Changes to the Child Care Subsidy

Great news for families!  We’re thrilled about the new 3 Day Guarantee coming soon from 5 January 2026 – making quality early learning more accessible than ever for Australian families!

The 3 Day Guarantee – What it means for Families

• Childcare Subsidy (CCS) eligible families will be guaranteed at least 3 days (72 hours) of subsidised care per fortnight, regardless of their activity levels.
• Families who meet activity requirements, hold a valid exemption or care for a First Nations child, may be eligible for up to 100 hours of subsidised care per fortnight.

This is a big win for families with many saving thousands of dollars each year.
