This subsidy is available for three-year-old children enrolled in long day care programs, making it easier for families in the ACT to access quality early childhood education at a reduced cost.
ACT Government preschool subsidy overview
- Receive up to 300 hours of free preschool in 2026 for three-year-olds enrolled in long day care programs.
- This subsidy is on top of the Child Care Subsidy, offering additional savings for eligible families.
- Children must turn three years old on or before 30 April, be a resident of the ACT and not accessed this subsidy before to be eligible.
- The subsidy will be continue into 2027.
