Fee Help for Preschool in ACT

What is it?
The ACT Government offers funding to subsidise families out-of-pocket Preschool fees by up-to $2’575 in 2025 (up from $1’329 in 2024). The funding offsets the fees for three-year-old children that are part of our Centre’s Flying Start to School preschool program, and this is in addition to the Child Care Subsidy.
Who can get it?
To be eligible children must:
- Turn 3 years of age on or before 30 April 2025.
- Be a resident of the ACT.
- Be enrolled at a participating centre (like ours!).
- Not have accessed the three-year-old program in a previous year.
How does it work?
Eligible families will have the funding paid directly to your nominated childcare provider as a credit to reduce out-of-pocket-fees (after CCS has been applied).
- up to 6 free hours per week over 50 weeks for eligible children.
- Average saving of up-to $2’545 per eligible child.
How do I get it?
- Families must complete a declaration and consent form to nominate one service from which you would like to receive the fee relief. You can only access fee relief from one service at a time.
- Your fee relief will be passed on as a reduction in your gap fees and will be reflected in your statement from the Centre.
