy change areas are designed to have visibility windows and are set up for maximum supervision
  • Our policies also cater for team members being in sight or sound of another team member at all times.
  • Safety embedded in daily programs – by conducting daily checklists, comprehensive risk assessments, and more
  • personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.

Safe People Who Follow Safe Policies

  • Working With Children Checks for all team members. Automatic alerts if a WWCC is revoked and team member not eligible for shifts
  • Rigorous reference checks – must provide previous line managers for their past roles
  • Annual compulsory Suitability Declarations to confirm ongoing fitness to work with children
  • Mandatory reporting and speaking up – report concerns immediately and all concerns will be investigated fully
  • Ongoing mandatory training in child safety, including annual refreshers and leadership-specific modules

Daily Fee Information

Daily Rates

Our daily rates are all inclusive and have no additional charges for incursions / excursions or any of our learning programs. The rates shown are an estimate based on using Childcare Subsidy (CCS) subsidised hours. The CCS helps lower your out-of-pocket costs, with subsidy rates dependant on your individual family eligibility levels.

The Queensland Government offers funding to provide families up to 15 hours of free kindergarten a week. The funding off sets the fees for children who turn four years old by 30 June in the year before they attend primary school. Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:


  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

Kindergarten Program
Flying start to school

Our Flying Start to School kindergarten program is lead by degree qualified Teachers in a long day care setting. Our specialist two-year program is committed to supporting your child as they prepare for big school. We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development.

Our Centre is a recipient of funding as part of the QLD Government’s Free Kindy Program. Eligible children who turn four years old by 30 June can receive up to 15hrs of free kindergarten a week (40 weeks per year) to reduce your out-of-pocket fees. Ask for more details when you tour the centre.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Learning languages through Early Learning Languages Australia (ELLA) supports brain development and social skills and creates opportunities to celebrate cultural diversity.

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
