We’re pleased to share an exciting update as we head into December. Guardian has been proud to be among the first employers participating in the ECEC Multi-Employer Agreement (MEA) – and now the second stage of the Government-funded Modern Award increase has come into effect.
Our team is now receiving the full 15% increase above the award rate, delivered in two phases:
• 10% from December 2024, already backdated for eligible team members
• An additional 5% from 1 December 2025, now in place
With this second phase of this Worker Retention Payment activated, we can ensure our incredible team members feel the full benefit of this landmark investment in the sector.
