Welcome to our Centre

Guardian Macquarie Park child care centre boasts a range of exciting, resource-rich environments including a thriving vegetable patch, wooden pallet climbing frames, natural structures and a range of age-specific play areas, children are encouraged to explore and learn.

Our long day care centre in Macquarie Park is ideally located for families from surrounding suburbs such as Marsfield, North Ryde, Epping, Denistone, Eastwood, Killara, Lindfield, Chatswood, Lane Cove and Pymble. Our centre is also ideal for working parents who commute to Macquarie Park.

Our Macquarie Park childcare centre offers:

  • Quality learning programs such as Joy of Reading, Cooking and Sustainability
  • Extensive outdoor space for children to explore
  • On-site Chef providing fresh snacks and meals daily
  • Highly experienced Educators and degree-qualified Teachers
  • Nappies, SPF 50+ sunscreen, high-quality formula and bed linen provided
  • Extended hours of care each weekday from 6.30am to 6.30pm

The light-filled centre also features an art studio, lighting experiences and backs onto a quiet, leafy reserve which the children love. Children at Guardian Macquarie Park enjoy exploring our community on regular excursions to the hospital, the local shops and the offices within our building to collect recyclables for our sustainability learning experiences.

Teachers and Educators at Guardian Macquarie Park also provide wonderful learning programs for the children, including a leading Preschool Program for those preparing for the transition to primary school.

As part of our unique Visible Learning Program, families have the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of their child’s learning. Easily accessible for families, our Learning Exchange Display provides the opportunity for our Teachers and Educators to share with you any updates on their progress every day. You will also have the chance to share with us your own personal goals and visions for us to implement, having direct input in your child’s educational journey!

Families will also be given access to our family communication app Storypark, where we will share with you any significant updates in your child’s day, as well as any other important updates that happen in the centre – ensuring that you’re always connected, even when you’re not here.

The NSW Government offers funding to provide families at our Centre fee relief of up to $2174 per child aged three and above, and up to $515 per year for children aged three. This support is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) and can help to lower your out-of-pocket fees.

We are proud to have a culturally diverse team, with one of our Educators speaking fifteen languages fluently! This is an incredible opportunity for the children to extend their knowledge of language and the world around them, as we also embrace and celebrate a variety of cultures and holidays throughout the year.

Kids Gourmet Food, an esteemed catering company, delivers fresh meals to the Centre daily, while our dedicated team of Educators organise breakfast and late snacks for the children.

Guardian Macquarie has shown warmth and kindness from the very first day I met Tuba, the assistant manager. When I spoke to them about my concerns regarding my son, educators like Radhika, Athena, Puja, Amy, Anhui, Lan, and Ciel did everything they could to support us and address the issues. The environment feels just like family—caring, supportive, and full of love. The most important thing for me is that my son develops his social and verbal skills before starting school, and I can see real progress—he’s getting better every day. I truly appreciate the care and dedication the team puts into helping the children thrive.Heartfelt thanks to Isabella, the Centre Manager, for her genuine care and for making the centre feel like a second home for the children.

As a first time mum, I found the whole process of researching and choosing daycares pretty overwhelming but as soon as I met Assistant Manager, Tuba and she took me and my husband on a tour, I felt immediately at ease. We've been at Guardian Mac Park for over two years and they have been so wonderful. Our daughter has thrived and absolutely loves the centre, the educators and the warm and nurturing environment the team have created. Special mention to Tiffany, Amy, Ashley, Tarra, Ayesha, Aronia, Puja and Centre Manager Isabella who have made our time so positive and have created such a beautiful bond with our daughter. We couldn't be in better hands and are looking forward to our next two years at Guardian.

My daughter has been attending this daycare for 1.5 years and having looked at a number of local options this was by far our first choice and has been a great fit for us. The room staff are genuinely caring and our daughter has made some great friendships with staff and children.

We have moved to Macquarie Park 2 weeks ago & we were looking for a new day care, people we can trust to look after our children. And the reason why I chose this childcare is because of Isabella. From day 1 I had a good experience & ever since she made sure that our kids were look after. Without having to ask her, she organised for our son to get the special support he needs. She is always accommodating to whatever our needs are. Our kids are happy & so are we. Thank you Isabella!

My 3 children have been at Guardian since September and I can't even begin to describe the difference in care compared to their old childcare that we moved them from. Every educator at Guardian Mq is attentive, caring and empathic towards every child. I have witnessed a marked difference in my oldest behaviour since starting, he is so much happier and I can honestly say this is all down to the educators. I can tell that they really do care about every child and have seen clear, suitable and important behaviour management strategies put in place for the challenging behaviour that my oldest can sometimes display. This has had such a positive impact on him, he is so much happier and settled. I cannot thank the educators enough.I highly recommend the centre, your family will not be disappointed with the level of care provided and the nurturing environment that Centre Manager Natalie and her staff provide.

Could not recommend this centre highly enough. They have been the kids home away from home for years now. From the food to the staff everything is done with the kids best interest in mind.

This centre is outstanding. Such genuinely caring and lovely staff in the nursery and an equally caring and kind manager. Many of the staff have been here for a few years because the culture is so nice. Guardian is like a second home for my little one. He started at six months and I was so nervous because of his age but when I picked him up he wouldn’t stop smiling and absolutely loved it and ate plenty of food. This centre is just wonderful and staff treat the children like their own. I am beyond grateful for the staff at this centre.

We were recommended to Acrewoods by a colleague and two other friends who had or are sending their wards here. We sent our child here for a year. We experienced the nursery and toddler rooms, and found the Educators extremely caring, friendly and professional. They took very good care of our child and were very patient and loving with her. The Centre Director is also a very warm and welcoming professional. All of them were very understanding, kind and friendly. Very prompt and responsive to any query related to the care. I can wholeheartedly recommend this centre to anyone looking for a safe, friendly and caring environment in the Macquarie Park area. Thank you to all of you at Acrewoods for looking after our baby.

Guardian childcare (previousley Acre Woods) at Macquarie Park is such a great place for kids with a very good team of management and educators. I put my son in this childcare when he was 9 months old and we had a vey good experience since he started. Amazing nursery staff helped me and my son in this transition and I had much less stress as I had to go back to work.We saw him thriving in this childcare and This is the type of centre that I would always recommend.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Handover time with children, families and our friendly Educators. There's a chance for conversation to share what's important for the day/what's happened the night before at home.

Breakfast time where families are welcome to stay and enjoy breakfast with the children.

As children are arriving and families are coming and going, there's an opportunity for play as well as family grouping, open-plan play and multi-age grouping.

There's an opportunity for children to come together and enjoy morning tea.

Following morning tea, the planned experiences continue. This includes both indoor and outdoor programs.

There's an opportunity for children to come together for lunch. With an open-door policy, families are able to join the centre for meals and excursion if they wish.

For children who want to, or need to, there's an opportunity to sleep, rest or relax. For children who don't need to rest, there are planned experiences, which are more likely to be outdoors.

Children come together for afternoon tea in small groups or with siblings (they can also rest and play together, too). This time also presents an opportunity to reflect on the day.

As families arrive to pick up children, there's an opportunity to speak to Educators and share information about the day.

Some centres offer early tea or light snack at the end of the day, which they can grab as they leave the centre. We’re mindful of how routines vary at home, so if throughout the day, we notice children look tired, food will be provided.

Macquarie Park Centre Manager Image

Isabella and team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Isabella, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.

Out and about

Through excursions, children are supported to expand their world, to get to know their community, and have a sense of belonging. Their learning thrives when they feel safe, welcome, and that they belong.

STEM

Children discover the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through age-appropriate activities that are designed to foster curiosity and develop foundational skills like problem-solving and creativity.

Cooking

Cooking experiences teach numeracy by counting ingredients, and weighing and measuring quantities and volume, while managing these tasks supports independence and confidence.

Ella Language

Joy of Reading

Reading aloud to children each day inspires imagination and supports thinking. Books with rhythm, rhyme and word patterns make stories more playful and memorable.

Sustainability

From growing veggies and foraging in the garden for that day’s meal ingredients to learning about recycling, children learn about being part of a community, connecting to their environment and understanding their impact on the world.
