We’re seeking an exceptional Child Safeguarding and Investigations Lead to champion child safety across our national network of early learning centres. This is a rare opportunity to lead with purpose, drive strategic change, and ensure every child is protected, supported, and heard.
As the organisation’s key safeguarding expert, you’ll provide national leadership on child protection, investigations, and risk management. You’ll work across departments to embed child-safe practices, strengthen organisational capability, and foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead complex investigations and case management with procedural fairness and rigour
- Provide expert advice on child protection legislation, reportable conduct, and regulatory compliance
- Develop national frameworks, tools, and training that build safeguarding capability across teams
- Champion a child-centred culture, embedding safety and wellbeing into systems, leadership, and learning
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including child protection authorities and regulators
- Analyse data and trends to identify systemic risks and drive strategic improvements
What You’ll Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Education, Psychology, Law or a related field
- Formal training in child safeguarding, protection or investigations
- 7–10+ years’ experience in child protection, investigations, or related fields
- Deep knowledge of Australian child protection legislation and child safe standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills in complex, sensitive environments
- Proven ability to influence policy, build capability, and lead change at a national level
