Guardian Rouse Hill North is such a wonderful centre and its educators are amazing! Our daughter has been attending 5 days a week for almost two years now and absolutely loves it here. It has been so special watching her build strong relationships with all of the educators over the years which is testament to the care they provide. The learning opportunities have been endless and we have loved seeing our little girl develop her confidence, independence and resourcefulness with the team’s support and guidance. We wholeheartedly recommend this centre to all of our family and friends and can’t wait to have our next bubba join the Guardian Rouse Hill North family soon!

We have had an excellent experience with this centre. My son has been attending since he was 2 years old and heading off to school now, and my little one has been cared here since she had 9 months old. A heartfelt thank you to Michelle, the wonderful Centre Manager, Mandy as the educational leader and all the amazing educators who made this journey so special. Special thanks to Sukhi, Deb, Laura, Flora, and Chloe, who were with us since first day, as well as Minnie, Kylie, Sophie, Anna, Joyce, Abi, and Brindha. Every educator has cared for our children as if they were their own, giving us complete peace of mind while we worked.A special thanks again to Michelle, as none of this would have been possible without her exceptional leadership and management. Thank you.

Amazing Centre. Both my children are always so excited to go to school. The educators and environments are warm and welcoming. They show attention to all children’s individuality and this is seen through the many different learning experiences. They do many excursions and incursions, their connection to the community is wonderful. This was a huge factor in choosing the centre as we recently moved here a few years ago and it is important for us to build connections as the children will be attending Primary/high school in the area also.

Rouse Hill North is a really lovely centre. All the educators are so nice and they are like a family. They always do more than their own job, for example, their fabulous cook Kate, sometimes will help in the nursery room as well. I can feel their love to each child instead of just doing their job. I feel lucky that we choose this center for my daughter.

Amazing centre, have had nothing but positive experiences. Our daughter transferred to this centre when we had our second child and I was on maternity leave, and the service has been so compassionate and welcoming. Now our second is in care there too, and again the teachers and educators have been so wonderfully warm, happy and accommodating. The leadership team have gone above and beyond to offer us additional casual days when required as well as accommodate attendance changes when they can.We are so so happy to have our children growing and learning in such an inclusive, friendly place. The learning programs are rich with new and interesting experiences, and we especially love the connection to the local community.Highly recommend this centre!

Fabulous preschool, would recommend to anyone. My son is always happy to go to preschool, such a positive vibe inside. Especially after all the recent renovations. There is always something new to play with, the rooms are regularly rearranged to keep the children engaged. Staff and management are friendly, chef Kate makes delicious healthy food for all and the outside area is great. My son loves going out on excursions to the local cafe for baby cinos with his class.

We have been part of the Playdays/Guardian family for over 5 years and are so incredibly happy with the care our children receive. The staff are so welcoming, kind and they know each child so well. The learning environments are engaging, fun and safe. We have always felt a positive, respectful and family focused atmosphere. We could not think of a better place to see our children flourish.

This is such a fantastic centre. My wife was very picky as to where our youngest daughter would go and she fell in love with this place once we saw it and met the amazing staff. When we initially visited the centre I was surprised at how homely it felt. With only about 50 children it felt like everyone knew each other, which hasn’t been the case at previous centres we had looked at with over 100 children. The rooms are covered in pictures and the children’s artworks and creations. I was very impressed with their use of recycled materials for play rather than just more toys. My daughter loves to go here and settled so quickly. Wish I had found this place for my older children!!

Like all parents, we were looking for a centre that was excellent in all areas including curriculum, facilities, nutrition, and overall care. But I wanted more than that. Knowing my baby was going into full-time care, I didn’t want him to be just one child in a crowd receiving great care. I wanted him to be treasured as an individual, to feel loved, and to know that he is valued. I wanted a childcare where he is special. At Playdays, my son is special. He is loved. I see him thriving and happy. And as a parent I feel my advice, feedback and concerns are always valued and respected. We genuinely feel like Playdays is an extension of our family, and even our big boys love visiting at pick up & drop off.

Both my children attended this service only finishing up in December 2017. The educators always provided a warm, calm and inviting service with education and children as their number one priority. Nothing was ever too much to ask and always went above and beyond. My daughter's review who is now 7 follows- I loved to do drawing with my first friends and learnt how to write my name and some other words. My son made many wonderful friends and speaks very fondly of many educators including the beautiful chef. From babies my children were loved, nurtured, educated and happy. The educators always made effort to ensure I knew they were happy healthy and learning with lots communication. Thankyou Playdays team!

We sent our first daughter to Playdays Rouse Hill when she was 1 year old, back in 2011. She started in the babies room & graduated through to the toddlers, and the pre-school room before starting primary school. Our second daughter started at 7 months old & is currently in the pre-school room. Melinda has been the Centre Manager for the duration of our experience with Playdays. She has high expectations of her staff as well as the day to day processes that guide the running of the centre. Our experience of centre staff is that of accommodation, care & dedication. Each day we dropped our girls off was done so/is done with confidence. Upon picking the girls up, they are always smiling, happy & well cared for.I find the current staff in the preschool room very helpful. In my mad rush to drop off my daughter to get to work, they always peel her from me, cuddle her, distract her and make her smile- making this Mum feel much less guilty about saying goodbye!If/when my child gets injured we are always notified promptly- even for minor scratches. My daughter always comes home happily chatting about her day, activities, friends & fun.In more than 6 years since commencing at Playdays, my husband & I have never had a compliant about the centre.I work in child protection & my husband is a primary school teacher- our expectations certainly aren’t low.We appreciate Playdays Rouse Hill & recommend them as an early learning service wholeheartedly.

When we moved from Rouse Hill to Wilberforce it would have made sense for us to take our daughter out of Play Days and put her in the local day care centre. We have had such a wonderful experience with Play Days over the years that we didn’t want to take her from a place and people that she loves. We want to thank all of the staff for their care of both our children over almost an 7 year period. I thought I would be a crafty Mum but nothing compares to the time and effort that the staff put into creating amazing experiences for the kids!! Melinda, Mandy and Rita of course are also integral to making Play Days such an enjoyable place with wonderful nourishing food, charity exposure, organisation of excursions and always looking at how to make Play Days better and better!Thank you for everything, we will miss you all!!

I’ve had my eldest son attending Playdays at Rouse Hill since 2015. I am now in the middle of settling my 16 month old son into daycare for the first time. The warmth, care and attention from the staff, and the teachers in the nursery, have compelled me to write this review. As heart breaking as it is to leave your baby in daycare and pull yourself away from them, the staff have only made this process easier by calling me throughout the day to tell me he has settled, capturing a beautiful photo of a happy moment of my son smiling and making friends (posted to a secure parenting site), and happily chatting to me on drop off and pick up, answering all my questions about feeding and sleeping. This experience has only reminded me of the wonderful job the staff in the nursery were way back in 2015 for my first son.More than this, I am always so impressed when reading the reports of the children’s daily experiences, and even more heart warming is when the teachers create tasks and activities to help develop skills that your child needs practice in, my eldest son’s fine motor skills needed a little more encouraging, and often I’ve seen activities set to help develop this, such as using play doh, using tongs and tweezers etc.The staff are enthusiastic and thorough and I am so grateful for the care attention they have shown my boys.

My children have attended Playdays Rouse Hill since 2013 and we absolutely love it. I cannot fault the staff and management. We are always called if there is an issue and they work with us to resolve anything that needs to be fixed.Every time I talk to the teachers they show me that they really know my son and daughter so well and that they always have their best interest at heart. That means the world to me. As I am sure most full time working parents know, it's extremely hard being away from my children all day and not being there with them everyday, but the staff at Playdays make it so much easier to go to work because I know that my children are getting the best care possible. My children enjoy going to childcare every day and learn so much!. I can't even keep up with some of the information they come home with! One of the main things I love is that the teachers use what the children are interested in to teach them about the world so it's fun for the kids to learn.Would highly recommend!

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

Who are the team that will be looking after my child?

Rouse Hill North Centre Manager Image

Michelle and team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Michelle, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.
