We are looking for a warm, energetic and skilled Barista to join our team at The Rumpus Room Darling Street!

About the Role This is not your typical café barista job — it’s a heart-filled, family-focused front-of-house role.
You will be the first friendly face families see each morning. Your mission:

✨ Keep our coffee nook running smoothly and looking beautiful
Hours:
- Monday to Friday
- 7:30am – 9:30am (10 hours per week)
- No weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality coffee and beverages for families during morning drop-off
- Greet families warmly and create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere
- Maintain the coffee area — clean, stocked, organised and inviting
- Order supplies and coordinate with the Director and admin/parent liaison team
- Complete daily and weekly machine cleaning
- Represent our centre values with positivity, professionalism and care
What We’re Looking For
- Recognised Barista training / certificate (preferred)
- Experience running a coffee setup (ordering, equipment care, food handling)
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Warm, friendly personality — great with adults and children
- Ability to work independently and manage the full coffee service workflow
- Attention to detail and commitment to a high-quality experience
