Initially drawn to Guardian Gladesville with their Exceeding National Quality Standard rating and the very handy 7pm closing time (with dinner served too) which suited my work hours, I have been extremely happy, and have been with them for the past few years. The educators there are amazing - I have found them to be very attentive and supportive. Carlee, who is the current Centre Manager is fantastic, and responds particularly fast when you reach out which I find rather helpful. And an extra big shout out to Asma in the nursery there, who is absolutely amazing with babies. I call her the baby whisperer, and feel very assured when I know my youngest is in her care.

By far the best daycare centre I toured, loved it straight away. The educators care so much and always make an effort to make our little one stable and secure. Their outdoor area is incredible , free flow and gives the kids plenty of autonomy without needing to go up an elevator to get access. Plenty of activities and always lots of stories from our little one for the day

My son has been attending Guardian since he was two years old and has formed a beautiful and personal relationship with a lot of the educators! When he first started here, on days when he needed extra cuddles and attention, we were always able to drop him off in the arms of an educator. It really gave us huge comfort knowing that he was given that one on one care and made that transition smooth & easy.During pick up and drop offs we are often debriefed about their day and activities are also uploaded daily on the app with photos. Guardian provides a large outdoor playground which has enabled my son to be adventurous and independent! We have seen growth in my son’s confidence, social skills and communication! Such as speaking up to ask for help and making new friends! We would highly recommend Guardian to anyone who is looking for a childcare that provides that personal care to your little one in a fun & safe environment!

Awesome childcare. Our son has been at Guardian for over 10 months since he was 8 months old. They’ve really helped shape him into a lovely little boy. We’re always amazed at this little things he’s picked up, from putting rubbish in the bin, tucking his chair away and tidying up his toys at the end of the day. The facility is awesome, the educators amazing, and the learning program fun and engaging.Highly recommend!

The nursing team is amazing, specially the manager Soyoung who has great ideas to make the nursery very organised with all information of each child well captured. My son went to this nursery in 2013 and I was very satisfied but this year I was very impressed.

In addition to my below 12month old 5 Star review, I would like to THANK Guardian for keeping up with their professional and loving approach towards my toddler who will soon be turning 3yrs of age. Guardian is a second home to her and the caring educators are an extension of the discipline and development program that I share along with them. Keep up the great work GUARDIAN!!________________My 1 year old toddler has been a part of Guardian at Gladesville for the past 4 months and I marvel at the exponential growth phase she is going through due to all the learning and development programs that Guardian has to offer. I absolutely love to see her daily pics in action and look forward to reading her observation reports. This assures me of the constant attention that my child is given to develop not only her personality but also allows her a well rounded approach to speech, movement, talking, singing, playing, reading, learning, defining her fine motor skills, eating habits and cleanliness regime. Each educator has a combined energy of professionalism with the personal touch that I see reflecting in my girls secure and happy relationship she has developed with the team. I absolutely recommend this center for anyone who wants to have peace of mind while you are at work and are re-assured that your baby is well cared for in capable hands.

My son Charles has been at Acre Woods for 1.5years. He is my first child so I didn't really know what to expect from childcare. After talking with friends, Acre Woods does so many things above and beyond. Charles likes Dinosaurs so they made him a Dinosaur area in the room, he likes Lizards so they arranged a class excursions to go hunting for them. They genuinely care for him. His favourites are Tina and Emma and they greet him each day with a big hello, smile and hug. I'm a very happy parent.

Highly recommend Acre Woods Gladesville. Warm and friendly staff. I fell in love with the large nature play area that is partly undercover so the children always have fresh air, even on rainy days the children can play outside. The play stations change almost every month so it always appears updated and interesting. Both my children love coming to little school and each have their own favourite teacher. I’m very impressed with their learning program too. Overall, I have been super happy with the level of care my miss 2 and master 4 have had at this school.

I started my baby in the nursery at 6 months, the ladies were very sympathetic and allowed me to stay as long as I needed. There was a few issues i had with service eg daily updates/pictures not being sent or her daily sheet not being filled out, but enter the staff- Tina and Sharah, and I/we couldn't be happier. Both these girls go out of their way to look after my baby they are caring, warm, fun, knowledgeable, they are fabulous at their jobs. I like all the staff there, but Tina and Sharah are absolute stand outs, you can tell they do it for the love. Now were are 3 months later and my baby girl almost jumps out of my arms to go to them or play and most days when i collect her I get a quick glance and a smile and she crawls off to keep playing...The centre itself is HUGE my little girl is an explorer so she loves crawling from one side to the other, and they have just undergone a renovation so its all brand new!!!Highly recommend this centre

My son has been attending this centre for nearly 3 years now and loves it here, especially the huge covered play area. The staff are also great and attentive. This place also has the edge over other centres through their extended operating hours and providing a light ‘dinner’.

Rhythm of the Day

We know children (and families) like routine. Whilst no two days of learning are ever the same - here's what a day at Guardian might look like.

Morning

Our friendly Nursery team of familiar educators will be there to greet you and support your baby to settle in for the day.  Breakfast time is available & families are welcome to stay and enjoy with the children. This is also a great chance for conversation to share what is important and how your baby’s night at home was.

Mid-Morning

Our nursery learning environments are set up indoors and outdoors for your baby to engage with a variety of planned experiences while they interact with our team such as exploring picture books, singing songs together. We also offer morning tea.

Middle of the Day

Dependent on the needs of every baby, we time lunch to suit the children. Team members will support your child to eat and/or have a bottle, and when they are ready, are gently settled for sleep or rest. With an open-door policy, families can enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby if you wish.

Mid-Afternoon

Our nursery planned experiences (both indoor and outdoor) continue and there are opportunities for movement, playing games, more books and songs, or sensory exploration. Afternoon snack is provided.

End of Day

We’ll have your baby’s belongings ready for you at pick up time. The Nursery team will share information about your baby’s day and their learning, preparing you and your child for a smooth transition to your evening. Please grab a piece of fruit or snack on the way out!

Gladesville Centre Manager Image

Carlee and the team

Our Centre team, led by our experienced Centre Manager Carleethe, prides themselves on creating a great sense of community for all families.

Each role in the Centre is designed to work together to help create a nurturing environment for every child in each of our learning spaces.

In our Nursery Room, the dedicated team has a special role in creating secure attachments, routines, and strong relationships. Unique to Guardian nurseries is our Baby Ambassador, who is your go-to person for you and your baby’s first 12 months with us. They will know every detail about your baby: how breast or bottle milk is managed, how they like to eat, their sleeping routines, the nappies they wear, and more. With babies as young as six weeks in the Centre, it’s the Baby Ambassador’s job to work with families and Educators to help make our Nursery feel just like home.

Our Educators across the age groups work together to create fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate experiences for every child in their care. They are dedicated, experienced professionals who are allocated to a specific room so they can get to know each child individually and support their learning and development.

As part of our 2-year Flying Start to School program, we have degree-qualified Teachers who use the latest teaching practices to help your child build essential practical and social skills, ensuring they’re ready for their next big adventure—school!

Each room has a Lead Educator or Teacher who is responsible for planning and implementing an effective ongoing cycle of planning, documentation, and evaluation of the room’s learning program.

At the core of the Centre is our Cook—make sure you check out their daily menu when you visit. They help make food part of the learning journey and love seeing how children respond to new and exciting flavours.

The team is supported by a strong Leadership Team, including an Assistant Centre Manager and an Educational Leader.

Every role at the Centre is as important as the next.

How will you share updates about my child’s day?

Great communication is vital in our collaborative partnerships with families at the Centre. We have a variety of different ways we communicate with you about your child’s learning and progress:

  1. Storypark app - Stay connected to your child's day with regular updates, including photos and learning insights

  2. Pick-up and drop-off updates – Our Educators will share highlights from their day, including experiences they enjoyed, mealtimes, and naps to support your evening routine.

  3. In-room learning exchange displays make our weekly learning plans easy to see so you know what your child will be learning.

  4. Centre Newsletters – Great for community connection and wider Centre and team updates.

  5. Development documentation and meetings for your individual child’s progress.

But remember our door is always open.
