Homemade Guacamole

Our Homemade Guacamole is the perfect lunch or snack option for children. Flavoursome and easy to dip into with carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, capsicum, celery or your favourite cracker.

This recipe was provided by our wonderful Cook Barbara at Guardian Evanston Gardens.

Serves 4-6


  • 2 avocados
  • 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced (optional)


  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh into a bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado with a fork to your desired consistency.
  3. Add the sweet chilli sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, white pepper, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and salt to the mashed avocado.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  5. Serve the guacamole with carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, capsicum, celery, and your choice of crackers or corn chips.
